    hello my friend, i also I have the Sony XBR-75X900F, 75 inch. It just shut off randomly today, and flashes red 4 times. it will turn on and stay on for like 30 seconds, then shuts off again, everything else works perfect, like the screen and loading when i turn it on, but after like 30 seconds shuts off again and flashes red 4 times, Would that be the main board or power supply boards that I would need to replace? please let me know, thanks so much..

      4X blinks in a x900F is likely the backlight strips themseles unfortunately.

      The backlight strips themselves will probably need to be replaced. The backlights are set on the front of the chassis under the panel. You would need to get the screen and diffuser panels off the front of the unit to get to them. Its a pretty complicated repair.

      @@tvpartstoday oh i see, thanks for getting back to me, one last thing, when the screen comes on its stays on, perfect picture, its only ever 30 seconds or so then it will shut down and restart, can that possibly be the power supply or main board as well? or

      Adding: We always recommend googling your TV model number + backlight replacement to see if there are RUclips videos showing you exactly what you would be getting yourself into. We only recommend a DIY-er to attempt it if they are okay with knowing it is last resort as most TV screens are broken during backlight replacement.

    I have the Sony 900F 75 inch. It randomly shuts down and flashes red 4 times. I can typically get it restarted after I reset the power. I’ve noticed if I don’t watch HDR movies and turn down any the post processing it typically doesn’t have an issue. My guess is that it’s overheating since the scren works all good still. Would that be the main board I would need to replace you would guess?

    Excellent instructional video definitely going to like and share! I have a Sony XBR 75X900H that just powers down on its own. It gives me 4 Red flash's for an error code that I just discovered. I replaced the main board but unfortunately that didn't resolve the issue. Do you know what the DC voltage should be on the PINS from the power board to the main board? I would like to run a check prior to buying the power board.

    • @tvpartstoday
      @tvpartstoday  2 года назад +3

      Hello,
      We typically do not recommend diagnosing a set from the voltages alone, as it can be inaccurate and misleading. For example, if you have an issue anywhere in the set, it could bog down the standby voltage on the power supply board. If there is an issue anywhere in the set, it can prevent the power supply board from coming out of standby and into high power mode. These two examples could lead someone to think their issue is the power supply board if they are going by voltages alone. TV repair is a process of elimination; you replace the most likely circuit board to the least likely circuit board until one resolves the issue. If none of the circuit boards fix the issue then it is determined to be a failure within the back lights or the panel/screen.
      The four blink code in your model indicates that it could be the LED Driver, main board, or power supply.
      The manual states that is the order in which to try, you could order all three parts to save on shipping and return any parts that are not needed.
      The links to those parts are listed below. Also feel free to contact Info@tvpartstoday.com for any questions.

      It sounds like either the Main Board or the T-con Board is having issues in your TV set. I know some Sony models have a "test screen" that displays when there are problems. If you send us an email to: info@TVPartsToday.com with your model number and a brief description of your issues we should be able to provide you with some more, in-depth, troubleshooting advice. Any pictures of the vertical lines you can send with the email will help us out a lot.

    I have this same tv and its giving me issues. No picture at all but can hear sound once it turn it on. Opened up the back. Noticed the led driver board has a green light and a red light flashing in 3 consecutive flashes as soon as i turn it on. Is the red led on the led driver board an error indicator? Was going to just replace the main board but came across your video and thought I would ask the pro’s.

    • @tvpartstoday
      @tvpartstoday  Год назад +1

      First we would need to find out if you are getting the backlights to fire correctly. We have a video on how to do a flashlight test to see if your backlights are on or not. Ill link that. ruclips.net/video/2TMfkYy58ZU/видео.html
      If you are getting backlights, then your mainboard is most likely the issue here.
      If you are not getting backlights, then I would recommend swapping that LED driver.

      I checked the part list for this unit and I didn't see a dedicated audio board, so the main board would be the part to replace for a "no sound", issue.

    Hello,
    If my issue is that the power will not come on the TV at all (there's no light or you don't hear that click when the TV turns on), then is the issue is with the main power board or the sub power board, is that right?

    • @tvpartstoday
      @tvpartstoday  6 дней назад

      That could very well be the case. I would start by swapping the power supply boards and then if that does not work then I would try the main board. Sony units can be tricky to diagnose, but usually, if you can get power back to the unit, then you can use the blink codes to start narrowing down the list of potential issues. Hopefully there are no more issues in your set and the power boards get you back up and running.

    Hi there! I love your videos and explanations. I have the Sony 4 red blinks of death on my XBR75X900F tv. I replaced main board, downloaded and attempted to install firmware update. TV turns on and was showing white light to indicate updating, then Sony logo followed by android logo....then black screen and 4 red blinks. Does it sound like bad main or LED driver board? Blink codes on a Sony TV can be tricky. There is a list of possible problem boards and parts that are attached to each code, so narrowing down the problem is about as good as we can hope for. If you send us an e-mail to info@tvpartstoday.com with your model number, your symptoms, and a list of the boards you have already replaced we should be able to get you pointed in the right direction. @tvpartstoday  Год назад

      With Sony TVs there are usually what are called "blink codes". That is the "4 blinking lights" you see after the unit shuts down. These usually tie back to a number of parts that could be the issue. Send us an e-mail to info@tvpartstoday.com with a brief description of your symptoms and your TV model number and we can get you pointed in the right direction. Thanks, Nick.
