- Helping Kenzone deliver a car back to their KJ shop from Balakong, I was inspired to video this! Honestly, this model has never been on my Weevil radar, but I gotta say, it was a decent drive indeed. A fuss-free saunterer that's not gonna set pulses racing, was it created to just fill a gap between a A- and C-Class? And was that even needed at all?
Let's visit with the much-maligned Merc B-Class! I'm not too familiar with this model to be honest, I think this one was a B200 from around 2014-16, but I could be wrong. Anyway, this isn't a model-specific review, but rather just a overall look at the B-Class in general, hope you enjoy it! :)

I own one here in Singapore. B180 With sunroof. (& turbo muffler delete)
I don’t use the auto start/stop, kills engine mounts. But overall reliable, parts are readily available and relatively cheap to maintain. Don’t expect performance, but comfortable and an overall solid ride.
Ps; coming from an Ex W124 owner, don’t expect the same build quality. For the price in this day an age, it’s a decent product.

Hi Chris, refreshing to see another UCR from you. I drive it’s smaller revhead sibling and did consider the b250 4matic for the wife once but found the bmw 2er active tourer better looking between the 2.
It’s a DCT so it does have its idiosyncrasies but good to know from your video at that mileage the drive experience you got still gave you a good impression

I own a W246 model. It's a good driving experience. The parts & service is not too expensive (since it share the same platform as A series, I believe). Fun to drive.
I love the driving position (my height is 183cm). Don't expect much on the 'kelajuan' as it's a sport tourer.
I called it, 'si dugong (dewgong)' because of it's design... :)

Mechanic had been telling me this car had a lot of issues with gearbox and other maintenance issues. I'm puzzled how would a mercedes be to have people complaining about it's quality. I had the impression is always rough and withstanding.
Sadly from what I've heard, anything after the W210 is iffy. Anything before that was still built like a Merc should be 🫤

Btw, my dad who is not much of English literate is also following your channel, he say he loves all the old classic cars you are showing, but occasionally he found your video a bit shaky, which sometime makes him dizzy when watching on TV, just a feedback. @@ChrisWeevilGarage Hi Chris…Get a B200 if you were to get one…I bought one brand new in 2014 and it’s still serving the family…Currently at 195k Kilometres…Daily driven and almost weekly journey from JB to KL…Never broke down once but also I never send the car to third party workshops as it’s still maintained by C&C…It’s a bloody good city car and you can do long distance journeys without a problem…Cheers
