The loudbox mini has only reverb and chorus, neither of which are footswitch-able. If you need delay, flanger or tremolo then the ToneDEQ would be a useful addition.
It can definitely be used for those instruments, although the EQ range and effects are optimised more for acoustic guitar, violin, mandolin etc. For electric bass I prefer something like the MXR bass preamp.
Hello Mat, that's a good question. Both of these pedals have a compressor, three band EQ, phase switch and XLR output. The Tonedeq has the four onboard effects instead of the Aura's has the imaging section. If you already have the Aura, I think that adding the Tonedeq would result in quite a bit of feature duplication, so perhaps consider adding a reverb and/or delay pedal to your board instead.
It actually has an anodized aluminum top plate, not plastic as the reviewer says.
Yes, you're correct about that, thanks for the comment 🙂
So glad to have you back. I love ALL your videos.

Great review/rundown
Thanks for watching :)
Does the Fishman Loudbox Mini do the job without this, or would having both be of value?

hello! Excuse me... is it good for double bass or electric bass? thanks for your answer😊
It can definitely be used for those instruments, although the EQ range and effects are optimised more for acoustic guitar, violin, mandolin etc. For electric bass I prefer something like the MXR bass preamp.
wow., thank you for this!
You're welcome!
I have the Fishman Aura DI. Would it make much difference if I add the Tonedeq onto my pedalboard? Thank you ✌️
