    God, that was just amazing! Another piece I like by Britten - I knew it before, but had forgotten about it a long time. Gramercy and thank the lord have found it again.

    Simple Symphony is not simple to ply. Bravo!

      The "simple" is because each movement is based on simple themes and melodies he had created as a child.
      Yes, you are right, though: it is not simple!

    I remember playing it in high school...of course not at his level of players. Memories. This is a great sounding group. Thank you.

      We are playing it with our amateur/semi professional players and it is still quite hard 😄 but so worth the effort!

      I played it in string quartet at school, it’s a really fun piece to play.

    Anyone else realize how the title, the movement names and the name of the composer are all alliterative?

      In my study of the piece I caught this and was pleasantly delighted to see how Britten incorporated that tidbit of fun into his piece. Great catch!

      The dedicatee is Britten's teacher - Audrey Alston. I guess the BB composition dedicated to AA was the inspiration for the names.

    This sounds great with a small group of players. It is a lovely little symphony with lots of melodic clarity.

    Esta delicada pero densa partitura de Britten será interpretada mañana en el Auditorio de Zaragoza (España) por la Orquesta de cámara 'Ensemble Bayona' que dirige el violonchelista zaragozano, radicado en Berna (Suiza), EROS JACA.

    Is You tube interrupting with ads or is this your decision? I'm curious. I so appreciate all of these wonderful videos and I understand that someone has to pay or that you would like to get paid for posting. AND...commercials during the music will have me deciding not to watch/listen. Thank you.

    • @AlexEwan1
      @AlexEwan1 4 года назад +1

      The person uploading the video decides when and how many ads are shown. Without ads the poster does not make any money on the video.

    • @flyingpenandpaper6119

      @@AlexEwan1 I have heard some channel owners say that they can't always control how many ads there are. It does seem like RUclips has been more persistent with their advertising recently.

    • @TaichiStraightlife
      @TaichiStraightlife 2 года назад

      I hate the ads... but if it's a choice between 1 or 2 ads or no music, I'll probably take the ads... or just delete the page, which I've done too... okay; I just hit a second ad block as I was writing this with blaring rock that hit like a hammer; if there's a third, I'm gone...
