- In this video I run through the Lego I was given for Christmas, I decide on which Lego modular to build to start my Lego city, I build it and give an overview.

Good video Thx. I like the calm and posed tone you chose. I am just building from scratch a City, just as you, but I have trains and tracks adding to the difficulty. I have Police station, Bookshop, Boutique Hotel, Sanctum Sanctorum and Assembly square just as you, and lots of friends and Creator sets for Moc's. I got the Daily Bugle set, now I want to start a city
I love the look of it and will definitely get it sometime! I can definitely recommend the Bookshop, especially as it’s retiring soon
The only recent set i decided not to get, for some reason it didn't resonnate with me, maybe I'll regret it later as it already retired? time will tell 😂

Can you use the mils plate to extend the basement for greater hight?
I don’t think it would be necessary, as if you wanted to all you would need to do is add layers of bricks to that section to your desired height. I think it’s intended as a ‘crawl space’ rather than a basement, as it’s not tall enough for minifigs but wouldn’t be hard to increase the height
Where do you get the 16 x 32 base plates. I can only ever find 32 x 32 base plates
They came with the Bookshop modular as it is two separate 16x32 builds. You could try Bricklink or Brickowl websites, usually some there for sale.
