This is similar to how I colorize photos in Photoshop Elements if the colorize tool won't do the job. Sometimes, like in this Photoshop Elements tutorial, the old ways are the best. Photoshop Elements Change Color of Object. I show you how to easily change the color of an object using Photoshop Elements. Sometimes you may want to change the color of an object and Photoshop Elements can do that easily, all it takes is knowing a couple of simple tricks in Expert Mode.

You're welcome Rich! I can't count how many times I have shown the Hue/Saturation adjustment in my RUclips videos and not once since 2007 when I started here on RUclips did I show how to make a color Black or White using this tool. No matter how many videos I do, there are still new things to demonstrate. One thing I didn't show in this video (wanted to keep it short) was to make the jacket black, then add a new layer using the same jacket layer mask, filling that new layer with a solid color then using a blend mode to blend the two jacket layers, that is a great way to get the darker colors. Aside from the Black jacket I stuck with the lighter colors in this video.

Hi George: Love these tutorials! When you start, isn't it easier to drag the background layer into first top left layer icon to create the first copy? I know you always do this, but I was wondering if you had a preference--maybe easier to show.

Thanks George, another great video. I will be practicing this one as I need to improve using the add and subtract from a selection, I really seem to struggle with it and selection ends up all over the place, can never get it exactly where I want, you make it look so easy, but the more I practice hopefully my brain will just click and I’ll get it, lol 😅

You're welcome Anne, it is just practice. I am not naturally better at PSE than anyone else, just a lot more practice as I have been doing this for 20 years.

It helped me a lot when George suggested I try a mouse pad with a wrist rest!!! I am amazed at how steady he is with his hands, in contrast, I might as well been born with five thumbs! Food for thought Anne, have a great day!
