Great review !
And thank you for covering barstol goggles too. That was my next search.
You helped me make my decision! Hope you both ride safe!
Glad I could help!
I didn’t know this one was ECE rated. Thank you for the review!
Safe riding!
Thanks! Same to you!

i saw one of these in a closeout sale. I know what im getting next paycheck
I recognized the Lakefront at 7:18 just before you mentioned New Orleans. (lol). I have an original Bell Moto 3 which is need of new inner pads. Any sources to get replacement pads? Maybe just generic pads from Amazon?
Pretty sure you can buy replacement pads from companies like Revzilla. Not sure if there are generic pads, but you can probably find the actual pads on Amazon too. They probably offer them in a few different materials too, since some of the helmets use cloth vs. leather, or whatever the other option is.
Hi, great channel. I’ve just had a moto 3 delivered and the peak rattles really bad. I’ve not rode with it on as thinking of returning it. Do your peaks hold firm or if you just tickle them with your finger do they move/rattle around? I’m thinking it will be terrible while riding. I’m really surprised as not seen anything negative about these anywhere.
Double check to make sure all the buttons are snapped in. One or two could be undone. The buttons the peak snap into are slightly moveable.
Scrambler Stories - cheers for the reply, yea they are all snapped in but there’s a good 1/4 inch of movement and the studs all rattle terribly. I’ve compared with my wives bell custom 500 and whilst the peak design is different and only 3 studs there is no movement at all it’s rock solid and no rattles.
hi i saw you have a sena headset install in it how much space you have to install for the speaker is it hard to find space? may i also i ask you which sena model you use for that thanks
It's tight on the Bell Moto-3 and you notice it at first, but it's not bad. Not too hard to find a spot for it. I use the 10C, although if I had to rebuy, I wouldn't bother with the camera version of the Sena. I'd just get the regular headset for communication.
@@ScramblerStories thanks because i already have a SMH10 i usually ride myself just listen music and answer call so i think i just going to pick up a new Sena SMH-10 Helmet Clamp Kit - Attachable Boom so i dont need to spend for another unit
thanks for your reply
Which revit jacket is that?
There's two in the video. The brown one is the Rev'it Eclipse (summer jacket). The green one is the Rev'it Sand 3 Urban.
Hey can you tell me if aviator sunnies fit perfectly inside ? Thanks and great review .
I would think so. I don't have any to test. I've worn sunglasses with this helmet now and then and it works for me.
Super cool helmets 😎👍🏼
Nice review! Does it have a recess for speakers in the inside?
You know off the top of my head I'm not sure if there is a recess or not (I don't think so). But I was able to get the speakers for my Sena in there without issue. I'd check but I'm about 2,000 miles from those helmets at the moment. But I think no recess, but it's not bad with the speakers inside. I've had them mounted in there the entire time I've had the helmet.
@@ScramblerStories thanks for the response!
Looking forward to your thoughts on the new 1200 scrambler!
Working on it now!
I've seen some people mention you can get snap-shields for the moto3, do you think that with those snap-shields touring could be comfortable in this helmet?
Maybe. The helmet itself is comfortable for long periods of time. It would come down to the noise and the wind. If the shield blocks out then that problem is solved, but how loud for the helmet be? For a 8-10 day, the quieter the better. Funny you ask, I've been considering this route instead of my X4 for our future travels coming up.
@@ScramblerStories awesome would like to hear your opinion on how some of those snap shields work with this helmet.
@@shoakimoto2517 Looked into it, but we can't even get them in time. Looks like I'm sticking with the X4 for now.
Are they know to run a little small by chance?
Not in my opinion. I've consistently been a medium size in multiple brands. It's probably more about head shape. It's definitely more of an oval, which is great for me. However someone who needs a round size would like feel that it's small on the sides.
Hola ,he querido un Bell Moto 3 , hace tiempo, pero mi duda es que tan practico o molesto es manejar con el bajo la lluvia. ¿Porfavor podrias contarme tu experiencia con el caso al conducir bajo la lluvia, gracias.
Hi! Just bought new bell moto 3 but but but there is no possible to install intercom sena! How did you do it? Thanks
I just took out the cheek pads and put them in. They were noticeable at first when putting the helmet on, but you quickly get used to it.
@@ScramblerStories So you never put the cheekpads in when using Sena? Or you mean you reinstalled them on top of the installation after?
@@miguelstevens3042 I put the cheek pads back in once the Sena speakers were installed.
Can you wear AirPods with these on?
Well, sort of. I don't wear AirPods while riding but I just tried putting the helmet on with them in. What I found was they loosen up while putting the helmet on, but didn't get knocked out. When I removed the helmet one fell out.
I definitely think you probably could. Might just need to get a finger in there to push the AirPod back in if it came out slightly from the putting the helmet back on. No pressure on the AirPods with the helmet on. At least for me.
What jacket is that at 1:02 and the gloves?
Rev'it Sand 3 Urban, and Scrambler gloves by Street & Steel.
How did you fit the Bluetooth in it ?
Just put the speakers on the sides, behind the removable check pads, where the ears would sit. If I remember correctly, it was easier on the 10s that I used at first, because the speakers were thinner. But the 10c is fine. I notice them as I put the helmet on, but not once I am wearing them.
Nice review thanks! Can anyone confirm if this helmet comes with internal holes for the intercom speakers?
Thanks! It doesn't have spots specifically designed for internal speakers, but you can fit them in just fine. There's a little pinch of the ears when putting the helmet on, but it's fine once it is on. I use a Sena 10C. If you had something with thinner speakers you'd probably be totally fine.
@@ScramblerStories Could you please take some pictures of the speackers inside ur helmet please ? ;) Nice review dude .
Vintage googles cool
What brand are?
Well the main goggles you see in the video or Barstow goggles from 100 Percent. www.100percent.com/collections/barstow
The vintage goggles on the open face in the beginning are Halcyon MK49 goggles. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/halcyon-mk49-goggles?gclid=CjwKCAiAsaOBBhA4EiwAo0_AnK6MKvQ-I9c59Cwy8273vAv0ElvERgCCgAmaiwCTV8gD5o-HGQUlDxoCQfwQAvD_BwE&sku_id=1082425
How does compare to the ex-zero helmet?
I've never used that one so I'm not sure unfortunately.
Just putting it out there..J&P Cycles has this one sale for only $120. Why that is I don't know! But I'm not complaining!
Thanks for posting! I'm buying the Independent Trucks matte grey one. The closeout prices are only certain color-ways and whatever sizes they have left, but still a good deal if you can find what you need.
I’m looking forward to buy this helmet for my first helmet, how does this kind of helmet works during winter time? Like -5C or around 0C
I sue an Aria XD4 for the colder months and touring. It's similar with the visibility, but you can close the visor to keep the cold/rain out.
Hi!, great video! .. About the bell moto III lettering: can it be removed or is under a layer of lacquer? Thanks!
It can't be removed, but on some of the more complex colors they don't have it. The blue and black one that's Caitlyn's doesn't say Bell Moto anywhere.
I Love this helmet!!!
You ever wear it on a freeway or going 70plus? I’m about to buy one myself but I need something freeway friendly
I have many times. It's not really freeway friendly, give or take your comfort level. Once you remove the sun peak, it's manageable, but it'll be like an open face helmet on the highway, except with chin protection. But loud, windy, and the chance of dirt/pebbles from trucks hitting your nose. Honestly I don't really mind it, but depends how long on the highway you are. Ear protection is definitely recommended!
@@ScramblerStories Thanks for the reply! I love the feeling of the wind in my face, but def want the chin protection. I'll probely just end up getting a Bitwell Lane Spliter for the freeway and a bell moto for my daily
@@investlikeawarrior It's worth giving it a try. I did take the Moto-3 on a 800+ mile trip once. Wasn't bad other than when the bugs came out at night, and the rain on the way home! Still my favorite helmet though!
Pit Vipers work really well with this one.
Can you wear glasses with them??
Yeah no issues for me. I use sunglasses sometimes, but I typically prefer goggles.
I do really love this helmet! And your fiancée seems super goofy 😋
She is a weird one!
Do you see the new triumph Scrambler 1200!? What do you think!?
I certainly did. Going to work on a video about it this weekend. Short story is I totally dig it. Seems to be pretty dividing for people, but I like it. For someone who wants an ADV bike but with looks closer to a modern classic, it's near perfect. Might be the bike I take around the world!
The m3 is an "incredibly" comfortable helmet.. very cool.. love it!
Yeah Caitlyn and both love it.
Bought a white one with my first pay. 40 years ago. Saw a guy on a RM125B slide along a gravel road on his face a few years before. Tape or silicone that rattling visor. Yeah. The guy riding the RM125 was going flat out and wearing an open face helmet. The security guard that was chasing him told us to " get out of here, I've gotta take this guy to hospital."
Looks like the Excitebike helmet.
Good review
Thanks!
Great helmet. It needs a flip-down visor. I don't like goggles.
Simpson makes one like that called the Bandit, or Outlaw Bandit.
@@ScramblerStories I'll look it up. Thanks.
Nice kid, how's caitlyns tattoo?
Doing great! Healed like a champion!
