Although I have the option of using more than one light source, I find it much more challenging and at the same time simpler to shoot with just a single light source, although often assisted with reflectors.
My portraits have taken on a different and more natural and appealing look, thanks to your videos.

Very useful video. My wedding workhorse is a 24 to 70. I use a 70 to 200 for candid although I also love it for compressed portraits. I'm just researching a 14mm which I fancy to make some big statement photos. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻

0nce again great video! The explanation for the white balance was fantastic! The 7000k was perfect for the skin tone and makeup. The fact that you alluded to that and changed your white balance because of that was the most important part of the video.

I guess a lot of studio photographers are hard-wired at entry level to always go 1/160, f8 ISO100, and then lighting the backdrop separately, creating a 2 or even 3 light setup (for an even, pure white backdrop). So it's a little off kilter in the mind to think of using 1/160 and f1.2, 1. for dramatic fall off with the wide aperture and 2. risking over exposure. But I guess it's all relative after dialling down the key light source output

the modifier is not the Profoto Octa 2'. From size it looks much more like a 3' soft box and not from Profoto. In the description is Modifier: Profoto OCF Softbox 2' Octa listed

As long as you setup the camera the way you want finished product then you won't have any or very little post processing. Thats the way I try to shoot cause I hate post processing.
