One of Cody's taunts and win poses is him pulling the cuffs off to rub his wrists implying, he could take them off anytime but chooses to keep them on for an added challenge. Gotta love that guy.
Fun Fact: As stated in an interview, the reason Zangief is a "Bad Guy" in the Wreck-It Ralph movie, is because the director hates grapplers. Appearently he would always lose to Zangief when playing SF2 in the arcades, and since then he has been hard-coded as a pure Villain in his mind.
That's kinda funny because grapplers have a stigma in fighting games community that makes people salty when losing to them. Most people don't enjoy losing most of their health to a 50/50 grab mixup. It's a bit ironic though since they tend to be on the lower end of the meta strength-wise in most games.
I don't know much about street fighter. I really appreciated this video. You are so enthusiastic while being condescendingly sarcastic. Very satirical. I loved it. Thank you.
Fun fact about Gill: The main reason he is split down the middle with red and blue is because Capcom were tired of people making fun of characters' sprites, particularly Sagat's, only flipping depending on which way they were facing. So they flexed on the haters and created a character who has 2x the amount of sprites a normal character would have to face both directions.
TBF while they flexed with Gill the fact is that Guile still exist and the reason he has two identical tattoos is the sprite only flipping and they were forced to keep it like that ever since

Karin's anime archetype is "The Ojou": the upper-class/rich girl. They tend to be haughty, have tsundere tendencies, and invariably have a hidden heart of gold, deep down. The maniacal laugh is colloquially referred to as the "Noblewoman's laugh".
There's nothing that says the ojou needs to be good; the ojou is just as likely to be a rich bitch without the complications of a heart of gold. The term refers to a girl from a high-status family, which may or may not actually have wealth and/or a noble title. And it almost always refers to a girl, because they tend to be married off for dynastic purposes, even when they're merely rich commoners.
I had that burned into my mind by the SF cartoon (the infamously bad one), because every episode starts with the narrator saying "Colonel William Guile..."
Ryu is actually quite rich, Ken opened a bank account in his name and put all of Ryu's winnings in there. Ken also donates some cash every now and then. Chun-li forced Ryu to pick up some new clothes so it's easier for him to travel in airports. He also has a cell phone that Ken gave him to call on, but he isn't that good with technology until the events of World tour
So Ryu is self-made, and that wasn't even his goal. That's impressive. 😊 And I don't think I need to say this, but Ken and Chun-Li are my kind of friends. ❤
Clement going from Tekken to Street Fighter lore just feels so good, as both a lifelong fan of each series and an avid watcher of his content since 2012
@@TheRealMoeru he might need to separate it to two or more videos with how truly insane the King of Fighters lore can be... and that's not even getting into the many manga and manhwa tie-ins that just get even more insane than the games' stories.
There actually is a thing that pointed out from Ryu's own perspective that he does have a home, he does have shoes and other things, he just doesn't use them much thanks to all his worldly traveling.
1:03:14 - that, my friend, is the ojousama trope. The signature “ohoho!” laugh that accompanies it involves a hand out over the mouth because back in the older days, when class and social status defined everything, a high class woman’s laugh was deemed too pure to be witnessed by public commoners. Nowadays, the ojousama (madam, girl/woman of high social status/class) is used to describe a snooty rich girl with an inflated ego, and the laugh is the cherry on top of the sundae that is this character trope.
It’s also just a common polite action in Japan to cover one’s moth when laughing. They refer to a western open mouthed laugh as a “horse laugh” that is akin to a horse neighing. It’s, like most western things, considered boorish.
When you think about it, the story of Street Fighter 2 is kinda like a lot of movies during the Cold War period that waned American and Russia to "just stop fighting and bring world peace." In SF2's case is was basically having the strongest powers and countries come together and beat up the most evil man ever. Imagine if Rocky 4 was actually the story of Rocky and Ivan Drago teaming up to defeat Satan.
The name "Seth" is actually a biblical reference. Seth was the son that replaced Abel in the Bible after he was killed by Cain, just like how Seth in SF replaced Abel when he escaped and was possibly assumed dead
Sadly, it’s kind of a black mark on such an otherwise well-researched and comprehensive lore video that he missed what is a pretty obvious reference from Genesis.
One detail about G/Q I'm surprised wasn't mentioned is that they share the majority of their movesets. But while G is charismatic and moxious, Q seems almost like he's being puppetted by someone else, even sounding like he'sin pain at times. His movements are stiffer and more awkward - literally tripping over himself at times. There is a pretty great video doing a side-by-side that really shows the degeneration in the movements.
Not only that, but everyone who is electrocuted shows an X-ray image of bones. But when Q is electrocuted, it looks metallic. I'm willing to bet Q is a doll version of G.
If you compare Q's heavy kick attacks to their G equivalent you can see how Q just flops to the ground. Also he has an incomplete version of the deadly double combination that G has. Bro is going through a rough time
Just wanted to say, watching the whole thing felt like a Herculean effort. Can’t imagine the work it took to make this! Thanks for putting it together.
It’s really funny how SF6’s world tour shows that Metro City just follows beat ‘em up logic even outside of an arcade game, the place and people are just like that
About the skulls on Dalshim. He says they were the skulls of children dead of illness and famish in the second volume of Street Fighter 2 the comics, during his fight against Ryu. During said fight, he has Ryu cornered, but keep hearing the supplication of the spirits of the children, which allows Ryu to do à sho-Ryu-ken Said attacks shatters the skulls qave Dalhsim, as at this point the shoryuken was a death sentence. Dalhsim consider himself foolish to have entered the fight as it was not virtuous, and believes that beating up good people for money is not what they would have wanted.
In Ryu's first fight against Sagat, Sagat acually wins but when he showed Ryu good sportsmanship by offering a hand for him to get up Ryu was taken over by the obsesion to win and shoryuken Sagat by surprise leaving him the scar and close to death. Ryu walks away confused and Sagat hold on to dear life by a thread of vengeful desire.
Fun fact: Akuma did not kill Gen at the end of SFV, he actually found out that Gen was suffering from leukemia before the finishing blow was thrown. Knowing that, Akuma just spared Gen, hoping one day they would have a rematch when they are all healthy. Edit: it wasn't at the end of SFV, it was in SF Alpha 2, I think so.
Kinda makes me think of AVP where the Predator spares the president because he had respiratory issues. Only to get a flamethrower to his back and he turns and kills the man anyway
@@simple11q oh shit i think i screwed up. His health issue was indeed true, and Akuma nearly killed him once, but not at the end of SFV. It is officially unknown if Gen has died or survived his latest fight with Akuma.
You forgot to mention that Vega’s backstory involved him killing his ugly stepfather who killed his mother and how that skewed his view on beauty and it’s how it aligns with morality. Also how Geki was the one who taught him Ninjutsu and gave him his claw.

To clarify a thing about Akuma and Bison... Akuma definitely did kill a Bison, but with him being able to jump into bodies he was able to survive the encounter. The Aftermath event was likely between SF2 (officially taking place in 1991) and SF4 (1994 is when Seth decided to have SIN split from Shadoloo) due to how all those fighters were gathered together in a random place and not some elaborate location. The Street Fighter Wiki has a source stating the 1994 date comes from the Street Fighter Memorial Archives Beyond the World. So it is entirely possible both Akuma destroying Bison and his self-destruct happened. As for why Bison isn't focused on Akuma, the same reason Akuma is focused on Ryu: he has more potential that makes them worthy. At that point, Ryu could be influenced by the Satsui No Hado or the Psycho Power to become the most powerful fighter. All he needs is a strong influence. So while Bison may have issues with Akuma, Ryu is still the ultimate body for him to possess so why bother when you can get rid of your body like if it was an old car and get a newer, better one.
@@AkumaTh Are you familiar with the concept of retcons? Sequels after SF2 retroactively overwrite and rewrite SF2's events. Sequels also establish which of the endings end up becoming canon and which remain completely or partially "what ifs". Bison and Akuma never canonically met as of the modern SF era starting with SF4. They literally act like they don't know each other. Bison's only encounter with the SNH is from Ryu himself. The only thing Bison and Akuma have in common is their infatuation with Ryu.
@@ouranos0101 Again, 30th Anniversary SF Profile, which was released in 2018, with only had SFV Champion Edition and SF6 coming after, and thus came after the Aftermath stuff, States Akuma Challenged Bison. They have met and it is canon. Nothing in the new update or 6 contradicts that fact.
I think this is not just a joke and it’s an actual canon trait for Zangief. Because in the manga Sakura Ganbaru written back in the 90s, this hatred of hadokens is a plot point for him. But I don’t know how much of the manga is really canon since there Cammy got her name after Sakura called her that on a whim, which is different to what Clement told here.
@@bulb9970 Its an udon comic which are known for having canon issues, this manga also was released in 1996. The instructions for ssf2 turbo for the 3do 1994 states his dislikes are: fire ball, sonic boom, yoga fire, tiger shot. These things aren't in the other instruction books for sf2 and ALSO not in the japanese release of world warrior (i tracked these down from incorrect claims on reddit.) If this is a trait referenced in a japanese magazine from earlier than that I couldn't find it. I always assumed it was a self insert by zangief mains who wrote the book and now its part of his win quotes in 4-5 and profile in 6. The players guide and old magazines are fun reads though, they state cammy hates: everything when shes angry and that ryu is afraid of spiders, this is actually referenced in MvC3 when fighting spiderman.

I just bought Street Fighter 6 last night with absolutely no Street Fighter experience beforehand (beyond playing some arcade version on emulators almost 20 years ago) and had a blast playing couch matches last night. But I wanted to know some of the backstories for the characters, and that’s how I found this video. Thanks for making this, since I feel like I have a pretty clear image of what has happened now. I am excited for Akuma to be playable at some point. I was a little shocked to see how many characters the last game had!

I'm just trying to figure out which Mega Man timeline Street Fighter is connected to. There's references between SF and the Classic timeline, but SF6 has the Battle Network version of MegaMan's symbol on a chip in the Story Mode. And are all these games fictional in the Dead Rising universe? What about Resident Evil? Is Luke Captain Commando? What about Viewtiful Joe?! Devil May Cry!? Phoenix Wright?!?
@@MegaManXPoweredUp Battle Network is alternate to the classic/mainline but crosses over with it. The answer is, genuinely, "both". Battle Network canonically time-travels (it can cross over within its own timeline (with Star Force), several hundred years into other series' futures (it crosses over with the Boktai/Lunar Knights series, BN4 to Boktai 2, BN5 to Boktai 3, BN6 to Lunar Knights), and with Megaman Zero 3 in BN4). Megaman also crosses over at the Zero era with SvC Chaos, where Zero gets displaced but still has radio communications with Ciel. Oh and in Marvel VS Capcom X era X and Zero show up, so... ...And in Tatsunoko VS Capcom we even see both Roll and Zero together so they can even still have time travel with each other. The timeline answer is that the Megaman timelines SF connects to is "all of them, and at multiple points in time, because MegaMan apparently has common enough time travel shenanigans that they could have a giant multi-generation party over at Ryu's place if they wanted to. (Remember, Megaman has robots that manipulate time AND canonical time travel machines.) Edit: but for the purposes of placing *Doctor Light* in this: it might be at around MM9's time, since Chun-Li is the news reporter there.

Fun fact: Dan Hibiki's gi is based on the gi of Judo Gene LaBell, the legend who won the first real mixed rule fight against a boxer in the early 1960s. He then worked as a stuntman and was Ronda Rousey's honorary uncle. He actually got his pink gi the same way the first time.
also, gene labell made steven seagal piss himself. story goes that on the set of a movie, seagal bragged about how, thanks to his uber cia/aikido/bullshido training, it was impossible for him to be choked out. gene was actually a stunt-coordinator and already had a problem with him since seagal is notorious for being extra violent with stunt men. like he would legit hit them and send them to the hospital. gene took the challenge and with his permission, locked steven in a rear naked choke. steven tried to get out of it but sadly for him, he didn't know how to get out of it and promptly passed out. then he either pissed himself, shit himself or a combination of both. either way, his pants were not clean afterwards. of course, steven denies this took place but gene and several other people have confirmed that it indeed happened.

let's be real here, the best endings to alpha 3 are the ones where gief destroys the psycho drive by throwing honda at it, and the one where sodom blows it to hell with a bomb truck.
I always liked to imagine it as a Rashomon type thing where bits and pieces of all the endings are canon for where they would contradict each other. But Sodom driving the truck right into the Psycho Drive definitely was the most badass one, I just want it to be canon just for that alone. I mean he hasn’t shown up in any Street Fighter game since as far as I remember, so I like to believe it’s actually true.
Luckily the name switch fits them well, since Vega is a very spanish surname, M. Bison is such a dictator name and Balrog surely conveys the dude is able to punch a bull as a warmup
Heh. Not really. Vega is a Spanish surname as well as a bright star in the sky. Works well for both the Spanish guy and the flying guy with energy powers. M. Bison works well for both the massive fighter guy who charges like a raging bull (and is an expy of M. Tyson) and the also massive fighter guy who is the leader of a nation. But Balrog? That's a demon of flame and darkness from Lord of the Rings. It doesn't work well with either the boxer nor the Spaniard (unless you want to think that demons have "claws", in which case it only works with the Japanese version, but it's a stretch).
Small immediate correction. Goutetsu always used the Satsui No Hadou. He could use it at will. It was Gouken that refined the techniques to make it so they no longer required using killing intent. This is why Gouken was chosen as the successor to Goutetsu (which angered Gouki). Gouken actually evolved the techniques. The technique Gouki perfected was the Shun Goku Satsu and Goutetsu died happily because he wasn't able to use that technique...so both his students had surpassed him in different ways.
I dont like it, *we* dont like it, but we have to face the facts that Japan loves to fetishize the 'we're not blood related so fcking my sister is fine' thing in fictional media, it sells so it could very much be a thing... :/
They're not related by blood (except Cammy and Decapre, but they're not twins as he says either), but yes they grew up seeing each other as sisters and they call each other sisters. So making gay jokes about it was even more crass than he thinks.
The amount of time and research that went into this is astonishing. Thank you. I’ve always been a casual fan of the series but this is making me intrigued into the lore now
There's a really awkward common misconception involved with Goutetsu and the Satsui no Hadou: Typically, most martial arts masters disdain "forbidden techniques" and such, but Goutetsu was actually all for it, so when Goutetsu got killed by the Shun Goku Satsu, he was proud a pupil of his was able to tap into what he felt was the pinnacle of the martial art he invented. Spin-offs and adaptations proceeded to disregard that and follow the cliche of the Master forbidding such things and being disappointed a pupil would go down such a dark path. Goutetsu INVENTED his martial art with the intent to kill. He just couldn't tap into the Satsui no Hadou as good as Akuma would be able to later on. It was GOUKEN who stepped back and thought a killing martial art would be a bad idea, so he went over what he learned and turned down the lethality of the techniques so it could be passed down safely. If creators wanted that cliche virtuous martial arts master, they already had it in Gouken. Having Goutetsu be that way would render Gouken redundant and borerdline pointless.
@@carlbloke8797 The Street Fighter Alpha manga released back in the 90s explains the whole backstory of Gouken, Akuma, Goutetsu and so on. As far as I know, that's where Goutetsu originated as a character. It's stated there that he created the shoto fighting style as a murder technique. Akuma embraced this and mastered it with the Satsui no Hado, while Gouken reshaped the shoto style to a more noble cause. Ryu briefly tapped into the Satsui no Hado during his shoryuken against Sagat, so he believed the technique could lead him to the dark path. After that, he tried to stay as far away from it as possible. Ken was more bold and brash, trying to push the shoryuken even further thinking that Ryu was being too afraid to improve. The two have a disagreement, have the fight at 45:33 and Ryu makes the first steps to evolve as a fighter while still having a good heart. So Ken wasn't actually lucky to win that fight, it was Ryu holding back on purpose. It's a good read, there's also a manga focused on Sakura that's even better and portrays her fight against Karin at 1:02:51
Here's a little Capcom fun fact for you: In Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter V, Ken is voiced by Reuben Langdon; the voice of Dante from the Devil May Cry series. They even have a self-aware reference to this in Street Fighter V in which Ken has a DLC costume that dresses him up exactly like Dante in Devil May Cry 4. :)
18:52 actually in the Japanese version; guy literally is just some guy to Cody in final fight 1. No seriously in the jp version they never met till FF1. Cody is just mad and ranting about Jessica getting kidnapped and guy wants to fight him to prove how great his ninjutsu is, and agrees to help save Jessica as he views it as a worthy test of his skills. It’s why he decks the crap out of Cody randomly in the end. Guy then became friends afterwards seeing the righteousness in their causes and it inspired him to help the innocent in later appearances.

Fun Fact about Dee Jay. In Street Fighter 2, his pants of course say MAXIMUM on them, but this wasn't originally going to be the case. Capcom originally planned for his pants to have the word "MANTIS" on them, but due to all of the character sprites being mirrored depending on the direction they face, the N and S in MANTIS wouldn't have been symmetrical. MAXIMUM has all symmetrical uppercase letters, so the word still looks the same even with the mirrored sprites.

When you got to Akira of Rival Schools, I was thinking "this guy has to have a tekken vid". Then you later got to the Mishima Zaibatsu and casually started talking about Kirin... I always wondered "does bison know about the Mishima's and Geese Howard?" I've always forever assumed every game is connected, especially with the whole Ken being the king of "american" fighters. For the most part though, I know all this lore. I didn't know about Blanka being a boy lost in the forest after a shot down plane he fell out of.... strong kid to fall and live so it makes sense he turned into an electric green bean.
For Gouki it's possible he came to the conclusion that the Dictator and his Psycho Power wasn't worthy of a "true" fight and simply KO'd him instead. The Dictator's Psycho Power would have allowed him to recover from a beat down and then the rest of the endings happen. Street Fighter's lore is extremely convoluted but it is possible to stitch all the cannon endings in a way that would fit as long as safe assumptions are made.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if he going to do *The Insane Lore of Mortal Kombat* or *Killer Instinct* because both of them have really good stories. The main problem is that one of them resets the timeline.

So frieza then.
It’s also just a common polite action in Japan to cover one’s moth when laughing. They refer to a western open mouthed laugh as a “horse laugh” that is akin to a horse neighing. It’s, like most western things, considered boorish.
Love it. In anime it always makes me chuckle
Also known as the hime-dere.
I think it is still the same thing in Japan... Except change Commoners with Low Class. Same thing
That sounds like a cool cheesy movie.

The name "Seth" is actually a biblical reference. Seth was the son that replaced Abel in the Bible after he was killed by Cain, just like how Seth in SF replaced Abel when he escaped and was possibly assumed dead

Bro is going through a rough time
Back heavy kick is literally just Q falling over and hitting you with his flailing leg.
Just wanted to say, watching the whole thing felt like a Herculean effort.

About the skulls on Dalshim.
He says they were the skulls of children dead of illness and famish in the second volume of Street Fighter 2 the comics, during his fight against Ryu.
During said fight, he has Ryu cornered, but keep hearing the supplication of the spirits of the children, which allows Ryu to do à sho-Ryu-ken
Said attacks shatters the skulls qave Dalhsim, as at this point the shoryuken was a death sentence. Dalhsim consider himself foolish to have entered the fight as it was not virtuous, and believes that beating up good people for money is not what they would have wanted.
I believe the pete holmes version is cannon.

Akuma and Bison never fought, never met, no interaction in the canon timeline. The event goes against established canon.

I believe that Zangief's distain for fireballs is meta commentary of zoner characters keeping out grapplers

But I don’t know how much of the manga is really canon since there Cammy got her name after Sakura called her that on a whim, which is different to what Clement told here.
@@bulb9970 Its an udon comic which are known for having canon issues, this manga also was released in 1996. These things aren't in the other instruction books for sf2 and ALSO not in the japanese release of world warrior (i tracked these down from incorrect claims on reddit.) It's actually satisfying to know that Street Fighter and Final Fight are in the same universe.
Strider and Rival Schools also take place in this universe

Thank you for your immersive deep dive into the lore, you put a lot of time into this! I enjoyed it thoroughly!
The reason sagat was built up as a villain was due to the rivalry Karate had with Muay Thai back in the 80s and 90s.

They're not related by blood (except Cammy and Decapre, but they're not twins as he says either), but yes they grew up seeing each other as sisters and they call each other sisters.
So making gay jokes about it was even more crass than he thinks.
The amount of time and research that went into this is astonishing. Thank you. I’ve always been a casual fan of the series but this is making me intrigued into the lore now
There's a really awkward common misconception involved with Goutetsu and the Satsui no Hadou:
Typically, most martial arts masters disdain "forbidden techniques" and such, but Goutetsu was actually all for it, so when Goutetsu got killed by the Shun Goku Satsu, he was proud a pupil of his was able to tap into what he felt was the pinnacle of the martial art he invented.
Honestly that sound much more badass and interesting. Makes Gouken stand out more, same for Gotetsu.
I’m genuinely curious where is your source on this about Goutetsu?
I don't know if I've ever clashed so much with someone's voice and narration style but the video is very well researched
I’ve been watching you since 2012 Clement, and your evolution as a creator is amazing. Keep changing, improving and doing what interests you man!
Dang, nearly 3 hours of lore and no mention of _Shen Long_ the strongest street fighter? Smh
Excellent video Clement! Looking forward to your FF16 retrospective/review sometime in the future!
Fun fact: before Shen Long got attributed to Gouken, Street Fighter The Movie The Game tried to make their own. Apparently he would be so powerful that his power was turning him into a real dragon. This idea ended up scrapped because the costume was super low quality.
1:20:37 Ken parried Chun Li's kicks then jump to parry the 14th kick then Ken countered with his super. I was there.
Grew up with franchise, dating back to the early 90s. Had no idea there was THIS MUCH LORE put into it. Makes me want to but the anniversary collection and Street Fighter 6. Thanks for the effort put into this video.
It's only a matter of time till Clement does an Insane Lore video on the entire Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
This Absolute Canadian Giga Chad, has marathoned every single sonic game and has gone to very deep lengths talking about the story, characters, gameplay.
Don't worry about replaying Sonic 06 or Lost World 3DS Clement, just use your old footage or get your fellas to help you out.
Knowing him he’d deliberately miss out 06 if he did a lore video on the series 😅
My man spent over a decade trying to play through every sonic game.
Give him some time off of the franchise.
@BH-98 to be fair, that game retconned itself out of the series canon, meaning there is no reason to bring it up when talking about canon games.
@@V-Jes That still cracks me up to this day, like they were so done with it they decided right at the ending to never wanna bring it up again, makes sense considering the shitty crunch that happened around making that game. But ig by the time Generations came out they were fine with embracing it, Sonic canon is a mess.
This Dan guy reminds me a lot of Hercules from Dbz. Joke character, fake teacher, fake skills, has his own dojo/school.
Loving the content! Never thought I’d be this invested in a near 3 hour video about the lore of a bunch of games I’ve never played lol
Loving the voices Clement puts on for the character dialogue moments, 1:10:23 for example, he's so into it!
Clement has been voicing the characters (when there are only texts) in his LPs since the beginning, and he always gives his all when doing it!
Dude I’m not even joking I was literally like “damn, I should probably catch up on the street fighter lore before I play sf6” and then behold this at the top of my recommended
If Street fighter is the granddaddy of fighting games, would Mortal Kombat that dirty uncle that allows you to drink beer and smoke when you're 14?
Pretty much Lmao
“I sense nervous energy”
*”I LOVE HER”*
😂😂😂
People like you take Nostalgia to the top! And I appreciate all the work you put into this. Half the characters I didn’t kno.
The fact that street fighter 6 world tour has it taking place in Metro City in EVERY prequel it connects there. Its wild.
Blanka, lore-wise: Such a touching story, I wish the best for you!
Blanka, gameplay-wise: I hate your guts! I wish it was you instead of Nash at that waterfall!
Clement: "The final game I'm gonna talk about."
Me: "Until Street Fighter 6."
When you got to Akira of Rival Schools, I was thinking "this guy has to have a tekken vid".
Then you later got to the Mishima Zaibatsu and casually started talking about Kirin...
I always wondered "does bison know about the Mishima's and Geese Howard?"
I've always forever assumed every game is connected, especially with the whole Ken being the king of "american" fighters.
For the most part though, I know all this lore. I didn't know about Blanka being a boy lost in the forest after a shot down plane he fell out of.... strong kid to fall and live so it makes sense he turned into an electric green bean.
Just heard the tek ken mention of vid.... guess what im watching next? Lol.
(Yes i just got here)
For Gouki it's possible he came to the conclusion that the Dictator and his Psycho Power wasn't worthy of a "true" fight and simply KO'd him instead. The Dictator's Psycho Power would have allowed him to recover from a beat down and then the rest of the endings happen. Street Fighter's lore is extremely convoluted but it is possible to stitch all the cannon endings in a way that would fit as long as safe assumptions are made.
Used his original name, didn't clarify that it was Akuma, based af.
@_Kenshin you do realize he was giving you a compliment right? Not complaining
It wouldn’t be a surprise if he going to do *The Insane Lore of Mortal Kombat* or *Killer Instinct* because both of them have really good stories. The main problem is that one of them resets the timeline.
Resets the timeline... multiple times!
@@dnkakusei
How often has MK done that?
@@AlexThat200 Twice.
@@jaretco6423
Johnny is more for doing individual games rather than long videos about narratives.
He will mention the story, but only to the game it’s contained in.
Would rather see Killer Instinct as a Million people have done MK already... but seeing as how MK1 is about to come out...
Thanks for sorting this mess, lol. I had no idea Alpha took place after SF1, and that SF3 took place after SF5. Not that I was scrambling to put them together, but it does shine a light on some things. Great job!
Wow is all I can say. The amount of effort in this is breathtaking. I'm 27 minutes in and my mind is blown! Thank you so much for all the research you did about this! I'm excited to finish this video and see what else you have on your channel!
Pretty good day, but to top it all off with a damn near 3 hour lore vid from Clement takes the cake! Thank you for all your hard work and effort that you put into this, well worth the wait.
1:18:37 A Delta Red spin-off game would be dope, like a beat-em-up or adventure game where they go on missions dismantling Shadaloo... and sometimes having to bring Cammy back to her senses as she goes back to Killer Bee mode, lol.
