The compression diminishes some of the effects richness. Try effects with very little compression. Doesnt sound like your guitar needs much compression. Hope this helps.
Oh thats odd....I dont have this unit now Im afraid so I cant try anything, but it doesnt sound good TBH...if its a used item with no warranty maybe take a look inside, might juts need a bit of contact cleaner.
Hi there. Found this episode very useful. I quite like the Fishman functionality and the sounds. I may consider getting one of these….. As a side thing, I have a Taylor 616c which didn’t have a pickup installed, and I chose to install an L R Baggs, which was ok, but I wanted something a little different. I had an Ortega Magus pickup that I had bought out of interest, installed it in my Taylor and I am very impressed with it. Seems to suit the Taylor well for me. Hi bud…thanks for the comments !…yeah I was disappointed when the ES1 pickup failed, and Taylor wanted almost £400 for an ES2 , so I went LR Baggs, which is ok, though a little low output I found. Check out my vid on the T. rex Soulmate, the FX are more controllable off you need that facility.

I appreciate you not using this equipment to showcase your musical talent. Too many equipment videos have musicians with HUGE talent that I probably could never achieve. It’s as if they are trying to showcase their talent, rather than the functions of the equipment. Simple is better to demonstrate equipment features.
