I think the lake level is lower since we haven't been getting enough rain. Maine has an ocean trail along the coastline that you can Island hop and even camp on some I've always wanted to do it. It would be cool to see you do some salt marshes in the future and maybe some bird peeping.
I probably would have if it was with me, but I wouldn't have tried to push through the sludge like I did with the hardshell. I would have just gone back the way we went. I wouldn't want that sludge to possible get stuck in the channels of the Oru.
The Dagger Zydeco is a great little kayak!

What lake in CT did you do? I live not far from CT
Glad you didn't have to get out and push in that sludge. Would you use an Oru in that type of water?

Nice Dagger you both have - is that an Axis?
It's not mine. But it was fun to kayak in!
@smkauthor I have an older Dagger Blackwater 10.6 that's the predecessor to the Axis - such a great boat.
Very cool! This was a Dagger Zydeco 9.0.
