Thanks for watching everyone! How flipping heartbreaking was that wee wombat! Hope you all have a great week and we really appreciate you watching and supporting us
That wombat had likely been hit by a car. The car will be lucky to have survived it. They are like walking boulders. Years ago driving across the Snowy Mountains in winter, the fog was like soup so we had to drive really slow. Out of the most came the most giant pure white wombat! We stopped. It came right up to the car, rested it's head on the bonnet and just looked at us for what seemed ages. Then shuffled off again into the mist. It's head was almost as broad as the bonnet. Must have been 4ft at the shoulder. It was either a giant wombat or a small diprotrodon. Like the elder spirit of the mountain or something. One of the most amazing experiences of my life! I LOVE wombats!
1500 days of van life! that really is something to beat!, I'm a 66yo Aussie just about to retire and do something similar but on a much more modest scale. The insights from watching some of your episodes is really valuable! Thanks again guys! Happy Travels!
Oh it's heartbreaking but the roadkill situation is pretty horrendous as well. I spend a lot of time checking dead wallaby for joey's. Have rescued a couple in my years here. I have a wildlife sanctuary and rescue on speed dial. There are fantastic carers out there and they really do a great job. 😢
Can I just say, people who watch these videos please tell your friends, this pair of Irish nutters need more subscribers than the 19 thousand they have, Keely laugh alone deserves another 1000 subscribers, help them out on their journeys 👍
Totally agree, they deserve way more views. Though when I found them about a year ago they only had 6K subscribers so their channel is finally gathering momentum and starting to grow exponentially hopefully
Thanks for calling in about the wombat. Mange has been an issue with the wombats here. There is a program where they have been putting a medicated flap at the entrance of wombat burrows to treat them as they go into their burrows but as you can imagine it's impossible to find them all to treat them. People like yourselves taking the time to care makes all the difference ❤
Thanks so much, so interesting to hear they try to treat them in the burrows! Really hope he got found and treated ❤️🙏 he seemed so timid like he knew we wanted to help
I just adore you two, your beautiful kind hearts melt me. Thank you for taking care of the wombat, the poor wee thing. Keely, you made me laugh with your 'Shorts up you arse' comment, hysterical😅 You both did so well on that hike and were well rewarded at the end of it with your sandwiches and swim. Tasmania through your eyes is stunning. ❤
Thanks so much Wendee ❤️❤️ and such a beautiful to think seeing Tasmania through our eyes is a beautiful lens to see the world. That made my heart happy , we are happy to bring you along on our adventures ❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing your video. I never knew that I needed to visit Tasmania but now I know!!!! It’s so beautiful and you two make me laugh so hard. Love you both! Safe travels!
Philly and Keely the beaches and scenery is so fabulous there. You did great with the 1000 steps but it was worth. Would love to go to Tasmania sometime
Another beautiful episode! And you are both so caring. Not everyone would take the time to try to help the injured wombat. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Our world is beautiful.
Good for you making sure the wombat was taken care of. Hopefully he's on the mend. You both have big hearts . Enjoyed every minute of the video. Loving the journey 😊💚☘️
That beach ohhhh my sooooo blue!!!! that poor wombat, not gonna lie I cried. Keeley how are you not the size of a house 😂 the way you love ya food, I feel like I gain 5lbs just watching u talk about food 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 I do love food alot haha! I spend most of my day thinking about my next meal haha. But we don't eat loads throughout the day, we aren't big snackers.
I hope you get a chance to visit S.E Tasmania as there is some nice places to visit. I have lived here all my life and still find places that blow me away. Stay safe
@@phillyandkeely well hopefully you can come back one day, the spirit is very expensive as you would be aware, I have a motorhome so I know your pain. Thanks for caring about the wildlife. I am lucky as I have Devils living on my property, their amazing animal and eat every part of a dead animal and don’t have a very long life span. The TAS Government should give you a Park pass as you have been such wonderful ambassadors for our state.
Welll done with all those thousand steps down to the beach and up again. My legs were screaming in sympathy pain with you Keeley 😅 I loved the “apple-cave”. Thanks Philly for motivating Keely and constantly cheering her on. I’m so glad you both got to swim even if it was super-salty and that great wave crashed down on you. Hopefully nothing more than sand damage to you both.
Absolutely love Freycinet the Hazards are fantastic but we only go in the colder winter months. Having said that we have gone from sunburn one day(in Freycinet) to frostbite and blizzard the next day a few hours drive away (in Derwent Bridge). Thats Tasmania for you, as an ex-pat Irishgal, from County Wicklow, I am a happy Tasmanian now. Love your humour and hope you are safe and well as you journey on. Slan abhaile to you.
Oh lovely, Wicklow is such a beautiful part of Ireland!! Tasmania reminds us of Ireland and Scotland only with insane wildlife 😂😂 honestly Australia is the most wild country we've ever experienced it's incredible

Can't believe you didn't buy a Rocket Stove while you were down here. A RS is a great backup if you run out of gas. Only needs a few twigs to get going, or dried grass, any part of the Ozzie bush that burns (about 100% of it!) to boil that Billy of water for your Coffee!. I think the EMU is the best, and it's Australian made. Would have gotten you out of that cold lunch and no-coffee situation real quick!
Great vlog guys. You make me laugh sooo much. Poor wombat, it's so sad. The ⛱️ beach looked fantastic. The water is a fabulous colour. Glad you managed to get gas. Thank you for taking us along with your adventures followed you all the way. Take care and stay safe. ATB x
Love watching you guys every Sunday!! On your east vs. west coast conversation - Canada’s east and west coasts are beautiful and popular tourist destinations. Both coasts are popular , and while they are very different, each is beautiful. Come visit😊
Have you ever considered buying some Nordic Walking sticks?...they are brilliant for assisting up hill. They give you and extra boost on every step. I was hesitant at first but I'm completely sold. I got mine because I have dizziness and they stabilize me but what a bonus. Thank you, thank you, thank you for assisting the poor little wombat. Mange is such an insidious disease and the little guys are desperate for help.
I've been recommended walking sticks by a few people, I fear they will give away the fact that I'm not really 26 🤣🤣 I think they defo would help though, maybe I will look into getting a pair when we are back exploring in the UK

Another fab video guys. Thank you and well done for looking out for the wee, poorly wombat. Hope he's okay. Enjoy your remaining time in gorgeous Tasmania! It really is stunningly beautiful. XX
If you do return here Wilson’s Prom in Victoria has an abundance of wombats. Thanks for a great Australia series guys I thoroughly enjoyed and binged it. Will now go back in time and watch all your videos from other series. You’ll be hearing from me again 😂😂😂
This was an absolutely epic episode. I love your relatable attitude of admitting when things are tough. Your excitement over the views and animals draws me in. Another great episode!
Guys did you know Tasmania was beautiful...ahhh coffee, the fuel of creativity...glad you were able to get coffee, I'm the same, a grump without coffee...sad so sad looking wombat, hope it was rescued. Philiy it's your fault the bad weather was approaching...as confucious said...Man who messes with big cucumber 🥒 makes the rain come on... Take care folks and best wishes.
Thank you so much for calling wildlife rescue as it's so important to let someone know if there is an animal in need of medical assistance. Too many people just drive on & don't report so what you did just shows how much you care. Really appreciate it guys on behalf of all our wildlife here in Australia! ❤❤❤
@@phillyandkeely Absolutely! Thanks for highlighting this incident and what people can do to help. It makes all the difference just for that one little creature. ❤ Hopefully he's been located & treated🐨
@@phillyandkeely You absolutely must visit Western Australia. Coming from someone who lives in Tasmania, The Kimberley (Northern WA) is a whole different kind of beautiful, an amazing contrast to the green of Tassie but every bit as breathtaking.
Thanks again for taking us along. The real van life. I'm so glad you called on the wee wombat! We don't know if it helps or not.. till we do. (Do you know of the story about the girl picking up the starfish on the beach? Some will say "you can't save them all" but she says "I saved this one".) Good on you for being special humans. .. and I gotta say - I have never thought about it before, but yes... East coasts vs West coasts...I've have seen that as well! Happy adventures to you both. Thanks for more smiles!
Loved this week's video.......beautiful beaches. Philly with the cucumber....we were just waiting for it to break 😂 Kudos for taking the time to report the sickly wombat ❤❤. Have a great week! 🇨🇦
Hi guys ❤ Thanks for taking me back to Tassie as it's one of my favourite places. The East West thing I'm not sure about as Western Australia is also stunning, however East Gippsland in Victoria is kinda like Tassie as in you are close to Mountains, sea, caves and fantastic 4wd tracks.
I think Victoria is so underrated, it's such a beautiful state, the wildlife there is incredible! I will forever remember it giving me wild mummy and baby koalas ❤️❤️ it will always have a special place in my heart now
Another great video guys! I know this is not very helpful advice now… but from Wineglass Bay beach you could have walked across to Hazards Beach on the other side of the peninsula via a very flat trail then followed the Hazards Beach trail along the coastline back to the car park. It’s further in distance but so much easier because you don’t have to climb back up all those steps! Plus it’s not as popular a route so you have the trail mostly to yourselves.
I like when people give us advice, even if it's too late for us, hopefully other people in the comments will learn from it or I can advise anyone that asks us about stuff on the future ❤️❤️
You two are brilliant at showing what is possible if you just make the effort to break out of this conforming world and head out on a life full of adventure. You really are an inspiration and I hope you find a way to channel your magic to help other young people to believe they too can have a life full of discovery. Thank you for another super video. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
Tasmania seems to get better by the week. If only I was 40 years younger I would be there, but thanks to you guys I get to see this beautiful place. (Without the mosquitoes 😂) take care. 👍🐸
Thanks for taking the time to report the wounded Wombat. Hopefully someone found it and saved it. As for the East/West of country…. Canada is a pretty wide country and Tourist usually come to visit either one or the other. I have to admit I never visited the West, but I was told that both sides of the country are touristy and worth the trip (it’s the “middle” of the country that is “flat”).
You guys are ace, I've just been watching your Scotland and Japan trips whilst waiting for new videos from this trip. It's so uplifting to see you guys have a good time on the road together, thank you for doing what you do
I don't always comment but i do like and share your fantastic videos with family and friends.. you both never fail to entertain us all here in n.ireland your true embaristers for our wee country thanks p&k.☘️👍👍😊
Yes, we're spoilt for choice with beautiful beaches all around Tassie! Us locals definitely take them for granted. My family all came from Scotland in the 70s and when they got here they promptly wrote home telling the rest of the family to come, that its paradise! Still love Scotland too though, best of both worlds 💚😊💙 Glad you're loving our lil island, guys! 🫶
Thankyou, we love Scotland too, it's our next destination after Australia, best part of the UK for sure! But yes those Tassie beaches are out of this world
You are both amazing…we love watching your ‘crazy adventures’ You must visit West Australia. It is the best. We have travelled Australia and especially the Southern part of WA is extremely beautiful. The most stunning beaches, lakes and dams you can swim in!😊😊😎😎
We would LOVE to come explore WA ❤️❤️ we have only been to Perth region in the past and we loved it, it's meant to be so wild in WA, might need a 4wd next time haha
Tasmania looks amazing . When you get back to uk visit Isle of Barra and the Uists for amazing white sand beaches and turquoise blue sea , not gonna lie , can’t guarantee the sun though ☀️☔️🥶😊You two are wonderful people reporting the Wombat , hope he / she is ok and sure if the wildlife rangers can help they will 👍Loved comment about room for 3 on the big seat on walk , me , you and our sandwiches 🥪 🤣🤣. Great filming as always , beautiful shots from Tasmania 😊xx
Thanks so much Harris! We can't wait to come see those beautiful torquoise waters, dreaming of Scotland when we are hitting the road again in Martha! All recommendations welcomed!
I have a little wood stove in case I run out of gas. It’s tiny, folds up to about 5cm thick and about 12cm tall. It’s great to just boil a kettle with twigs. Coffee is a must so I always have backup 😂
Just a thought . Have you considered buying a single burner gas camping stove that runs on gas cannisters/cans ? Their available @ Bunnings , Anaconda , BCF and other camping stores. The stoves are about $20 and the gas cannisters/cans are about $10 for 4 cans . I use one in my m/home instead of my gas stove and one can lasts me about 4 days. I boil the kettle twice in the morning , breakfast cuppa and a 10am coffee and cake and I also cook dinner with it in the evening. They are a good back up if and when you run out of gas. 👍 Oh , and by the way, be careful you two , you might end up migrating to Tassie permanently ! 😊😊 Safe travels you two . 👍
Thanks so much Mark, and defo a great recommendation about the backup stove!! We have one in our van Martha back in the UK but defo should have got one for Oz too
Hiya kiddos!! Tasmania is SO BEAUTIFUL! That beach was stunning! Lots of extra steps to get down there and back but well worth it! Keely you say you aren’t in shape but you killed those stairs! I’m always so proud of you for trying and not giving up. And Philly is a great support system for you! You both seem to mesh so well together. Keely I agree… I love good a sandwich! And hummus in a sandwich is magical! Game changer! What was that with the cucumber? 😊 Ok… I guess by now you are gone from Tasmania. It must have been hard to leave behind a place that is so beautiful. Take care of yourselves wherever you are… best wishes for safe travels from Southern California 🌴(Oh and Dave… it’s been over FOUR years! 😂)
You guys r just amazing…that poor wee wombat tho..what a shame..well done on the hike..views were awesome..some of the Scottish beaches look just like those ones..achmelvich, clachtoll and luskintyre on lewis and Harris …just a weee bit colder I guess lol..stay safe x
Another great video guys! Apart for the exhausting hike and the beautiful beach you found, it was amazing to see Keely's cooking skills at work. That meal with the avocado, beans, kale etc looks amazing. And the sandwiches look straight out of Subway! You're lucky Phil to have a gourmet chef along for the ride 😅 When I caught a bus from Perth to Melbourne back in the 80s, we stopped at road houses for greasy unhealthy food and it took me some time when I got home for my bowels to start working again! 😲 Keep having fun guys. I wonder where you're off to next ? 🤔😊😆
Fun fact I worked in subway for years, maybe it's where I got all my skills, and when we first lived in Melbourne 10 years ago we both worked in subway together haha!
Also , in case you don't know , most RV traveler's who are waiting to catch the ferry ⛴️ back to the big island (mainland) , stay overnight at an excellent free camp at a little town called FORTH which is a short drive to the DEVONPORT FERRY TERMINAL the next day . It's on an AUSSIE RULES FOOTBALL GROUND with Toilets, water and electric BBQ's , fuel station with shop , groceries and takeaway food and a liquor store if you're that way inclined. Don't know if they sell LPG for your campervan. Also has a pub across the bridge with a bakery and it might even sell vegan pies ?
Well that sounds incredible! Wish I had seen this message in time! But we did find a beautiful beach park up not too far away which was a lovely last night in Tasmania ❤️
Oh I so wanted you to see a wombat, such a shame it was so unwell….on the bright side it couldn’t have been found by more caring humans than you both. I think you’re right Keely, the poor thing knew you meant it no harm 💚……and thankfully Philly didn’t wave his cucumber at it! 🫣😅xx
Well done on the hike, that beach was so worth it. Great job on getting help for the wombat, they sounded very helpful on the phone, unlike the rspca over here. ❤x

Scrambled tofu and kale, shit tonnes of garlic and seasoning. Then beans and kale and avocado on toast. All delicious 😋😋
Another fab video guys. Thank you and well done for looking out for the wee, poorly wombat. Hope he's okay. Enjoy your remaining time in gorgeous Tasmania! It really is stunningly beautiful. XX
Thanks so much Lou Lou ❤️❤️such a special place!
If you do return here Wilson’s Prom in Victoria has an abundance of wombats. Thanks for a great Australia series guys I thoroughly enjoyed and binged it. Will now go back in time and watch all your videos from other series. You’ll be hearing from me again 😂😂😂
Awww thanks so much ❤️❤️ yesss will defo have to do Wilson's prom
This was an absolutely epic episode. I love your relatable attitude of admitting when things are tough. Your excitement over the views and animals draws me in. Another great episode!
Thanks so much Tammy ❤️❤️
Oh poor Keely, my face goes just like yours 😂, I felt every step with you on those 1000 steps, but well done!!!
Thankyou!
😂😂😂 no more messing with cucumber lmao
Thank you so much for calling wildlife rescue as it's so important to let someone know if there is an animal in need of medical assistance. Too many people just drive on & don't report so what you did just shows how much you care. Really appreciate it guys on behalf of all our wildlife here in Australia! ❤❤❤
Awww thanks so much 🥰🥰🥰 hopefully now more people will realise you can call, not just for accidental injuries, for disease too.
@@phillyandkeely Absolutely! Thanks for highlighting this incident and what people can do to help. It makes all the difference just for that one little creature. ❤ Hopefully he's been located & treated🐨
If your ever back in Australia you need to visit Western Australia
Yesss we would love to
@@phillyandkeely
You absolutely must visit Western Australia. Coming from someone who lives in Tasmania, The Kimberley (Northern WA) is a whole different kind of beautiful, an amazing contrast to the green of Tassie but every bit as breathtaking.
@@Mr.Agateophile. we would love to ❤️
Love the episode of wombat of Aussie vanlife adventure
Thanks Charlene 🥰
Thanks again for taking us along. The real van life. I'm so glad you called on the wee wombat! We don't know if it helps or not.. till we do. (Do you know of the story about the girl picking up the starfish on the beach? Some will say "you can't save them all" but she says "I saved this one".) Good on you for being special humans. .. and I gotta say - I have never thought about it before, but yes... East coasts vs West coasts...I've have seen that as well! Happy adventures to you both. Thanks for more smiles!
Thanks so much Kathi ❤️that's a cute story about the starfishes
Guys, you surprised me! My favorite people. Coffee is a good thing. OK gotta pay attention . Love you guys. Be❤ safe
Thanks so much Sandra
Such a great video and all the long walks and sunshine are making you both look so fit
Can’t wait for your next video
Thanks so much William 🥰🥰
You pronounce Freycinet National Park ..... Fray Sin Ey .. found your videos just yesterday, glad you had fun in Tassie!.
Thankyou ❤️❤️ I knew the name looked posh haha, that's a very fancy pronunciation, don't think our Northern Irish brains would have ever realised that
@@phillyandkeely It's named after French navigator Louis de Freycinet.
Love your Tassie adventures, l know you have left Australia by now, it was such a delight my Aussies forever
Thanks so much Donna 🥰🥰
Catching up today missed you 2 ❤ xxx
Missed your comments ❤️❤️ hope you are well

Loved this week's video.......beautiful beaches. Philly with the cucumber....we were just waiting for it to break 😂 Kudos for taking the time to report the sickly wombat ❤❤. Have a great week! 🇨🇦
That flipping cucumber 🤣🤣🤣
Great vlog Glen.
Thanks Glen ❤️
Loved this video, Jacqueline and Paul from Newry take care
Thanks guys, hope you are enjoying the sunshine this week in Newry!
You two are brilliant at showing what is possible if you just make the effort to break out of this conforming world and head out on a life full of adventure. You really are an inspiration and I hope you find a way to channel your magic to help other young people to believe they too can have a life full of discovery. Thank you for another super video. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
This is sooooo lovely and sweet and has absolutely made our day. Thankyou for your kind words, we really appreciate it. Thanks Geoff ❤️❤️
Hi Matt absolutely love the cave videos, love the long horns but I just love everything you do. Lots of Love and prayers 😊🏝🦋💖🦮🙏🏻

😂😂 thanks so much Sally 🥰🥰🥪🥪 always room for sandwiches haha
Tasmania seems to get better by the week. If only I was 40 years younger I would be there, but thanks to you guys I get to see this beautiful place. (Without the mosquitoes 😂) take care. 👍🐸
Glad we got to bring you along with us 🥰🥰
You guys need to do a movie length episode.
I could watch you’s all day 💕👍🏽
Awww thanks so much 🥰🥰
Hi guys! Sunrises. The early sun is the growing sun so plant your garden on this side.
That's so interesting!! We will defo do this on our future land!
Oh hope wombat is ok thankyou for reporting this hope they find and help him xx wineglass bay beautiful
Thankyou, hope he got help. Yeah wineglass bay was stunning!
Is flat a slang term for awesome, or literally flat cuz no mountains? We really want to come explore Canada soooon ❤️ 2025 I reckon maybe
@@phillyandkeely flat because the land literally has no mountains 🏔️😉
You guys are ace, I've just been watching your Scotland and Japan trips whilst waiting for new videos from this trip. It's so uplifting to see you guys have a good time on the road together, thank you for doing what you do
Thanks so much Tim, that means alot, and we are so grateful you have been watching our other series, Scotland and Japan are both epic!
I don't always comment but i do like and share your fantastic videos with family and friends.. you both never fail to entertain us all here in n.ireland your true embaristers for our wee country thanks p&k.☘️👍👍😊
Aww thanks so much, we really appreciate that 🥰🥰
Yes, we're spoilt for choice with beautiful beaches all around Tassie!
But yes those Tassie beaches are out of this world
Oh great, more Scotland videos! Will be tuning in for sure. Safe travels back home again ❤️
Well your just going to have to come back one day and do the west coast.
Definitely 🥰🥰🥰
You are both amazing…we love watching your ‘crazy adventures’
You must visit West Australia.
The beaches are so beautiful. Great video guys
Thanks Mel
Yeah we defo need to get a back up!!
😂😂😂 yeah over four years which is nuts!! And thanks my love sooooo beautiful, definitely hard to leave
Great video as usual 😊
Thanks Christine ❤️❤️
Another great video. Love you guys!
Thanks so much 🥰🥰
Put the cucumber down 😂
A great watch as usual, poor wombat ❤️
😂😂🥒🥒 thanks Richie 🥰🥰
You guys r just amazing…that poor wee wombat tho..what a shame..well done on the hike..views were awesome..some of the Scottish beaches look just like those ones..achmelvich, clachtoll and luskintyre on lewis and Harris …just a weee bit colder I guess lol..stay safe x
Thanks Debbie, yeah so excited to get back to Scottish beaches soon!
Perfect timing, I need your happiness Wright now 😊
Aww thanks so much Brian, sending you lots of love and light, hope you have a great week ahead of you!
Oh the poor wombat ! Other than that, another fabulous video, you two are delight to watch.❤
Thanks so much June ❤️
🫣😅xx
😂😂😂 him and that cucumber haha! Yeah the wombat melted my wee heart
hope the little guy is ok, looked more like a wound than mange, so sad when you cant help an animal yourself
Well done on the hike, that beach was so worth it. Great job on getting help for the wombat, they sounded very helpful on the phone, unlike the rspca over here. ❤x
Yeah they were super friendly ❤️🙏🤞 he got found
@@phillyandkeely That's great news 🙂
