Berserk and Fist of the North Star have become my favorite manga and anime. Interestingly enough, I recently learned that as it turns out the author of Berserk (Kentaro Miura) had illustrated for Buronson at various points in much of his work, albeit mostly for work outside of Fist of the North Star, but not exclusively outside of it. That sure explains a lot, actually :D

It sucks that people reduce this series to self insert power fantasy. This series is a tragedy about the good and bad use of power during unrest. Underrated?? You wa Shock is practically Italy's national anthem.
Imo, it's the greatest anime/manga of all time. I remember renting the VHS movie uncensored movie when i was 7. There was nothing like it in Europe at the time, or North America for that mater. If memory serves correct, this was even before Akira or DevilMan were released. This also inspired Sakigake Otokojuku creator, another severally underrated anime/manga.
I want to say job well done, minus the fact that you have Souther instead of Raoh @04:20. Cool video, nonetheless. Hokuto no Ken needs more love.
The first anime I ever watched and what a way to get into anime..still love this show so much, now playing the FOTNS game on the ps4..i hope the game and videos like this bring new viewers to the series, I'd also love a new version of the anime but I know that's asking too much in this day and age. 😂
Brilliant video, had to check it out again.
Great video... at 4:10 you introduce the Hokuto 4 brothers but use Sauza’s picture for Raoh
Best anime cartoon ever , watched it in the 90s im 40 now 👊👊👊
Awesome BreakDown I’m a long time Fan
I come to tears every time i read the Toki n Raoh fight
I glad you found this gem. Whatttaah
No one can really make a person explode.
a pioneering work in every sense of the word
wow, this was a fantastic video. I'll definitely look into the anime
i just finished this anime , and now watching one of my fav yt done a video for this wow
It sucks that people reduce this series to self insert power fantasy. This series is a tragedy about the good and bad use of power during unrest. The last wars were fought with nuclear weapons while the next wars were fought with martial Arts. Its like the phrase "world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones" or something.
Awesome video!

Ah yes, I remember when Raoh build a pyramid and used his Nanto Hōō Ken againts Kenshiro...
No that's Souther not Raoh.
@@TheDimeDrawer *...*
That's the joke lad.
I wonder if I will ever live this mistake down lol
@@DBZimran As long as Raoh doesn't find out. Otherwise you at least get the chance to meet Kokuō's feet.
Your very well informed im glad i got back into the fist of the north star after so many years
Lest we forget that only kenshiro defeated Cell in the cell games ... abridged
I rewatched the series movies and even reread the manga all I can say this is the most godly series
I’m so glad Viz is giving this series the hardcover treatment JoJo got
There's a new edition of the original Hokuto no Ken Manga being released in English starting in June 2021
Viz are re-releasing it in hardcover format
Also please watch Fist of the North Star OVA/Movies for summarized story
Phenomenal video, this is brilliant art that deserves more recognition in the west but fuck it honestly its immortalised in its inspiration its given other manga artists and men all over the world just purely because how alpha this shit is. Kenshiro is what I wish to be some day goat
We will never get anime like this again.
italy in the 60-70 had very good relations with japan and many italians followed manga ,robot collection etc, we had on tv all the main anime of robot by go nagai and shingo araki, and hokuto no ken was on italian tv in the 80 , every single child/teen in the 80 in italy loved hokuto no ken ,it still today one of the favorite of most italian above 30yr ; we had in italy even the production of some japanese robot , as japan only allowed italian to produce them. italian grow up with japanese manga and anime ,now the whole world knows about it , but we knew right away , it was great. it was the time of ken shire , geeg robot , mazinga and grendeizer :)
Kenshiro is like an interesting Jonathan
The Fist of the North Star is has been given a physical release as of 2022
