A question for yourself and Trevor. Will a Jetspeed and a Tacks skate essentially fit the same in the exact same size and width? I am a 10.5 wide and tried on a Jetspeed FT680 and it felt great. Essentially will a 10.5 wide Tacks fit the same as far as length and width goes? I understand that different tongues and foams will make it feel different but will it be essentially the same size boot? What about heel depth? Like the Vapour vs Supreme, the vapour has that agile cut and doesn't wrap around the top of the foot as much? Is that the same with the Jetspeed vs Tacks?
Also where are all your Tacks skates in larger adult sizes in Canada? No 10.5 wide to be found anywhere. Thanks
Hey there, they fit very similarly but I wouldn't say exactly the same. The different foams and composites definitely make these feel different from one another but at the end of the day, starting at a 10.5W is right where I would start you in the fitting process. The high-end JetSpeed does have an asymmetrical quarter package while the Tacks do have a slightly taller quarter package themselves as well, but I don't think the fit difference between CCM families is as drastic as the Bauer families.

@@ice.warehouse Would you say the Tacks have a smaller Heel pocket than the Jetspeeds? Additionally, I would like to know if the Tacks have a wider forefoot compartment than the Jetspeeds

That's correct, CCM is moving forward with the Tacks and JetSpeed Lines only.

I have my dad's late '70s Tacks in the basement. No tears in the leather and he played every week for decades.
@@andypetrovich2155 I had a pair of the first Super Tacks in 1973. They had the nylon boot and toe. Were a bitch to break-in.
I would love to see a series of games where today’s players played in the equipment from the 70s especially the goalies, with the rules from that time as well. Would be interesting. 🤔
McDavid, Crosby won't wear the one-piece boot version, why is that?? Pretty telling.
Its telling how superstitious they are lol... The Jetspeed and ASV line of skates are extremely popular amongst the pro players.
