You have misunderstood one fact. There used to be so called town rights (that´s why the American doesn´t understand why some places are called town and some not and they are able to call town a vilage) and those were: 1) Right to have a fair (it used to be on the square or before around the road that sometime turned into square) 2) Right to have own executor (to cut people or as a part of jurisdiction) - he usually lived in townwall fortress or outside the townwalls (Třeboň has "katovna" in townwalls, Český Krumlov next one bridge at Špičák) 3) Right to brew beer for selling (everyone could brew own beer but only houses inside townwalls with this right could sell it) 4) Mile right - to regulate the competition there was one mile around where noone could have the same. These rules were older than the time of Charles IV. There were some other right that were given separately as - for example - how many wagons of salt they can have and more but the 4 I wrote were basic. So with the mark "town" were given to the place those 4 rights. Best regards from Třeboň - town since 1379 and brewery from that same year - still working but now just in buildings from 1600-1603 - Bohemia Regent.
i've been to České Budějovice a number of times now in the last couple of years and i really like it there. unfortunetly i'm not allowed to go anymore because it's illegal to cross the border for recreational purposes :/ :( greetings and much love from Austria o/
Did any of these facts surprise you? Let me know in the comments below.

@@drakulkacz6489 Thanks for the information. It was very detailed and informative.
@@drakulkacz6489 apparently, that brewery isn’t far from ČB so I think I’ll have to give it a try. Maybe I’ll do a video on it. 😊
@@CzechingWithKatrina Whole the city is worth of visiting. As soon as covid alows it.
@@drakulkacz6489 wait, why wouldn’t covid allow it? I’m not allowed to drive 20 minutes and walk around another town?
Nice to see a fellow Budweiser :) ČB is my hometown.... Greetings Katrina
The most surprising fact to me is that the black tower had been build in 13th century,I always thought it was in 1550´s.
Ohhhh, well done,
Katina you did your homework. I have to admit that some of the mentioned facts I did not know.
Great vlog.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
My city!thanks!!
Great video.
Thanks
My Great gran Father is from there, Tampír homole, I love bohemian beers !!!
i thought all of the facts were pretty cool! i was surprised to hear that the one family lived with a goat haha
I know that’s pretty crazy! A goat living inside that narrow building!
I am 100% sure that MUCH more than 5 players from ČB made it to the NHL.
Well you may be correct. I simply took it from wikipedia.
i've been to České Budějovice a number of times now in the last couple of years and i really like it there. unfortunetly i'm not allowed to go anymore because it's illegal to cross the border for recreational purposes :/ :(

Well hopefully, things will lighten up soon and life will get back to some normalcy! When and if that happens, hope to see you Budejce! :)
Are there international students jobs in České Budějovice
I don’t know but there is a Facebook group called “expats of České Budějovice”, you could join the group and ask there.
That helps me too
Awesome video
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
