Imagine if someone had one as a pet, so if someone broke in your house you would have a self defence dinosaur Aussie style
Someone did and they ended up dead
Burglar : "Ooops sorry... I didn't knew you were there... I'm leaving now... Didn't mean to disturb..."
Casoary : "Ooooh not at all, do come in and stay a while... I'm sooo lonely right now... Be my guest... As a distraction... Like an instant belly ripped disturbing dead looter..."

SUDDENLY I WANT A PET CASSOWARY
@@qui-gontimtherandomraptor1072 No, No you do not.
Take him and you got your self a war bird
Yeah, then the dodo will find the recordings
Or he will beat the shit out of them
@@fish8887 I'd like to see a Cassowary try this shit with me. I would slap the shit outta one of these dumb birds before I pick it up and bodyslam it into the ground.
@@the_screaming_cherry3678 baby looks cute but adult rips the cutness in two halfs
@@enzocordovil390 yeah true, I do wanna hold a Cassowary chick though
exceedingly cute as a baby chick, terrifying as an adult 😱
I think they are beautiful. Fearsome but beautiful.
@@highlyopinionated5611 Agreed. They're so colourful, that alone makes them awesome looking
amazing and majestic as an adult :)

Interesting that young cassowaries are taken care of by their fathers, rather than their mothers.
Ostriches are the same way.
certified ratite moment
Emus too
Almost all ratites do this
Their reproductive strategy in general is an inverse of what you'd typically expect. The females have large territories that encompass those of several males, and can mate with several of them, laying the eggs in their nests for them to incubate. When they hatch, the father continues to care for the chicks, patrolling their territory so they can feed and drink.
I probably would be scared shitless if I were that close to a chick since I wouldn't be sure if the father was near by
you pathetic city dwellers are scared of some overgrown chicken. give me stick i will beat the sht out of it!
Me too, I would run and then call animal control cause I’m not going near him (he’s cute tho)
Cassowaries are the bears or boars of Down under. If you value your life, you should stay the fuck away from the babies since mother and father might be able and most certainly willing to disembowel with one Kick.
Like Casual Geographic once said, “If Steve Irwin don’t f*ck with them, what makes you think I would?”
I think if you were that close to it you would know if the dad was nearby because you would be in the seeing the starry gates next.
One of the few rare occasions to pet a cassowary chick without being butchered by his dad !
From what I saw in a documentary about them the female birds sometimes force their partners to abandon their chicks, that can happen if only one out of a brood survives and the mating season is still on. Essentially they ditch the one chick for a chance of a bigger (more successfull) brood on the second try.
Sadly even some humans are like that.
@@SSchithFoo
Humans abandon their surviving newborn if its twin or triplets die? Interesting observation. Thank you for anthropomorphizing and then moralizing wildlife so you can feel like a superior/better person in your thoughts. It’s very insightful
@@Kyle_Schaff I think he was referring to parents abandoning their kids if the "breeding" doesn't work out how they want....which is literally true.
Also he didn't say "humans"
they said "some humans"
reading comprehension...it is important, helps when you condescend to people on the internet.

What an adorable little murder chicken.
This pretty much sums it up! 😂
Love it. Funny as😂
baby velociraptors probably looked cute too 😆
Real velociraptors probably looked cute period, with them not being much bigger then a turkey and all. 😂 🦃
@@highlyopinionated5611 They'd be pint sized then as a baby
They may in fact look like a cute house pet too!
I know for 100% if velociraptors were a thing in this day and age they would absolutely be pets, half of them would be called Yoshi and they'd be referred to as "speed chickens".
That's actually blowing my mind
I'm over here wondering how you go from making these cute little baby bird chirps to having the deepest bird call in the world.
Puberty hits like a truck
@@suppeccnole6787 interesting choice of phrase, since one description I heard mentioned something about a ford with laryngitis or something
We can growl too. Magpies have a lower voice if were talking about singing voice
when he grows up he will be like bruce lee
Fun fact: When it grows up it will be the most dangerous bird! But it does not attack yet because it's not strong enough
@@catscratch4512 Cassowaries can be dangerous, yes. But the whole "murder bird" thing is mostly exaggerated. Cassowaries rarely attack unless provoked and even then only two people have actually been recorded as being killed by a cassowary in nearly a hundred years.
If anything humans (and dogs) are a much greater threat to cassowaries than it is to us.
@@Khenfu_Cake you respawn 3 months later right when I post that comment lol

Rock Lee 😤
the chick doesnt seem scared, probably because not many animals will mess with a cassowary so he doesnt have much to be afraid of
I've never seen a baby Cassowary before; my heart is MELTING 😭
IKR!!! That peeping!
"He wants to be with the tall-legged things"
I thought for a second and it made my heart warm up a little bit for some reason. ❤
Imagine thinking it was just a unique duckling, adopting it and it just KEEPS GROWING! 😂
I had no idea that the Jurassic jungle goose had such cute babies that chirp.
Raise it and you’ve got yourself a bodyguard in a few years
it is so sweet, it makes a tiny squeak like a little stuffed flamingo I used to have as a child. hopefully the chick is still alive and fully grown, frightening tourists on a beach somewhere :)
well they grow up relatively fast in months they achieve full adulthood and at that stage they have literally no predators, not even jaguars dare to try to eat a cassowar so they will be fine
its that precious moment when you dont care about your life because LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS AAAWWW 🥰🥰🥰
The little peeps. Very cute.
Baby Cassowary: Angel
Adult Cassowary: Satan
I would not be strong enough to resist the urge to take him home and raise him as my avian bodyguard
What an adorable little dinosaur
ikr 😍🥰
Poor little baby 💕 thank you for rescuing it! Very cute chick
I'll call him Sunshine
why must the danger nugget be so cute
Tbh, you hope it's abandoned, bc if the parent comes around you aren't going to be having a very good day
What a cute baby... I'm so glad you guys cared to check on him
Insane how small they start out. You would never know looking at it like that what it would grow into if you don't know about the mighty Dino bird.
The biggest dinosaurs hatched from eggs that were only about a foot long.
@@knightofarkronia9968cool
I've never seen a baby one before!! It's so fukin CUTE!!!
Aww, what an absolutely cute and totally innocent chick. Sure hope it doesn't grow up to become one of the deadliest and most dangerous birds to ever live.
Awwww it's so adorable and not deadly yet! To think they start off sounding like a normal baby chick only to grow up to sound like a chainsaw.
First i was confused why an cassowary chick was abandoned,
them i ask myself 0:06 WHAT ARE THOSE?!?!
If you raise him, and buy a suit of armor, _you can cosplay as a knight from Joust_
Who would've thought something so small and adorable can grow up to be one helluva challenge to get rid of during a war.
I sat for a good solid minute not fully remembering what a cassowary was until it finally clicked. So funny that this little dude will grow to become an absolute unit of a ratite
That’s not a bird, that’s a dinosaur
@Blushing Saikawa birds are birds, dinosaurs are death.
That's an oversized turkey offspring
No it's not.
@Saika Jellymon no they aren't.
@@floridaman318 They are. Look it up, and look up an accurate gallimimus while you're at it. Then look up hoatzin wing claws. You'll soon understand that not only are they dinosaurs by technicality, but that it isn't even just technical either because they also look very much like a regular dinosaur would.
Also, for bonus points, look up yi qi to see an example of a theropod with a short tail.
Birds are dinosaurs scientifically, and superficially too. Anyone who knows what a dinosaur looked like will be able to figure out birds are dinosaurs without even needing to look it up.
🐥 says,”when I grow up, I wanna be a big dinosaur.” Two years later,it’s dream comes true.😊
The murder chicken is precious now, but wait until he grows up.
I'm incredibly impressed by your self-control to not immediately pet it.
Me: (takes it home) your my child now

Looks like a good gnome warbird mount candidate.
He's adorable!
Hard to believe that peeping little floof will grow up to be a jurassic murderbird
He would be my new pet!!!
Abandoned? Stateside, if you get a bear cub walking up to you by itself, it’s not really by itself. It’s mother is just a bit behind.
If the chick looks healthy, it’s probably not abandoned. It’s parent is probably just a bit behind.
Run.
Or it was recently abandoned
@@catpoke9557 that’s what the cassowaries want you to think.
@@Party_Almsivi Usually cassowaries abandon single chicks and try again for another batch (if all the chicks didn’t survive save for one)
The fact that adult cassowaries are vicious dinosaurs that will fuck you up aside, I can’t go over this adorable little guy and his cute little peeps. He just wants his parents back. A baby is a baby. 🥺
Help the little guy
i know this video is five years old but i do genuinely hope things worked out for the lil fella
Precious little baby ❤️❤️❤️
Those are the adorable eyes of a killer.
It looks so innocent now, then adquieres the personality of a chainsaw.
Imagine finding this little guy not knowing what it is thinking aw cute I'll take him home only to realize you've effectively invited a velocitapror into your home.
Would be pretty hard to pass up the opportunity to raise it as your best friend and just rule the forest together.
I wanna protect him~ 🐥
Its like we found a shiny Torchic IRL
Even Evil Raptor birds are cute as babies
He sees these tall things walking around on two legs and he thinks you're his dad.
Aw, such a cute thing that will grow up to be a deadly monster
Cute little squeaks, also PERSONAL PROTECTIVE CASWARY
Disney princess moment is definitely different in Australia.
Wow they are adorable as chicks. That cheeping is so adorable. NOW! But LATER they are going to be ABSOLUTE units.
He's so cute!
When he grows up he would be a good defence dinosaur.❤😂👌👌
Closest thing you’ll ever get to a pet raptor.
This feels like the sceen in Jurassic Park, where Alan Grant is holding a newly hatched Raptor.
This closest thing we can get to Chris Pratt and the baby velociraptor from Jurassic World, isn't it?
Take it in, you habe a once in a Lifetime chance of taming your very own Raptor.
Would love an update on the situation
Both human beings "Nice little one but papa Casso will come back and make his deadly point that he is not very happy... Please get lost in the forest... We'll die another day..."
Baby casso "Nah, I'll stay a while so to see my dad reap you apart... He needs exercices to stay fit..."
I love the white stripes and his orange head. 😋
Imagine taking in this cute little chick not knowing what it will grow into.
Poor little cassowary.
What a sweet little murder birb.
Finally, a pet mighty enough to rival Florida Man's pet Gator.

All dinosaurs probably started out cute and cuddly looking like this.
Interesting that it has the same feather pattern of baby emus.

That thing grows into a casowary? I thought they would be bigger as chicks...how much do they eat each day?
I have never seen a baby casuary, He's so cute. But I never forget when he grows yo he Will be a killer machine
hard to believe they grow up into monsters
I would probably adopt him/her and he/she could become one of the few tamed ones.
Father runs out the bushes
"You are already dead"
Is there an update?
He's like Tweety bird when he drinks the dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde potion in that bugs bunny cartoon. I hope these people dont have a cat like Sylvester that they scare the begeezes out of😂
What do you do in this scenario, once you exhaust all options, given the importance of this bird? Try to home it at a specialized facility?
A living descendant of velociraptors.
It might kill me one day, but its SOOOO CUTE!!!!
It's funny that they peep just like any other chick, give it to a silky and watch it grow 8 times bigger than its mom
