The title comes from them taking all the consonants from the word IDEALIZATION. The song is basically a giant on reference to how society sees American Culture in comparison to how Americans see ourselves.
I never knew that, it makes perfect sense though. Thanks for that tidbit I can add to my seemingly endless knowledge about bands and songs 😂😂

this is one of the songs you have to listen to the studio version
not 'one of the songs' but every song as a general rule

@@rahbeat9785 I think he mainly listens to live to avoid copyright. Live versions of tracks are somewhat harder to detect within the system. And soad is pretty darn good live.

I interpret this as anger towards society. We do all these things but WHY. Where there's no meaning WHY and where there is meaning WHY allow it? For me, this song speaks against hypocrisy

So the song is fairly vague and is fairly nonsense for the most part. Although you can fit the letters of the name of the song into “idealization”from understand, Serj says it’s just nonsense But the Knightrider references are spot on. The baseline, and guitar solo are from the theme. The working tittle was called KITT and it’s also what they write on the set list.
