Hey Steph! Just a FSU student who is living through your content. I’ve only lived in FL for 2 years now after transferring so I got excited and decided to get a paddle board, but I get a bit overwhelmed of the unknown so I’ve been trying out your spots and first time at Wakulla Beach, for July 4th! Super quiet, was able to paddle a bit, thank you, any more local recs? Of maybe blue or clear springs or some beginner paddling! ❤
I will say though not being use to gators made me anxious about paddling through the grassy spots but seeing you go through with confidence has made me try it and wow I regret not enjoying nature up close!
That's great! So glad you had fun. Have you tried Wacissa or Wakulla river yet? Also FSU has the rez that is on Lake Bradford. I have not been as I'm not a student but might be worth checking out.
That’s the one I own. Nice to see your review. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is to do a roll with it (obv with spray skirt on). I feel that will make a big difference if it goes ok.
Have you taken the Inlet out on the same beach? How did it compare? PS: Moving your car with the tides: "Tell me you kayak in the Florida Gulf Coast without telling me you kayak in the Florida Gulf Coast!!” 😅
Id love to give one of these a go....
Good job you spotted the riding tide before you lost the car!
Concerns about the black plastic heating up in the sun is one of the reasons I went with the Beach LT over the Beach LT Sport.
This video was fantastic but the minute I saw you in the oru I knew I was too big for it 😢. Still a great looking kayak 😊

Let me know how it goes! I'm not sure I'm going to attempt it before I return the sample.
How easy is it getting in and out?
It's more challenging then the open cockpit oru kayaks, but not too bad.

No, I would not take the Inlet in this water since it's not made for choppy water.
