One thing that Brett did not say was that it comes with a "Canopy Mask" set also. I am so looking forward in getting this kit!
Thanks again for another lovely review! I’ve built the Academy, which built up well but paled in comparison to what you just showed us (and the decals were horrible). Arma is quickly building an amazing reputation, and they’re great at picking deserved but under-represented subjects. Perhaps they’ll do an F8F next so I can complete my Grumman cat collection…

This looks like a very nice kit, but take a look at KP’s P-51B released around 2016. To me I felt that was the best P-51B in 1/72.
Hi Bob, I just checked back to Glen Porter's 2015 review of the KP P-51B/C etc. You can see it here www.hyperscale.com/2015/reviews/kits/kpm0032reviewgp_1.htm
His Conclusion - "Okay, this is not the ultimate P-51B/C and with the amount of faults I’ve pointed out you could be excused for thinking this is a very poor kit but nearly all the faults are very minor, easily fixed or not worth worrying about and in fact I will stick my neck out and say in my opinion, this is the best P-51B/C on the market until some one like Tamiya comes along and gives us some thing better."
It looks like all of these issues have been addressed in the new ARMA Hobby kit. Good times!
I will be keen to see this and the FM1 and FM2 combo. I have built three Arma Hurricanes (2x Mk1 and IIC), the Yak 1b and the Wildcat VI. Still have the Mk I Trop, IIb Hurricane and FM-2 to build and I have just received my F4F which I will build into a Martlet II. They are great kits.

Yes, it has been very mild and wet for this time of year but much warmer over the last couple of days.

the kit looks like a gamechanger, and I've ordered one. BUT, I see a massive flaw (which a half-experienced modeller should be able to navigate): the sprue gate for the scoop opening is huge. This will require some delicate removal and cleanup.
I'm quite surprised, given the thought gone into the rest of this kit.
Lovely video as usual and that kit looks promising.
Great review..if its anything like their Wildcat it should be a great build.
It would be great if Arma would do a 1/72 P51A and/or A36. Definite lack of decent Allison engined Mustang variants.

Except for being the wrong scale, ie too small, it looks alright - apart from those stainless steel plates on the inner landing gear doors..
It's in the master scale, the scale that all other scales wish they could be!
@@arrrgee Not really.. More like the child scale, where kids start - but actual modellers move on so..
@@ja37d-34 Nice effort calling me a kid, however for you old folk with your failing eyesight the larger scales are the only ones you can make with trembling hands, you can't cope anymore with the full glory that is 1/72!!

Ah, I haven’t seen that one
It's from 2015, so not so new anymore. I don't like how KP designed the canopy, molded as a single piece, rear windows as a part of it. Never finished any of them. This Arma kit is superior in every possible way.
@@thekinksfan5102 my mistake. New boxing rather than new tool. Have to say the Arma kit looks stunning.
KP is still the best on the market. ARMA Is a close 2nd place. Hope brengun releases a B/C. Their Allison mustangs are gorgeous

Geez, hold the sprues up to the camera with two hands; was getting nauseous with the shaking...lol.
You might want to pixellate your address at the start, Brett....
OH LOOK! ANOTHER P-51! YAWN. Well, that matches the poor construction of the 51. The wings are separate from the fuse. Then both sections are bolted together. The reason the 51 had so many structure failures. Only two good things of the kit, one piece wheels,and malcolm hood. Best part though, It'll never be in my stash.
