  • On today’s episode of The Mindset Mentor Podcast where today I’m addressing the elephant in YOUR room… Yes, I meant to say it like that. What I’ve found is that there are a ton of people out there right now that are finding themselves feeling more negative than they “should” be.
I want to preface this episode by telling that there is no amount of negative or positive energy you “should” have. You are a living, breathing, human being that is going to experience all sorts of emotions in your lifetime. This is normal. What’s not normal…
Is living your life under the impression that you just have to suffer through negative thought patterns, and negative beliefs your entire life. It’s simply not true. Which is why today I’m diving deep into the negativity bias and explaining to you what it is, why it happens to you, and how you can overcome it so that you can start to live a happier, healthier, more confident life.
And if you like this episode…
Make sure to share it with someone that needs to hear it and help us get the message out there so that together we can help make people’s lives better and make the world a better place.

This video made me come to realize that I may have a strong negativity bias. Over my life, I've let minor things of the past bring me to where I am just a heald back downer. My brain translates everything I would think is negative in an equal way or almost equally, even though some of those negative things hold more weight. My negativity bias is strong and it has provoked me to act in ways that I shouldn't have. I do not know what it will take to overcome my negativity bias.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 😔 The negativity bias is a natural tendency to focus on and remember negative experiences and information more than positive ones.
02:06 🧠 The negativity bias is deeply ingrained in human psychology and likely evolved in our ancestors to help them survive in dangerous environments.
06:13 🧬 The amygdala, responsible for the negativity bias, is still active in the modern world, leading us to overemphasize negative potential outcomes.
09:58 📉 People tend to focus more on negative events to avoid pain, affecting decision-making and perception of risks.
11:25 🧠 Negative events are remembered more vividly due to enhanced cognitive processing, leading to a greater impact on our emotional state and memory.
14:57 🤔 Being intentional about focusing on the positive can help counteract the negativity bias and lead to more constructive decision-making and perception.
19:23 🙌 Transforming negative experiences into opportunities for growth and learning can turn them into positive forces in our lives.
21:41 📣 Sharing insights with others and making someone's day better can contribute to personal and collective growth.

the research points out something different. You recall more negative events because.. a) they are the exception, b) you have leaned to stay away from negative/danger. -) you actually have a lot less negative events specially in your comfort zone... (not that you’re wired)

We dont gave the same threats, watch the news, what world are you in? Focus on solutions to what worries you, since that is subjective. You cant just be a spin dr to your thoughts, some would say this viewpoint is reductive, thats one of thw reasons they came up with dialectical behavioral therapy.

🛐🙏❤facts💓❤❤💕❤❤💖💞❤❤♥️💗❤💕❤💖❤❤😭Heavenly Father JesusGod, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! In Jesus Mighty God's holy name, Amen!"
💗❤❤💞This Gospel message if you continue to believe this message, you will be saved: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried , that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time,
