- Summary of costs and our journey leaving the Schengen zone, it was difficult to say the least! From Spain through France, Italy, Slovenia and finally Croatia, many issues and many tears, but moments of beauty and laughs along the way too.

GUYS!! We were SO glad you made it safely to Croatia. Our hearts broke for you with the problems happening so close to you reaching Croatia. We’re so impressed with how you both managed such a stressful situation. Schengen visa deadlines, shitty border control assholes!, a van with some undiagnosed issues. You’re both amazing for dealing with it the way you did - even if it felt upsetting and stressful you got your heads down and made it! Now we can’t wait to see what new adventures you get up to 🤩 xx

Yeah we are gonna get the other one fitted this week. It still had a good 6mm left on it, but as you say might as well do both for even braking. We definitely learnt a lot that day in Italy, never thought we would have to do something like that ourselves lol, but a good learning curve

Yeah everyone we've spoken too said their border was unmanned and we purposefully went the tiniest mountain road we could assuming no-one would be there haha, just unlucky I suppose, but the guys were super lovely so happy to oblige :) we found out just before we got to Croatia there are super strict on wildcampjng lol, so fingers crossed no big issues with that, would be just our luck haha. It takes up tp 16hrs to cross Texas by itself and I’ve done without stopping 😮 rough trip but the scenery changes so it’s interesting

That is exactly what would have to happen lol. We wanted to have one day left for an emergency blast back through, but alas that did not happen. So fingers crossed no emergencies before December lol!
