How to Become Gluten Intolerant (Funny) - Ultra Spiritual Life
I'm very disappointed that you didn't ask for gluten free water. I always do.
I got dragged to a vegetarian restaurant by a friend once and someone did ask for gluten free fruit juice
You'd be surprised how dirty glasses are in a restaurant - I honestly wouldn't trust drinking anything out of them if you're at an Italian restaurant.

Do they use a gluten free air conditioner too?
You should also avoid fluoride and always ask for moisture free water.
You laugh but I remember seeing a bottle of sparkling water that read “GMO FREE” on the label
I once ate gluten free bread with a butter alternative at a friends house and thought: This is what boredom tastes like.
as a coeliac, id rather eat nothing than eat gluten free bread
Love good bread and REAL butter
@@harryholden795 Same. I've found delicious GF alternatives to a lot of things, but "flour" tortillas and bread are still a bit out of reach.
Yes ...im certain that you are right. I'm a Celiac all my life since I was diagnosed decades ago .I don't broadcast it but it's expensive, inconvenient and causes a spectrum of health problems. Can't understand the rationale of fake celiac and " intolerant " people. I'd gladly swap with them ...any day .
Try cauliflower pizza crust 😭😭😭🤢🤮
I worked with someone who actually was gluten intolerant. At the beginning of this whole fad, I asked her what she thought about it. She said it was good, because she had more options at the grocery store, but bad because her condition had become a joke to many people. She was a lovely person and I hope she's living her best life.
Yeah, that would be difficult.
For the longest time I figured it was just a marketing ploy and that it was just an annoying scream for attention and then I had dietary issues forcing me into a gluten free lifestyle. It was unexpectedly a real thing. & it is nice to have lots of options that don't hurt to eat
I agree. We used to fill suitcases full of rice crackers to go back from the UK to Africa so my poor mother could eat something apart from gauri. And know I live in Canada with all the options available. I am glad my condition became a Fad. much love
It is a joke! This person would die almost immediately if out in the wild

I have an ex-friend who pretends to be living a healthy life, eating mostly fish and loves vegetables whenever we are together but her body and other people who know her say otherwise. She said she does not eat a lot but her size and weight are just unbelievable.
"based on medical evidence that's yet to be discovered," this is pure gold 🤣🤣
that phrase killed me, lol

@@annabellabells6647 You did not get the video at all... or you truly are whom this video is joking about; in that case you wouldn't get it.
The worst part is, thanks to so many people claiming intolerance because it's trendy, people with Celiac disease who legitimately can't eat gluten constantly have to deal with skepticism and cynicism about their condition.
I think it balances itself out, due to crazy wannabe gluten intolerant morons, there's a lot more choices in gluten-free products out there for people with that condition legitimately. I'm pretty sure people who are actually gluten intolerant don't act like arrogant idiots like the video is mocking.
yakurimoe Comes with a down side. Now that it is no longer a small niche market, if something tastes like cardboard, the people who legit have no other choice but to eat it, can't do anything about it, as they are the small market.
groot mcgroot Are you sure it's explicitly wheat? Is it possible that you felt better because you were paying more attention to your diet and just generally eating healthier?
Try this: go back to your old diet and follow it exactly but remove all wheat products. Then try whatever diet you're currently following but include wheat. See what changes you notice.
All that aside, though, the placebo effect (and it's opposite, the nocebo effect) are powerful things. If you think something's going to make you feel better, there is a very good chance that it will.
groot mcgroot My point is, until you isolate wheat in particular, you can't say that eliminating it was the reason you felt better.
Exactly, or, like me, won't get tested. I was pissed to find out I actually DO have Gluten issues. I thought it was a fad for the most part because of the people being "trendy".
As an ex-restaurant worker, this is the reason I can no longer work in a restaurant 😂😂
There's no people phonier than the 'gluten free' and 'vegan'. Every week we were throwing away pounds of gluten free bread and fancy baby vegetables at the hotel 😂
Yes he right when ppl on there own ppl don't have these problems but the more ppl there are the more extreme they go. Lol.
@@rogerjones332 Blanket statements are tricky.
Oh, come on! Instead of denying someone their moral high ground, you should just admit how ill-equipped you're to handle your own moral shortcomings. I feel sorry for you. Good luck continuing to run away from an uncomfortable truth..
@@Ot-ej5gi That might be harsh. I suspect the OP was talking about people who dramatize their conditions. I have a severe cinnamon allergy. I avoid picking food that might have it, but if I really want an item, I ask if the food has cinnamon, and order something else if it does. I have NEVER had a server irritated with me for that. I don't ask a restaurant to change their french toast batter for me. I just don't order french toast. (still wondering.. how is gluten a moral high ground? ... "God save the Gluten!" Just practicing in case I join your cult.)
As an actual coeliac I'd like to thank absolutely every weirdo that has claimed to be gluten free, in the past decade its made such a difference to the information and understanding of people with coeliac and the production of decent food to capture that market has helped me no end. The bread alone used to be so so dry and taste rank, sincerely thank you.
I'm glad it made better options for those who need it, but most of those claiming this are liars and hypochondriacs. They are beyond annoying.
I so agree!!! The gluten free bread back then used to be absolutely disgusting!
@@lb5759 A huge problem is people denying others don't have an issue and believing they're all liars or hypochondriacs. Really? People know their own bodies, and if they discover that they have issues, then let them be. Gluten intolerance (not just celiac) is more common than you think and more research reveals this.
Haha I never thought of it that way!
I'm still frustrated. The bread is hyper expensive while the tortillas might as well be tortilla chips. Even the coconut flour ones can't bend very much before cracking. Better than nothing though.
One thing was funny though... last day of February when hordes descended on grocers nationwide, there, by themselves on shelf section upon shelf section of Sahara emptiness.... gluten-free products. 😆 I was like "Look, ma! Manna from heaven!"

the video is not making fun of people who ARE actually gluten intolerant but of those who think its hip to be because it makes you appear more sensitive and artsy
AndreVD 😂😂😂😂
It's sad you had to break this already simple video down to the 3rd grade.
This would be hilarious if gluten intolerance was trendy. People only think it is because it got its start being part of a fad diet. Gluten is in so much food that even hipsters are saying “screw that!”
AndreVD ...Yup! My sister in law has genuine Celiac disease. She was pissed she couldn't eat bakery items anymore. She was so sick all the time, but now like a new woman. It's really kind of like an allergy.
People who suffer from celiac disease are the only ones I tolerate not eating gluten. All others can eat whatever they want, be wise or unwise when pigging out, 😂
I love how he quickly differentiated between people who are actually intolerant vs. those who do it to follow a trend.
Being gluten intolerant has helped me develop a new home defense system. I am stocking up on my wifes gluten free biscuits. I figure i can either throw them at the enemy, or feed them to them (without water). Either way, they will be severely incapacitated.

I'm not sure about gluten-free bread (haven't tried it), but there is a bakery in our area that makes gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that are as light as meringue and melt in your mouth. I also knew some people that made an angel food cake with just cashews, egg-whites, and sorbitol sugar...it was incredibly like the real thing: light and fluffy.

Being intolerant to gluten is simply racist like Trump! My fridge is a safe space for foods that have packaging identifying as containing gluten.

@@deenial218 Some people like myself also stop tolerating gluten over time. My symptoms started about 1.5 years after beginning to cut out artificial chemicals and unhealthy foods; they were weird and uncomfortable but I narrowed it right down to wheat (might not be gluten intolerance but a wheat allergy, since barley malt extract doesn't cause issues for me in things like Clif bars) and never got those sickly symptoms again after cutting it out. I'm almost scared to try Rye and Barley (in whole food form) to find out for sure if it's just wheat or if it is indeed gluten that causes it.

It is not likely gluten. It is the glyosphate used to dry wheat is the poison for us! Wheat is drenched with this round up for the drying process. Put pressure on the grain industry to not poision our food. People are not gluten intolerant just poison intolerant. It is the wheat with the added glyosphate that dries out the GMO wheat and non-organic wheat for processing. Glyosphate kills around 70% of the needed stomach flora and causes inflammation in the body especially the gut and brain.

This Video is 7 Years old and i discovered your Videos just a few month ago. Your humor and the quality of your videos is awesome. Greetings from a fan in Germany.
I work in a restaurant as a cook, and we get these people all the time. "I need a meatloaf with no gravy because the gravy has flour and they're allergic." "The meatloaf has breadcrumbs in it." "They said that's fine." That's an actual conversation we had.
I have lost faith in humanity...
Clearly not someone with Celiac. I'm always dumbfounded at people. I actually had someone ask me one time (as I do have Celiac, and they knew I can't eat wheat), "Does flour have wheat in it?" Seriously, people, where do you think it comes from??
lol, I can eat anything I want, as long as I keep good ratios(meat, staple foods). Gluten foods do give me some issues, but not enough for me to bother people with, course my old injuries scream more than the bleh feeling. (pop an advil and keep rolling.)
so glad that rice and corn are staple foods(meat is expensive).
meat keeps me from feeling the bleh feeling.
(think cheap hotdogs for the feeling, and headache if you eat too much).
yes these people have been described thru history as stupid....welcome to earth :)
There is one problem with that: The person you were talking to was delivering a message for "gluten-intolerant" people. It might have just been that the gluten-intolerant people gave up on getting something gluten free, and were able to do so because their issue with it was benign, rather than hold everyone up. This might not have been visible when talking to the person placing the order for everyone, since messengers seldom ever convey the message 100% as it was intended, or felt, as is apparent from the game of telephone or Chinese whispers.
I deal with the same problem trying to avoid chemical additives, GMOs, vegetable oils, corn syrup, refined sugars, and other bad stuff in food. There is just too much to consider, and I very infrequently have my meals the ideal way. Heck, I learned that olive oil adulterated 50% with vegetable oils like cottonseed and safflower can still pass as olive oil without any additional labeling here in America. The problem is that a perfect meal is so maddeningly impossible to consistently and affordably get, that sometimes, after trying hard, you just have to shrug your shoulders and tell yourself "It's better than starving" and eat what is less than ideal to your standards.
Note: This is an example you don't have to read, but to add perspective to this problem:
One time I was part of a camp group, and the meals were provided for everyone with the fee. But they were cheap and crappy. Not only were they very unsatisfying for a hard day out in the heat (The portion sizes were small and most of the time you couldn't even go for seconds), but they were almost entirely refined, processed foods, especially refined carbs and corn syrup, loaded with synthetic additives, vegetable oils, etc. and the produce that was available was never organic, and sometimes came canned, and the condiments to go with them were just as bad. I lost my vigor on those foods compared to before camp despite the exercise, but I had to get greedy in order to not starve, and at one point got so desperate I ate 2 tiny packets of peanut M&Ms to help satisfy my protein needs a little more (Since the meals were mostly refined carbs). It was way, way below standards for me, and my eczema got so unbearable that week it kept me up at night (When before camp it was very well under control, even in the heat). But I had to give up standards to avoid starving. So maybe the gluten-intolerant person just gave up on his standards for a bit so everyone could move on. I know I had to.
"Coagulation of mysterious flours that forms a brick with the density of a blackhole and the dryness of a desert" HAHAHA. Too much !!

that description is spot-on.

I feel bad for the people that are legitimately gluten intolerant. Their food choices are pretty limited and no-one believes that they're actually gluten intolerant or believe it's a thing.
If they have Celiac Disease ( www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/celiac-disease/basics/definition/con-20030410 ) then they can legitimately point to a genetic condition that requires a certain diet. If they don't, then they're the person being parodied in the above video, because there's not a damn thing wrong with them or gluten.

Morgan Nikolai I am shaking my head along with you however... why does the sauce have gluten? Just curious.
Rory Triscuit it's called a roux, the beginning of all amazing sauciness.
Hiro Case To add to that if you aren't making the sauce yourself in restaurant, companies such as Campbell's make their products in facilities that aren't gluten free and often most recipes have some sort of gluten in the product. True celiac sufferers can't take the risk.
Gluten has been proven to be incredibly unhealthy, at least for this last decade.

I dated a Celiac for a while. She got so irritated at the hipsters who didn't eat gluten out of self righteousness.
Yeah, I have a severe celiac disease too and I hate all the hipsters who go and buy the shelves empty of all the food that they don't even need, thus leaving less for us who actually have the disease. Gluten-free foods are special items which have a far more limited supply. For me they are even more limited since I really can't eat dairy products either, milk protein does nasty things to me.
Thankfully not all proteins or you would just die instantly though.
+The Grey Wanderer How does natural selection produce someone who can't eat pretty much anything on the menu in Western civilization?
By giving birth to a species which is retarded enough to commit genetic manipulation of its food sources, so that eventually they all become allergic to everything they eat. But seriously though, you never heard about vegetables, fish, fruits, berries etc? Lots of those on the menu in western civilization, without any gluten nor milk involved. In my case though my disease is a result of mutation, I did not inherit celiac genes.

Why do you have to be a cunt just because people can't/don't want to eat gluten? Mind your own fucking business, assholes.
Madison: I don't think you reacted strongly enough. You need to watch his video "How To Get Offended" then you can do some really impressive outrage.
My dad used to get a magazine called Prevention. According to that book you couldn't eat anything because it would all kill you.
That's why your Mother had you ! it would have kill your Dad !
Your right! Did you know that 100% of people that eat food have or will die!😨
We have something similar in the UK, it's called the Daily Mail. Everything gives you cancer.
Live is an infectious disease with a hundred percent death rate.
Even breathing will kill us someday 🤷♂️
I LOVE IT! I'm sure there are a few people in the world who really are gluten intoleratn, but most are just following a fashion, just like JP says here. Excellent, as most of the time!
I want a laugh button on RUclips videos. I love this guy. This is the third video I've seen from him and now I'm a fan, lol.
😅😂👍🏿
i'm genuinely gluten/lactose intolerant but this video just dragged me through the fucking dirt and i cannot stop laughing I LOVE THIS MAN
i dont believe u
Do a live stream of yourself eating buttermilk eggo waffles.
me too. I have birch pollen allergy, wheat insensitivity as a symptom
nobody cares
I am too....life was good when nobody cared....now it's friggin' hilarious sharing a meal with Gluten Pretenders who insist on sharing "symptoms"....and then spoiling their meal with a detailed report on my bowel habits! Muahahahaha!
my sister Sonya has declared herself gluten free. she went on to tell me how awful gluten is for me and how I should change my lifestyle my response was are you going to quit smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day and stop doing drugs she didn't have a response
Haha that's awesome. I hope she enjoys putting tar and other horrible chemicals into her lungs.
No^
LoLmillennials
LMBO!
Pff.
Hilarious! That headband with flower embellishment is stunning! 😂🤣😍🥰😹
Literally my cousin. You'd think we're getting ready for a funeral when she eats gluten, dairy or meat. But then often you find her munching on biscuits and giggling which later she vomits. It hurts too see your loved one going through it. But this makes me laugh 😂
My sibling was recently diagnosed with Coeliac disease - tbh if that were me I think I’d eat pizza anyway and just try to find a way to cope with the explosive diarrhea and damaged intestinal villi 🤷♀️
My coworker is "gluten intolerant" but she can take enzymes and be totally okay as long as the bread looks super delicious. Otherwise gluten makes her really sick.
Lol.😂
I’m gluten intolerant and i’ll eat stuff sometimes because i’m just really craving it and i do take probiotics to help but after eating i end up with a really bad stomachache and the more I have the worse it is
phantomkate6 she's like some of those people who are sensitive to fragrances. Or people who can't go to church for example because they're afraid of crowds and then you see them in the Mall's restaurant court
Cayla M I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about the gluten intolerance but probiotics don't work like that, so that might be part of the problem
My gluten-intolerant co-worker has a REAL CONDITION!!!!
I hear about it everyday!!!
But when I bring doughnuts to share, it's amazing how fast she's "cured".
As someone with actual gluten intolerance, I don't see why anyone would give up glorious gluten. I wish I could eat wheat without getting really sick ;-;
oath same
Same :( gluten is delicious and I want it all
I want my French bread back
Saaaame :(
Ali ens because being a fake hippy is fake cool for some reason
"I have a headache, I think there was gluten in that" that was me 😂😂
Watching the video a making a list of my friends saying something like that! 🤣🤣🤣 Love your videos bro!
My 7 year old daughter is allergic to wheat (not intolerant, allergic).
If she is exposed to wheat, she gets large red hives all over her body and starts to wheeze.
We can't even cook wheat pasta in our house because the steam makes her wheeze.
We have to carry an EpiPen around with us because of this - it's a dangerous condition.
it REALLY makes me angry when hipsters say that they are 'allergic' to wheat or gluten just because they have chosen not to eat it.
Reading on forums etc, these people who have made a decision to avoid wheat often pretend to have an allergy so that people will take them seriously.
All this does is further alienate people with genuine wheat allergy, and cause restaurants etc to take wheat allergy less seriously.
A lot of people don't understand that wheat allergy is a real thing, and that it can be life threatening.
I don't care about your quack medical beliefs or food phobias, you stupid fucking hipsters.
Stop pretending you have an allergy, you are making the world more dangerous for people with real medical conditions.
James Beat Yes! I have celiac disease (blood and biopsy diagnosed) which is NOT an allergy. It is an autoimmune disorder. Every time I hear someone say they are “allergic” to gluten, I cringe. Wheat allergy is very, very real. Gluten allergy DOES NOT EXIST. I would much prefer to have Celiac than a wheat allergy, as horrible as it is at times. I get very frustrated with the whole trend because I feel like restaurants are so used to dealing with people who don’t actually have a problem with it, they might take less care with my food.
Ami B. Yup.
Celiac disease - 100% real
Wheat allergy - 100% real
Gluten intolerance - 50% real (science is still undecided on that one)
Gluten allergy - 0% real
mk4break
Actually, my daughter's allergy doctor told me that gluten is most likely the protein that is responsible for her wheat allergy, so you definitely can have a genuine allergy to gluten
Genuine gluten allergy is extremely rare though.
I'm sure that most people who claim to have a gluten allergy are just hipsters who want people to take their fad seriously.
If my daughter eats food containing wheat, the reaction is unmistakable.
She gets large red welts all over her body about 45 minutes after eating it.
We can't cook wheat pasta in the house because the steam makes her wheeze.
She was allergic to milk too, but thankfully she grew out of it.
Her numbers for wheat are so high that the doctors say she will most likely always be allergic to it.
Here's the difference between real allergies and food fads - I would give anything to be able to give my daughter a real birthday cake or send her to school with sandwiches.
We don't like the fact that she has a wheat allergy, and nor does she.
She doesn't feel special, she feels left out, despite our best efforts to give her a normal life.
James Beat Wheat is a gluten, but “gluten” encompasses many things including barley, wheat, and rye. An overall gluten allergy does not actually exist.
James Beat Here’s an article that briefly touches on the topic (sorry, I’m heading out the door lol): acaai.org/allergies/types/food-allergies/types-food-allergy/wheat-gluten-allergy
I’m sorry you’re daughter suffers a wheat allergy. Again, I would much rather have my Celiac than a wheat allergy. No need for an epi pen!
This is Every city in California.... In Los Angeles you can rob a bank with a bagel...!!!
Lmao!!!!
Randy Clark I live in Cali and have no plans on quitting gluten but I am vegan organic ✌🏼
😂
@@gear14 You eat plants? That's disgusting. Plant live in the soil, the soil is the earth, the earth is our planet. You're killing our planet. Eat meat.
No Name you’re disgusting
A refreshing counterforce to all those vege BS! I truly love you dude! Thought no one hard the balls to stand up to those bullies making us feel as if it's a crime to eat anything these days.
Lol. I had to have me a laugh before bed. Thanks! 😅
I watched this about a year ago and I've been gluten intolerant ever Since. Thank you JP!
You are likely not gluten intolerant but poison intolerant.
The ad before this was for triskets
I got a Belvita biscuits ad before this.
Esper the Bard their probably gluten free
Devotchka not gluten free, but taste amazing
**Triscuits (your welcome)
I got cheese its lol
I watched this 9 years ago and laughed. Now I discovered I'm gluten intolerant 💀
You're to much man! I love it so much! 🤣😂🤣
"I swear gluten's what killed Gandhi" Lol, that was so unexpected!
ASB he said that right as I read this lol
For sure!
ASB i thought bullet did.. 😂😂😂
priya sarkar A bullet made of gluten shot from a wheat-based gun by a man who loved white bread. I'm so glad I'm informed.
ASB love your profil picture 😍
You gotta love how everything is now labeled gluten free when it is just water or salt or sugar.
Beau Vandenberg I got gluten free bacon yesterday
It makes my life easier, but water? There is a Turkish restaurant that calls their orzo with mixed rice as “wild rice” and says it is gluten free and sweeter by it. So for some people even chefs of a huge Turkish restaurant, some brands have to be ridiculously clear.
“Fat free water” LOL
Yes, and drive up the price. Smh
Im Celiac..it has to do with cross-contamination...it saves me a hastle when i find gluten free beans.
This is lol hilarious! I have a friend claiming this, and you’ve hit the nail right on the head! 😂😂😂
I do like your comical approach to subjects 👌oh and love the hair band 🙄🙄🙄😂😂😂
As someone who is actually allergic to gluten, this is hilarious. I meet people like this ALL OF THE TIME. Who will be like “oh yeah me too.” And then straight up eat a cookie and when I call them out on it they’re like “but one is okay.” IF YOU WERE ACTUALLY ALLERGIC LIKE ME ONE IS NOT OKAY. But I just laugh it off...
As someone who isn't allergic, ok
lol I cheat all the time just get stomach issues and a rash on my leg whatever I like beer
Yeah symptoms vary. My dad, sister and I are all Celiac positive. They get horrible digestive symptoms. For me, it's neuropathy. Autoimmune disorders can attack different things.
Leilani Kauakahi it’s not an allergy, you are not allergic. It’s an immune deficiency. Don’t believe you either if you don’t know what it is.
Well I’m not sure if I have that I’m actually tempted to eat a whole bag of bread to see how much it fucks me up. TMI I know but I used to binge eat bread when I had an eating disorder because I knew I would get diarrhea and lose a pound after the bloating and stomach aches but binging isn’t really good for you itself is it? I’m used to bloating when I eat any bread and get either diarrhea or constipation a lot before cutting it out but I started getting that again when I went back to eating it because fuck it I want a cheeseburger
"How are you supposed to enjoy this coagulation of mysterious flours that form a brick with a density of a black hole in the dryness if the desert?
Answer: You're not, you're supposed to pretend to."
😂😂😂
The passive-aggressive narcissism. This is brilliant.
Love this guy he's sense of humour is priceless 🤪🤪🤪🤣🤣
A gluten intolerant, a vegan, and cross fit trainer walk into a bar. Which one tells you about themselves first ?
hahahaha please, tell me hahahahaha
I was under the assumption they were all the same person...
BraedanRicketts Ricketts
As was I.
The answer is the bitcoin person tells you firsts
That's a good one Kalan.
I used to work at a health food cafe and this was every single customer I had! Thank you sir for this video!!
Awesome...you are fantastic! Thanks for this hilarious video!
You are such a good comédien… and the texte is also so funny 😂 bravo from France 🇫🇷
My word.. this dude is absolutely hilarious
Justen Harden it's actually my word give it back
Justen Harden absolutely
OMG!!! Yes he is!
I have celiac (the real gluten resistance..) & this guy is absolutely hilarious!!!
XD I HAVE Celiac disease and I find this halarios, because a gluten free diet was seen as "healthy" but in reality it had more salt and other extra things that made it tast like food and made it more unhealthy than normal food.😂
Faking an ilness is not trendy pls stop
I have celiac too both my mother and i have had it for over 10 years!!! I think this is hilarious!! And it's because of people who claim they have a gluten sensitivity that it makes it harder to be taken seriously when out in public
Amen. Us Celiacs would never choose to live sans gluten. Just stop 🛑
@@aprilspencer9329 I have celiac also. As a Chef i can safely say this crack's me up and enrages me at the same time
YEESSSSS! EXACTLY!! Thank you
Yep, the uncomfortable truth CANNOT be comfortable. Sorry, sir...
