I love this because it isn't just a theme for the doctor. It's the doctor himself as a song. It's so hopeful and magical, and it makes you feel like nothing can stand in its way. It's so beautiful and sad, and inspiring. Yet underneath you can hear the anger and fury but it's all so mixed up and powerful you just get swept along. And you feel like running. It's called I am the doctor. But that's the song naming itself.
I feel like nine is a very under appreciated doctor. Like when I first got my family to watch I told them that they had to start off at nine but after watching the first three episodes they said they wanted to skip to eleven because nine's graphics were horrible and they had heard good things about Matt. So I was just like "okaaaayyyy......" with a really pitiful look on my face.
I agree, 9 doesn't often get the credit he deserves for bringing back this show in 2005 after it died out for those few years. I'm more of a fan of Tom Baker, David Tennant, or Peter Capauldi myself but I do like Christopher Eccleston's take

My favorite doctor is the eleventh I love how fun and funny he can be, like a cosmic five year old. The actor is also great, Matt Smith is no different. Also, my friend ships me with 11 specifically.

Believe me, I've watched Series 11 to 13 (including the Specials of course), and even if they are not my favorite seasons of the NuWho era, I still think Jodie played the Doctor nicely! And please, just accept other people's opinions. We all have a different way to rank the Doctors.

I will be honest. First I found this vid months ago on tumblr. I started Doctor who by that time, but i was at 10th, so i didn't even know what is Matt's 11th like. But i was so thrilled i was curious, so i listened this for the first time. I heard this before i've heard the original. And i am so so grateful. I already fell in love with 11th's theme, so i was really curious about 11th too, and maybe it wasn't even that heartbreaking saying goodbye from Tennant. That's of course a lie, but i still listen this, both version, and i just wanted to thank you. Btw. I am super excited for 13th. I already know i will love her with all my heart.

I love this, I came here because of Pinterest, 11 is my fave, because he's the first doctor I actually payed attention to, although the first doctor who episode I ever saw was with ten, I thought he was really bossy and not funny, but I was 7, I loved doctor who because it was bad ass and scary at the same time, then I found 11 who gave me a whole new perspective on doctor who, I was born in 2005 so I didn't know who nine was until I looked into doctor who a little more, yeah. But 11 is my fave and this music reminds me so much of him that my throats starts squeeze up with me about to explode from fangirling too hard. Although 9, 10 & 12 come really close.
11 is my first, and therefore will always have a special place in my heart. I love his bubbly child like demeanor and his darkness. How he's sick of his responsibilities. I love 4 too, and 12 is always amusing. But my favorite character will always be the Master/Missy.
Oh man this. I used this as a way to calm myself before going to sleep on a school night, which may sound weird since it's kinda actiony and loud lmao. But it did they trick! My anxiety would drop enough for me to be able to go to sleep. This was around the time I was still figuring out what social anxiety was and finally having a word for why I dreaded every night.

if you ask me the 9th doctor was the best part of the cake; he had all of the doctor personalities mashed into one. he could be tom baker and peter capaldi the next; he could have the sillyness of matt smith and the sadness of david tennant. he was truly the best doctor of them all and deserved more screen time; if he did he could have been the best doctor we've ever seen. i am grateful that he was my first doctor.
When I was young I was thankful my da bought me loads n loads of the original doctor who shortly before they rebooted doctor who for the 9th doctor, just makes the new era more enjoyable somehow
The 9th Doctor isn't a reboot, it's a continuation. They continue stories that started in the classic series, and directly reference old doctors and companions.
Chasing stardust - Same! I think that 9 had the most interesting episodes, with a subtle portrayal of the most iconic concepts (the empty child still gets me). I'm also a huge fan of the wit and introspection 12 brought, certainly forwarding the most progressive seasons so far. Ten and Eleven will always be dear to my heart though, if simply for their enigmatic and at times almost goofy personalities...

If he has records of the early series you should check to see if any of them are the missing episodes. Due to limited space in the 60s some of the early episodes master records were recorded over, but due to fan records some of those episodes have been recovered.
My top five? #1: 13, 9, 12 #2: 6, 7, 8 #3: 2, 11, Ruth #4: 3, War, 5 #5: 4, 1, 10 But I love all of them! They all bring their own awesomeness to the role.
