Brendan Fairclough had the most Rampagy of Rampage runs! The Battle Ship gap up top, the insane chute, and the canyon gap that no one dared to build in previous years. That team always builds some of the most aesthetic, natural, and gnarly lines! I really hope that the boys aren't too discouraged to come back next year!
Why would he go back? It’s clear and obvious that the judges don’t score the contest correctly. I love watching rampage and every rider out there is a winner for even attempting it but this year left a sour taste. Judges more interested in slope style rather than free ride.
He should have won. Zines run was 2nd best. Alba 3rd. 🎉 Gee should have got something for his drop too. Even though he didn't compete it was massive and beyond impressive.
Brendan totally deserved 1st or 2nd. His line is the epitome of what Rampage is or maybe was. TVS maybe 4th or 5th and that’s a big maybe. Beinve deserved much higher also even though they gave him almost every other award. Zink’s run was pretty impressive with the speed and style he carried throughout. Big respect to everyone who rode as it is all Gnarly but cmon a cave man, flip and a 3 gets scored higher🤷🏽
Felt like I’d stumbled into CrankWorks scoring…😢 BrenDog was a 94. The 95 was a 92. And that front flip over the canyon should have been scored much higher too, especially within the complete run. Anyway, we all have our winner @BrendanFairclough 🎉🎉🎉
In the past i have grown tired of saying someone got robbed at every rampage.... however this year brendog got shafted big time. 4th place (i think that run was deserving of a podium spot) and not a single of the other awards is daylight robbery especially since the digger crew that won didn't even build a new line (as far as i know) most of the features they build were there last year. Brendans team built one of the gnarliest lines down a mountain already chalk full of lines and that gets overlooked. Then again armchair expert right here so maybe I got
the craziest thing for me is that TVS had a better score than Semenuk last year using his line . And with a less impressive run in my opinion. There is something wrong.
Straight up agree! They built a brand new line catching up to every one else, last of the hill digging etc. The Bendog sends it flawlessly fist time on the most gnarliest of lines to miss out on a podium. The judges should hang their heads in shame! I think he should of won

Bienve and Brendog deserved much more. I’m not saying Cam Zink’s run was bad, but sorry it was not 95. Bienve front flipped nearly the same distance. I hope Simon is OK and they build a European version of Rampage!
Oh man! Szymon is where I tuned in, that was the first thing I saw. I honestly didn’t think he was getting up a that. It was terrifying. I don’t think it even makes sense scoring this stuff and putting an order on who does what. They’re all putting everything on the line!
Same distance sure, but Zink also dropped about 40ft vertical. It's the biggest flip step down ever and the most rampage move of the day, he deserved the win

Amazing lines for both Bienvenido and Brendan. Both underscored in my opinion. Great progression of the event with the new features: the battleship built by Godziek dig crew and canyon gap by Brendog's. Speedy recovery Szymon! Already looking forward to Rampage 2024!
Brendog was the only run where if he failed to make the canyon or slipped off the battleship he would be dead. All the other runs, yes they would get injured and hobble off, but Bren would be 100% dead. He ran a proper freeride line perfectly, the rest apart from the canyon front flip were just running a smooth slopestyle event and the judges were marking slopestyle, not freeride. I think they held his score at 86 so they had room at the top for wriggle room, (very common in gymnastics), but I dont blame him for not doing a second run with that farsical score of 95, I mean WTF was that for.

Judges prefer seeing their friend do the same flip he did 10 years ago. Worlds-first canyon gap frontflip? Crazy lines? Progression? Meh, boring, 70 points. The Riders were amazing, but I'm still gutted for Brendog, as the consequence of that gap was one of the highest out of all of the lines, and especially when he threw that sui no-hander! Perhaps he needed more trick variations in the rest of the run, kinda like the judges said about Bienve's runs? The judging for an event with everyone on different lines must be such a hard thing to do, I wouldn't want to do it!
Thats the problem with rampage now. It's become more if a slopestyle event in a big mountain setting. Bren had the lines that was most free ride imo. He should've gotten top 3 just for pulling off that line
They just didn’t get any angles on Brendon’s canyon gap to show how fricking gnarly it was. Once again the big show jump gets the points even though it’s just a huge, wide groomed drop. Why 9pts more!?!?! Sorry. Judges need to explain why he got SO much more because the entire world can’t work it out.
Such an incredible event ruined by absolutely idiotic judging. Why even try to market it as a freeride event, if one of the most gnarliest freeride lines i've ever seen doesn't even make it to the podium? Really left a bitter taste even after witnessing some of the greatest feats of this sport.

Only 1 RedBull rider in the top 5 this year. The winner the past two years has been non-Redbull. RedBull is obviously not the issue at Rampage. I think it's more so judges who are closer friends with certain riders and not others.

Alba 2nd Van 3rd Zink 4th
so many Thanks to Red Bull, for this compition .. and and this glory Riders, for the amazing action and style. Thats realy pure sport in 2023 ! ( Grüße aus D. )
How brendogs line didn't place higher 🙄 judges won't let a monster sponsored rider win tho.......
I wanted Brendog to win and do feel he wasnt placed high enough but, Zink is sponsored by Monster too.
Oh yes, its a giant conspiracy to award riders of certain sponsors. LOL f- off back to reddit with your crappy takes.
cam zink is sponsored by monster and he won. I guess the problem is somewhere else with the judges...
NA can't dominate Slopestyle, downhill and even crosscountry so they have to have a token win in the free ride I guess.🤷♂
Only 1 RedBull rider in the top 5 this year. The winner the past two years has been non-Redbull.
RedBull is obviously not the issue at Rampage. I think it's more so judges who are closer friends with certain riders and not others.
All the best to Szymon!!
Awesome edit and recap! Thanks PB.
Bienve's canyon gap front flip is crazy!!
Bienvenido’s front flip gap jump should have been a Podium finish for him. Damn Rampage is rigged like the Oscars now..
I’m done with Rampage now; the judges messed up this year big time. I’ll join Brendog and mow my lawn perfectly this weekend as obviously that is what the judges want to see.
One of the best rampages I’ve ever seen, Congratulations to every rider that gave it their all!! However this shouldn’t be a judged event because it’s an impossible task. 👏
Not set en an interview with THE BRENDOG?let’s GOooo…!!!
Bredog 4th by a hair... When are they just gonna give him a bloody podium, the historic canyon gap alone deserved something...
Rampage is just a gawd damn popularity contest!🥴
I always find it amazing how consistent some of the top names in MTB are. I've been watching these guys since I was a teen and I'm 30 now.
#BRENROBBED
a complete robbery of Brendan and Bienvenido Aguado, WTF!
I agree totally
Judges should retire. Bienve and Brendog should have been on the podium.
Gawd. I remember Kyle Straight as a grom. I'm feeling super old but he's still riding. Respect
Bienvenido deserved to be on the podium
The awards Bienvenido received carry so much more weight than the judges decision.
The prize money should reflect this. 👊🏻🔥
fairclough was robbed.! judges were hella biased, 95 for zink.?
They forgot to give Bren dog and bienve the you got screwed by the judges award.
Brendog for the win 🏆 firm winner in my eyes 👀 😊❤
Bienvenido for sure earned those awards. You have to have a blatant disregard for your own safety to do a FRONT FLIP on that massive long and low kicker
It definitely helps to have your mates as judges
Monster needs to make there own event. The judging was def favored to a select group of homies. Brendogs raw line was the coolest and gnarliest thing rampage has ever seen.
Monster Mampage ™️
Unreal that Kyle and Cam are still in it and on the podium! LEGEND!!!
Helps when you're butt buddies with the judges
Fixxxeddd
Sickest 8th place run of all time
Gotta be in the in crowd to win a non timed RedBull event...
Ive come to find just watch Rampage and skip the scores. We all know what the gnarliest runs were and who deserved the most recognition. The comments all support them. It should not be a judged event in the end.
Everyone rode around the battle ship that went that way and didnt even consider the canyon gap. As soon as a rider goes that way and skips the battle ship they should not get a higher score than Bren
what a show it has been 🙌🔥
i tried to watch it live while in school, but i didn’t have espn+
You need to sort the judging red bull... Getting to be a joke now. Ruins the whole thing. As the guy said read the room, what a let down, not what a show 😢
Dudes droppin drops - judges droppin the ball
What a shitshow the judging has been. - corrected it for you @RedBullBike
Tippie got robbed! Should have won the best presenter award for sure!!!
Muito bom.
Parabéns.
Que Deus abençoe está juventude.
pour moi l'ordre aurait du être : Bienvenido, brendog et Kyle !!!
Kyle ?? Not evrn in top 5
1. Zink
2. Bienvenido
3. Brendog
Just insane😮!!!
Kyle strait throwing his signature sui off a huge drop has to be one of the most iconic images in free ride mtb.
🥱
Justice for Alba
Anyone think it should have a little bit of high diving style scoring. Basically they inform judges of there lines. Which can in itself be scored with difficulty. Then its done execution and style.
Big props to Cam!! He really deserved the win. Since some backflip run, a few years ago............
Big thanks for bringing the single crown Forks to Rampage, Mr Semunuk! Barspins were exactly those tricks, Wich you can't see
everywhere, everytime from allmost every dirt rider, so it was Fucking important, to include it to only big bike event that exist ( ted?...)!?! But hey, I finally managed a bar spin two weeks ago, with my stupid Fox 40 🤣😁👍 You know, just tried to be as hippster like, as the young Gen Z🤣🤣‼️
Bienve and Fairclough got robbed big time. The judges giving Bienve 8th place is insulting. Both of those guys had the gnarliest runs out of everyone.
the winning 95 was just about history, nothing else.
the fact that the judges all jumped out they`re seat for a flip that he did already years ago?
the guy frontfliping the canyon deserves a podium for sure.
almost like beeing robbed because they like some guy better than another``
for sure not watching this again
it's a great run, but something about the "10 years after his iconic back flip" he does it again and wins thing that's just a bit too good of a story not to question a score that high
And no interview with Bren shown on this vid, very suspicious
