i just bought a 04 gxsr 600 for 800 it turns over but the fuel pump is not engaging first sports bike always been a cruiser type anyways my question is are the fuel pumps 600 same as for gxsr 750 and 1,000
Found out the bike I am looking at has 50k miles on the non running 2000 gsxr 600. Does have title in hand but that’s a ton of miles and the reason for not running since last October could be a blown head or cylinder issues. Would you take the risk in buying it for $750? I do work on my cars I.e. replacing exhaust headers, water pumps etc so I know I am handy but this could be a blown engine.
I own a 2007 GSXR 600 with 5700 miles, 3 weeks ago I stopped and got gas. When I went to start the bike back up the instrument cluster only displayed the neutral light and the display that shows MPG, mileage, temp etc only had the back light on. When I attempt to start the bike as seen in the video it doesn't start. I started with changing the battery, and still didn't start. There is no black corrosion on the wiring harness to the instrument cluster, yet it still only illuminates with the neutral light. The fuel pump doesn't prime my secondary throttle valves go off, no fuses are blown I am missing the headlight fuse though, my relays are clicking and have spark. New fuel pump and screen put in still nothing, I don't know what else to do I get a million different suggestions and I don't know where to go. Some say needs a new ECU, some say starter solenoid, others say electrical follow the wiring diagram, the list goes on. It's $100 an hour at my local motorcycle shop, any help much appreciated. Thanks
Did you find out what was wrong? I have a chance to buy a 2000 gsxr 600 for $750 that isn’t running and the owner doesn’t know what’s wrong. I don’t know if it is even turning over. Thoughts?
Nice teardown! I love quick fix bike like this! Subbed
Amen
Love seeing something new and different on the channel, keep it up!

Stator and rectifier need to be replaced, same thing happened to me twice

I can put my money on the starter switch since u said your fuel pump does not prime
I mean ours was the fuel pump

Yes our fuel pump was bad. We replaced it and the bike ran great!
So you spray it and because you get no reaction from the bike, automatically its no spark??? Thats not the way to test if there is spark!!!
Thats 1 way haha
