@Alex Paul Well the problem with Luke wasn't simply that he was cynical. The problem was that he refused to help his sister for reasons that weren't that justified. If he had problems with the Jedi, fine, but why did that mean he couldn't help her in a non-Jedi capacity? Obviously, he did do something eventually but there wasn't enough of a reason why he wouldn't have wanted to be involved as soon as he heard that the New Republic capitols were destroyed by the monster he helped create, who is now coming after his sister. It's Luke's prioritizing that's the problem. He's putting the importance of making a statement over the importance of trying to help the only family he has left. Also, Batman had clear reasons for being cynical, after losing his parents and just dealing with crooked and crazy people in Gotham in general. Luke doesn't have a clear reason for being cynical after Ep6. In the tent scene, Luke said he had the fleeting instinct to kill Ben and end the trouble before it began, seeming to imply that he thought if Ben turned, all would be lost and there would be no chance to bring him back to the light. But Luke would have no reason to be that pessimistic about people's ability to turn back to the light. People only become cynical when their optimism fails them, and Luke's optimism paid off in Return of the Jedi. He successfully turned a guy who had been evil for 23 years back to the light. Yet he doesn't think he can stop his own nephew from turning evil, or turning good after being evil? That's the problem. If something happened between Ep6 and the tent scene to make Luke more cynical, that's fine, but that needs to be explained as that is a major part of the story. That would be the reason it all went wrong.
Mark Hamill himself said it best: , ‘A Jedi wouldn’t give up. Even if I made the horrible mistake of picking the wrong guy and thinking he was the next hope, and instead he’s the new Hitler. Sure, I might have been traumatised, but I’d regroup and come back twice as strong” “That’s the old-school George Lucas version of a Jedi. I have to learn that it’s not about me anymore. It’s not George Lucas’s Star Wars....” Rian and Kathleen have NO understanding of Luke...
Given the fact that the resistance was commanded by female supremacist morons like Admiral Holdo and Rey went so willingly to the dark side maybe Luke was right to refuse to join in. Luke wanted to save his father but he refused to join the empire. After all choosing between the lessor of two evils is still choosing evil

Actually it's Meteor Man, Sadly. Lol Blade is definitely the first successful real African-American comic book character. Although, I think Spawn might of came out before Blade and did well.
There was actually one in 1977 called “Abar, the First Black Superman”, probably more blaxploitation than Superhero genre really but the main character did have superpowers.
Wesley Snipes´ OG Blade saved Marvel from bankruptcy and paved the way not only for the MCU but for the whole comicbook-movie trend that we experience today. Stan Lee himself said this in an interview and he gave Wesley Snipes a big shout out. DC was saved because they belonged to Time Warner, but WB wasn´t interested in making more DC movies, after the Batman & Robin flop. Marvel was almost bankrupt. Then the 1998 Blade movie made a shitload of money, despite beeing Rated-R (long before Deadpool or Logan) ,having a black protagonist and beeing about a "C-League" character to boot, that wasn´t very popular with mainstream audiences. The big studios then saw the potential to make money and Marvel´s new boss,Isaac Pehrlmutter, sold movie rights for various characters to the studios, for a big price. That´s how Sony got Spiderman,Fox the X-Men and Universal got Hulk, which lead to the complicated legal rights situation that is still going on today. What's an interview Jeremy. Kamran Pasha's insight matches my own observations about the identity politics plague in Hollywood. The Ira piece was a great example of the liberal mindset. Need more of this G+G/Kamran Pasha.
If you think it brokes the lore then just do not count it as canon, it can’t be that complicated You do not need the approval of a movie studio or other people to consider it canon or not, just make sure you take that resentment and turn it into something positive Don’t you remember when the prequels came out, how much they were panned, sure they had their supporters but they were still getting mocked like crazy We need to learn from history, otherwise we are doomed to repeat it and that is what is still happening right now, we need to move on
As a fellow brown Muslim, respect to both Kamran and you, Jeremy, for a great video. Kamran totally nails it and I hate that I'm expected to attach myself to a particular agenda. We need organic diversity, rather than the box ticking.
This was a compelling interview, it validates everything i felt about 'Luke warm' feelings on TFA, absolute disrespect shown by Rian's Johnson for TLJ and a combination of WTF and saw this coming for TROS. I grew up with the original trilogy waited all this time for only untalented agenda seekers ruining a modern masterpiece. Thanks Jeremy & Kamran.

39:36 "That was a choice, every point in the script was a choice" Exactly my point when Rian Johnson deliberately ruined Luke Skywalker in TLJ and denied he wasn't true to his character. He and that witch KK could've given Luke the proper respect he derserves but CHOSE not to.

Fascinating story about his dealing with Ira Steven Behr... I know him from his Deep Space Nine days, and is my fave Star Trek show, so interesting to hear these tidbits
More of this Jeremy! This was great, so much of what this guy had to say resonated with me! And your interview skills are on point. Asked the right questions, and the back and forth was real and comical at times! I found your page the same way he did. Was pissed off walking out of the theater the first time I saw it, I hated the movie from the first mama joke, till the end of the movie. I was looking for some validation that I couldn’t have been the only one who felt like I had just watched a Deviation from what star wars fans had expected. And not just in the smallest aspect of anticipation, but there was nothing added to the story by the last Jedi. It could be summed up in a paragraph of the intro. “Rey finds Luke who is unwilling to train her, rey confronts kylo and fails to turn him. Kylo killed meaningless leader with no back story, Snoke. .... and a bunch of meaningless crap happened on a casino island that never came to fruition for anyone or any character development. Luke dies, but didn’t die, but dies anyways.” Oh, and princess skywalker can marry poppins! 🤢🤮 it’s tragic! I. Almost feel like they should have scrapped the Lucasfilm And passed the story onto Pixar.
Kamran Pasha thank you, we need more voices like yours, what you said was the exact same thing I felt, I left force awaken thinking what the hell was that, then the last Jedi dropped, star wars died that day. But I still have a slight hope one day pre Kennedy era, it may come back. 43 Years fandom wasted,, it felt like a dagger through my heart seeing everything I loved destroyed.
Good interview. It's nice to see that people can have a place to express their opinions without being harassed. And hopefully he doesn't get harassed somewhere else for stepping out of the narrative, speaking out against it kind of.
fondest memory i have from my childhood was when i was in the 6th grade, my brother in 8th, but lord i can't remember for the life of me what day of the week it was. but the time was about 1230 or so, just started lunch, and i got called to the front office. classic minor panicking, wondering what i did to get in trouble in the middle of lunch. but on i marched. saw my dad and my brother and we left school. i asked him what this was about and if i was in trouble and my brother and dad laughed and said no. i was still confused until we went to the mall and got tickets for star wars episode 1. best seats since it was about 1 pm and no one was in the movie theater. i still hated jar jar at that age, but i mean it was star wars. the "it has X-problem(s), but it's still star wars" just isn't enough anymore, not with what disney has done... TL;DR my dad let me and my brother skip school to go watch a star wars movie when we were kids and i couldn't dream of doing that with my own kids today b/c star wars died.
Thanks for your testimony and on top of that your story was hilarious. Can't say i'm surprised but this confirms everything i assumed about Hollywood. It's toxic and they label people based on assumptions and labels.

Thank you!
@@KamranPasha72 Assalamualaikum Mr Kamran and happy Eid, looking forward for your next work about the ottoman empire. I just finished watching Rise of empire from Netflix and the Ertugrul series and I can't wait for yours.
Its a pity they never made a sequel to Tron: Legacy, that movie was awesome.
How bad would they have ruined the next movie? Would have loved to see more. Feel like we dodged a bullet considering what has been going on lately.
Then they made a TV show only to cancel that too
hope they dont, if it does happened, will be full girl, black, minority or gay computer AI fighting the internet via sjw warriors.
Damn. He wrote Sleeper Cell? That was a good show.
Thank you!
A few of my favourite episodes were his "Scholar" and "Torture" very good stuff.
This is my fav video you have ever produced. Thanks for the content!
I would watch the hell out of a video of Kamran breaking down The Last Jedi from start to finish!
Maybe some day!
He’s 100% correct @Ddaycobra I also work in the entertainment industry and we can‘t speak about it otherwise we will get fire. And then we also get black listed. So we just stay quiet.
Hope your comment makes it to the top & hope Jeremy talks with you as well! Stay strong, brotha!! 🙏💪💝
@@Vandicoup Thank you so Much!!!
This was a solid interview Jeremy. Often times I see other RUclipsrs interviewing people in show biz and they appear all nervous and awkward. It makes me uncomfortable. You got charisma.
My experience was exactly like Mr Pasha's when first watching The Last Jedi in the theatres. That yo momma joke totally ruined the immersion from the start and the movie never felt like Star Wars.
I remember being dumbfounded in the movie theater when that joke came up and many people in the audience laughed. I felt like I missed something
Kamran Pasha, well said. Glad you're making it and keeping it real at the same time.
Thank you!
This guy is so genuine and respectful to what's important i can't believe he's a producer. Why can't there be more people like him in the industry??!
The town doesn't want people like me!
Great guest and interview Kamran talks a lot of sense
Very insightful interview. It's basically what everyone assumes is happening only it's being confirmed by an insider.
Very insightful comment!
If Kamran has time and is interested get him to guest on the High Council
Yes. We definitely need him on, at least once but if he could show up for more, that would be great. Fandom Menace needs to talk to people in Hollywood. Hopefully positive changes come from that.
Amazing interview Jeremy. Thank you so much for hosting this debate, one of the best examples of left and right seeing eye to eye on something for once. So happy I found this channel.
Jeremy and Kamran, thank you so very much for this discussion!
You're welcome!
Great interview Jeremy, hope to see more of this dude.
What's an interview Jeremy.
Kamran Pasha's insight matches my own observations about the identity politics plague in Hollywood.
The Ira piece was a great example of the liberal mindset.
Need more of this G+G/Kamran Pasha.
Thanks!
The man's feelings about TLJ is precisely how I felt and I'm sure how many felt the first time they saw it.
It’s been almost 3 years since TLJ came out, don’t you think it’s time to let go of your resentment and move on ?
If you think it brokes the lore then just do not count it as canon, it can’t be that complicated
You do not need the approval of a movie studio or other people to consider it canon or not, just make sure you take that resentment and turn it into something positive
Don’t you remember when the prequels came out, how much they were panned, sure they had their supporters but they were still getting mocked like crazy
We need to learn from history, otherwise we are doomed to repeat it and that is what is still happening right now, we need to move on
I hope this interview goes viral so everyone in the world will finally realize just how hypocritical Hollywood is.
Amazing insight from Kamran, I actually urge any of you guys to check out some of his work. Sleeper Cell is a personal favorite of mine.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked Sleeper Cell -- I'm very proud of that show!
This is highly interesting, Jeremy! Good to see ppl like Kamran speaking out. Keep it coming!
I really want to hear this man's insights on The Rise of Skywalker. Let's make this happen guys!
Maybe one day!
Amazing Interview, Geeks and Gamers is starting to shine very bright.
As a fellow brown Muslim, respect to both Kamran and you, Jeremy, for a great video. Kamran totally nails it and I hate that I'm expected to attach myself to a particular agenda. We need organic diversity, rather than the box ticking.
The objective is to look diverse while maintaining conformity of thought.
This man has put all of my feelings about Star Wars into a coherent, logical and down right accurate conversation.
This country was built on natural law. The only way to get this country back is to choose virtue.
@bizkitgto feminism is everywhere
Hopefully you don't mean virtue signalling.
Great Interview. I want to see more interviews on this channel
That was an excellent episode. I didn’t realise Mr Pasha made tron uprising that was a great series with a lot of potential
I'm glad you liked my show!
KamranPasha72 loved it and who knows they need content and trumps in office. Maybe you’ll get a call stranger things have happened
Fascinating and very illuminating discussion. Kudos. Excellent stuff.
This....is the most important conversation I have ever heard.
I am glad you liked it!
KamranPasha72 You did an amazing job and it was very enlightening and inspiring as someone who isn’t white. Thank you for sharing your insight. :)
Brilliant interview. And what a nice down to earth guy Kamran is.
You're welcome!
"There's nothing more offensive than subverting your audience's expectations! You should SURPRISE your audience, you should DELIGHT your audience, but, to subvert them, means that you're insulting them. So, I find that very offensive!"
... You know, it just hit me. I never learned the dictionary definition of subvert and I feel shame for that being a writer and actor myself. Let's see.
"To undermine the power and authority of (an established system or institution)."
................................ You language loading, cultist motha-fucka's.
This is a brilliant discussion with some fascinating stories.
Still hoping that Star Wars is taken away from the mouse some day. We definitely need more people like Kamran in the entertainment industry. Much respect for this man for having the courage to speak his mind and the truth.
Thank you!
@@KamranPasha72 Thank you Sir, the world needs more intelligent people like you. I hope someday you will be given the opportunity to produce one of your Luke Skywalker stories for the silver screen.
This is a great conversation, the world needs more of this. Thank you both!
I could listen to this guy talk for hours!!
Big ole facts here.
He's expressing exactly how I feel about certain things, but I'm not smart enough to articulate.
Thank you!
39:36 "That was a choice, every point in the script was a choice" Exactly my point when Rian Johnson deliberately ruined Luke Skywalker in TLJ and denied he wasn't true to his character. He and that witch KK could've given Luke the proper respect he derserves but CHOSE not to.
bingo
excellent interview! good points all around! nice to see there are people like this out there who dare speak against the bs and just want to give good content to us viewers, because that is all we care.
Thank you for great video!
This was an amazing interview I'm glad that y'all were able to do this.
Thanks!
Great conversation, I love the G+G interviews. Right on to Kamran Pasha for taking this huge risk and for Jeremy for getting him on for a legitimate conversation.
Thank you!
Kamran gained a new Twitter follower. Hope he continues to have success as he's the sort of person we need in Hollywood.
Great interview and the ottoman show sounds really good , I enjoyed the factual series they did on Netflix recently.
Fascinating story about his dealing with Ira Steven Behr... I know him from his Deep Space Nine days, and is my fave Star Trek show, so interesting to hear these tidbits
Enjoyed this conversation thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Great interview!!!
I'm as Pro-black as it gets, and I've always enjoyed this channel. I'm anti feminism and anti social justice warrior, in movies...
Great interview and it is always interesting to get an insight from creatives in Hollywood!
This was a great interview, and for me the best video you've done in a while! 10 out of 10. Keep up the great work.
Great interview Jeremy...
Really great interview with someone in the business. Thanks!
This was an awesome discussion between 2 different veiw points but still come together and have a great talk damn it we need more of this
Great interview Jeremy. We weren't imagining things after all.
I hope you do more interviews. You earned my membership with this video. Into tomorrow Geeks and Gamers!!!!!
Great video, discussion and interview. Would love to see more of these kind of videos.
This man gives me hope. Great interview, Kamran Pasha. Thanks Jeremy for setting it up.
Don't give up hope -- we will get Star Wars back one day. As we Muslims say -- Inshallah, God willing!
Happy end of Ramadan to you sir
Salam from Malaysia
Good interview. It's nice to see that people can have a place to express their opinions without being harassed. And hopefully he doesn't get harassed somewhere else for stepping out of the narrative, speaking out against it kind of.
Something better be done before the wokes execute their version of Order 66.
HAIL Prime and HAIL Kamran Hollywood needs more normal level headed creators like this guy, great interview Jeremy
HAIL Geeks+Gamers
fondest memory i have from my childhood was when i was in the 6th grade, my brother in 8th, but lord i can't remember for the life of me what day of the week it was. but the time was about 1230 or so, just started lunch, and i got called to the front office. classic minor panicking, wondering what i did to get in trouble in the middle of lunch. but on i marched. saw my dad and my brother and we left school. i asked him what this was about and if i was in trouble and my brother and dad laughed and said no. i was still confused until we went to the mall and got tickets for star wars episode 1. best seats since it was about 1 pm and no one was in the movie theater. i still hated jar jar at that age, but i mean it was star wars. the "it has X-problem(s), but it's still star wars" just isn't enough anymore, not with what disney has done...
TL;DR my dad let me and my brother skip school to go watch a star wars movie when we were kids and i couldn't dream of doing that with my own kids today b/c star wars died.
Kamran Pash -you are spot on! I understand! I can't wait until he is back on your channel again!
Thanks!
Thanks for your testimony and on top of that your story was hilarious. Can't say i'm surprised but this confirms everything i assumed about Hollywood. It's toxic and they label people based on assumptions and labels.
