This is the best intro you’ve ever done! Seriously, this was a 1st class introduction. Congratulations on the evolution of your video production. You are our household favorite for local fishing entertainment and education.
Great job on the air views. I live in Rockport and do a lot of kayak fishing, if I see you on the water I'll be happy to show you some of my favorite spots. Tight Lines, Be Well.
Im so excited!!! Im from Humble/Houston we made it to Victoria tonight, at the LA quintana plus and to Rockport in the morning! Little bay, Arkansas bay,Arkansas pass here we come! Family kitchen Cafe is the best ever ,epic ! 2 eggs 2 biscuits, hashbrowns,AND A BIG CHICKEN FRIED STEAK 10 BUCKS!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Doc Nick! You slayed it on this video! Not only are your wildlife vids and their accompanying music Superb, but also your humility shows through when you don't catch a load of fish. Your style is perfect to teach young folks to endure less than optimum situations; your sharing the local area high spots, and your organization of all three are great. By the way, the tree you highlighted is no doubt a Quercus virginiana {Live Oak} which deserves the respect of we mortals. Many thanks for your efforts and best wishes to Dear Allison from the old First Sergeant. 🤠
I’m glad I’ve discovered your RUclips channel. Your videos are awesome, entertaining and informative. Best of all you’re in Houston! I live in League City (South Shore Harbour). Thanks again!
So glad I stumbled upon this channel. Excellent editing. I true outdoors man. So impressed by his respect of the small reds. Class act and a depth of character not often seen.
Excellent production values and a pleasure to watch. I’ve fished Rockport for over 50 years, and you’ve done a terrific job. Would love to fish with you anytime!
My brothers and i been going since we were youngsters there and aransas pass its great that you created a tribute to this outstanding fishery and small town. Keep it coming Nick wish we could get together with you someday by then hope i have my big fish 108 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Nick for coming to Rockport and fishing Port Bay. There’s better fishing at Lighthouse Lakes and Brown & Root Flats between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas with more grass beds and oyster beds with clear water. Next time you come we should try those areas. George
I have been in Rockport the last four days fishing hard! Same situation. High winds, low tide movement. In my arsenal of Buggs, the only one I didn’t throw was the Hothead. Ugh! Caught a few 13” throwback Specs and a small Red. Fish were there somewhere because at the cleaning station they had chests FULL of Reds & Trout. But, you know what they say; any day on the water is a good say. Headed home to the Galveston area tomorrow.
Thanks for this vid. I've fished a lot of the same areas that you have covered in your vids. It's a lot of fun watching you cover some of the same areas.
Awesome video, editing, and music selection. Definitely love the travel videos and seeing fishing spots in TX. Keep up the great vids- really appreciate it.
I was just there this weekend I got 3 keepers and some crab I wish I saw you I left today it was Wendy this weekend because it’s hurricane season me and my dad had fun I love your vids
Grew up on Copano Bay, great place with super cool places to visit. The fishing can be slow especially if you don't know it but fall and winter is really great! Loving the road trips!!! Thank you partner!
Dad has been guiding fishing charters in that area for 40 years. It's a beautiful place for living the salt life. Awesome videos real enjoying the destination type videos you been doing.🤙
Had my personal best trout fishing day (10 very nice ones) at that spot about ten years ago. Around Christmas time, in the afternoon when the water warmed up a bit. Fished mud and shell mix.
i love your coverage on my home town . i have been relocated to Austin due to hurricane Harvey . but i love seeing my home town in your video . .do make a point to go back in winter get the good fishing in and check out some of the hunting lease during duck season and get out on the air boat for it .
Thanks for coming down to rockport and not stop at the fish cleaning station cuz I was there clean up the fish but was a good day to be out on the water.
It is a fantastic area to fish, dine, kayak or just relax. Folks around here pronounce Co'pano Bay (accent on first syllable). Nonetheless, great video and you made us want to go there soon. Thanks and tight lines.
Nice entertaining/informative video. I sailed to Rockport many years ago with a friend who had a house a few blocks from the small boat harbor. Did some crabbing but no fishing.
great video going to winter in Rockport bringing 2 kayaks hoping I can get on some good fishing. I'm from the Missouri Ozarks so it will be all new to me
I'm sure some pronounce Copano the way you said it but we always pronounced it the first "o" being a long o sound. This was a great video and I love fishing port and Copano, my hometown being just north. Like others mentioned, great year round fishing, not just winter time.
Rockport is a cool town. You definitely need to go down there for oyster fest one year if you like oysters. Those ladyfish are fun to catch but man are they some pooping machines. I kept waiting for that fish to poop all over your kayak.
Dude you're getting really good at this video thing! Love Rockport heading there in couple weeks.. Goose Island is a great place. Rebuilding the big fishing pier that was destroyed by the hurricane. Great kayak fishing there as well..
Great video Nick! Thanks for showing us around Rockport. Been down there a bunch over the years. I was wondering how they were coming along with their rebuild after Hurricane Harvey. We used to stay at Goose Island SP all the time! Tip! Night fishing under the lights pays off limits of trout all the time! Keep the great videos coming!
Fishing Port Bay this weekend, my dad’s house is right on the water and almost in view on your footage.. there’s some good spots out there, just have to know where to go, been finding good black drum and nice trout during the last few months, keeper reds are hard to come by until fall/winter.. there’s some cool little marsh cuts across the bay from where you launched but if that wind is blowing, it’s rough getting anywhere out there
Do you fish the Mission River by kayak? I've always been curious of doing that Launching from the boat ramp to the mouth of the river How long does it take by kayak looks far on Google maps the last time I cruzed down the river was when I was a kiddo on my dad's boat in the early 90s
Solid video Nick! Rockport is where I do most of my fishing. Might try back in the marsh. There's some in the northwest end of Port Bay and some on the south end of the bay. I agree the tide probably had something to do with the bite.
You should head to the north shore of copano bay during the time around thanksgiving where there is a north wind. The water gets clear and there are tons of trout and reds!
What's too much wind for you? I didn't go out this evening because it was blowing at 14 mph. Im going to try again early tomorrow. Cool video! I like how you're changing it up.
If you see this please reply have you had any more trouble with your power if so please let me know also I have a questiondoes the little green line on top of the power pole blink all the time the batteries hooked up thanks Nick keep pumping out the great videos
Just ordered my first kayak (Hoodoo Tempest) and hope to meet you on the water someday. I’ve never kayaked so I’m hoping for the best as I get started. Great show.
Jens Williamson, III (Deaf) Please stay positive when The Goose Island State Park will open up this October 2020. Okay! Have a great day! Wow I’m blown away at this awesome editing!!
It's not just a winter time area... I've been doing pretty good here lately. Caught a limit of reds in my video yesterday. So don't be discouraged

Thresher fishing is a good channel
Used to camp there every year before I left TX over 30 yrs ago.
Try Aransas Pass on your Texas fishing travels. Just a short distance from rockport. Lots of marsh areas and inlets.

You need to go a little further down the road to the Mission river and fish the mouth of Mission bay.
Do you fish the Mission River by kayak? I've always been curious of doing that Launching from the boat ramp to the mouth of the river How long does it take by kayak looks far on Google maps the last time I cruzed down the river was when I was a kiddo on my dad's boat in the early 90s
Lotta gators up that way
Great video !!! Thats right in my fishing area. Lots of fish around here
Solid video Nick! Rockport is where I do most of my fishing. Might try back in the marsh. There's some in the northwest end of Port Bay and some on the south end of the bay. I agree the tide probably had something to do with the bite.

Rockport, TX 78382
United States, there’s a really good Pier their, last time I went we caught over 19 fish
No way ive been there these past couple of days, so upset i didnt get to see you 😡😂
Love your channel brother
amazing
Visited the old tree, three years ago.
Hey Nick, it’s pronounced “Co-Puno” Bay but spelled Copano Bay.
Great little town, nice of you give it some exposure. 30 Miles out fishes that area
Yes, you're correct, on the pronunciation.
Should have fished in the very back of the bay near Bayside. Port A gets a lot of fishing pressure.
What's too much wind for you? I didn't go out this evening because it was blowing at 14 mph. Im going to try again early tomorrow. Cool video! I like how you're changing it up.
best place to live and fish.
Great Video. What mount is the pole on the Kayak looks to have a phone mount on it?

Grew up here in the 90's ...😭😏🤪🥳
Noticed that you have fishfinder mounted. What is your power source and how did you mount transducer ( under yak or over side)
How often do you apply the pro cure?
What shimano baitcaster are u using towards the end?
That guy had a pretty big kayak was it sit inside do you know what kind it was? Great video hope to visit Texas soon my brother lives in Houston area
