Your donations will be used for making my videos better. I will be really grateful. I will use the received donation for making my videos better, to buy lights for my setup, to design my room accordingly, to buy a camera, video editing software, animating software, and more. Наука
I took several ideas for my customization. Thanks!
Yet another great customization video. You always impress. Well done.
Glad you like them!
This looks sensational!
Thank so much for this design ... Please make more of such vids if possible great work bro ... I love it
Idea for a guide: Configuring window behavior. Remembering positions etc. This is a significant advantage of KDE plasma. There are applications for other desktop environments that track the behavior of windows, but for example I was unable to run such applications in Linux Mint (cinnamon).
By the way, such things only in Linux. In Windows, I have never had a dedicated application fail to open.
Try binding alt+tab to the "present windows" effect. ( On system settings > desktop effects )
You wont ever need to search for a window, as present windows has a filtering option, and you can just type the window title.
This eliminates the need of a taskbar, so I only have centered, autohidable and tiny panel with my system tray, virtual desktop pager, and the "start button".
Clean minimal and super efficient.
Nice customisation as usual, keep up the good work👍
Thank you very much!
I removed the panel, install Latte dock, made it autohide, transparent background, essential apps pinned, install tlp & pinned big Sur battery indicator. Also using variety I can change my wallpapers, quotes. Mcmojave is default theme, portal as SDDM, quark light as splash screen.
very nice and great job
Thank you! Cheers!
Que bonito!
I've been told not to use latte dock as its resource heavy and no longer updated/supported...? Any alternative?
I love the video but I have a question. At minute 19:14 your Dolphin has only the left menu in glass mode, but at minute 22 Dolphin is completely in glass mode. How? I've been trying all day.
It doesn't matter anymore, I found out it was a configuration option in Kvantum manager.
It just came across my mind, I have seen people replicating the looks of windows and Mac on KDE. But, I have never seen people try to replicate looks of Gnome or Deepin or UKUI, etc on KDE. Are they achievable? I am not a KDE user so, I can't answer this question.
I use kubuntu and I've seen themes available for download that look like Deepin, Windows 11, Mac, etc. I'm sure whatever you're looking for, someone has already made it.
i have an error while trying to download the widgets: SSL handshake failed
Is there any viruses in themes and widgets? Or in latte dock?
It will work the same in any other distribution?
Looks like another macos rice but still looks great. Nice work!
Thank you so much! Probably my second Mac inspired rice after a long time.
What's wrong with macos rice?
@@gamunu.bnothing just saying 😅
@@gamunu.b macos sucks by default so....... everything.
More widget videos please.
You lost me at install latte dock. I've had nothing but trouble with any distro that has that included.
Glad to know your opinion. 💜
I really do not get, why there exist so many kde->mac-look-alike videos. The Windows-like Workflow KDE kind of defaults to comes with its own strengths. Without saying Mac is bad or so, I would find a customization Video about tweaking that Default Workflow or creating something creative and completely new far more interesting than the 10000000th Mac Look alike Howto on YT, because this is getting really old.
First of all, it's not Mac, and Mac didn't start the up-top taskbar with lower launcher. This is UNIX.
I don't get why user preferences are a problem, each and every person can use whatever it makes feel comfortable or happy
Can I implement this on arch Linux kde ?
The distro doesn't matter, once it runs with Plasma desktop.
just use gnome !
Great suggestion but this video is for those KDE users!
Fedora Gnome from scratch, blurred windows.
