I'm figured that the guy who dropped your anchor really knew what he was doing. Very interesting to see the hook-up to his landing craft. Not his first rodeo. Thank goodness the weather was in your favor. Take care.

He’s dropped anchors in the deep parts of the ocean. Said it took 8 minutes one time for an a chore to hit boat. That’s crazy🤯

Looks like you guys are getting some nice spring weather. That anchor should be plenty for your boat, the biggest problem to look out for will be the line chaffing on the bottom and wear on shackles. We had to do yearly inspections on our rigging for bouys in the CG. Stay safe and see you soon.

Yeah there are a couple of divers that make the rounds here every summer. We will hire one to keep up on it. I put that little orange buoy 20’ from the bottom to keep the line wrapping around the anchor. Hopefully it works. Looking forward to the visit.

Thanks Brian, I am finally understanding a little bit what you are trying to do with the anchor. At first I thought that the anchor was for the boat itself, and thinking that wow that anchor is way too big for your new boat, but now I understand, I hope that get the results that you are seeking....Stay safe and enjoy your week You two!

@AnAlaskaHomestead Thank you for your kindness. I have a medical team scheduled for a visit to get me back on some medication that I've been out of for a couple of years. Unfortunately, that home visit is not until June 5th (I'm agoraphobic). I'm going to call the organization tomorrow to see if they can prescribe something before that date. All it took to send me over the edge was my landlord tellin me this time next month I need to move into the newly remodeled apartment behind me (rent increase of $100 on disability) due to moisture problems in mine and another. My sister will pay for movers to take everything out one door and right into the next but I'm not handling the news very well. Anyway, thanks for caring. ✌️🇺🇲

That anchor looks expensive! We just use 15' of 3" ships anchor chain as the weight. It sinks down into the sand or mud and is incredibly solid. Can adjust size and length of chain depending on size of boat.
