  • The stock fans on the first Anycubic printer, seemed to be wearing out. I expected this, being cheap fans, and I have been running the printer almost non stop. I came across the MK4 Carriage upgrade on thingiverse. It includes improved fans, and an improved fan duct. On top of that all, it looks much nicer than the stock carriage. This is my step by step process, that I went through for the upgrade. I took video as I did it for the first time. So there are some times where I stumbled. This isn't quite a beginner project. It looked easier than what it was. I have some lessons learned for when I do the second printer. Main lessons learned. Don't get the cheap chinese E3D V6, and you really can't use the Anycubic Stock thermsister as it does not fit well. So I will be making some adjustments. I got my parts from Aliexpress, just to test it out. I am gathering parts for the second printer from Amazon.

      @@BensBackyardShop Thanks! I bought a 12v one, but it isn't working, that's why I asked.

@@ferrang8733 yeah it was 12v. the instructions actually have the part number of the fan. Just make sure you are plugging it into the right spot.

Did your Pintquality improved with this or is is the same?

The print quality did see an increase. It was really noticable when i did the first benchy. The original Carriage has the part cooling fan on one side, so sometimes you could kinda see some goofy stuff on the opposite side. This carriage has part cooling on both sides. It also adds a better fan, and a better hotend fan. Once i dialed in my PID and stuff with clipper, its a rockstar
