    Finally, I've found the flash tutorial I've always wanted to see! I've always been confused about whether to make adjustments on the camera, or with the flash - meaning, how the camera and flash relate to each other. You've explained it all beautifully. Thank you, Jiggie, you're my new flash hero. I'm subscribing to your channel right now!

  • @udaykiran1911
    @udaykiran1911 2 года назад

    The video is excellent sir. I have a small doubt. Please clarify it. At time duration 12:40,you said that you will increase the iso so that you don't need to use full power thus reducing the draning of flash battery. By increasing the the iso, you are increasing the ambient exposure. My question is,Why don't we decrease the shutter speed instead of increasing the iso, as both ways, we can stop ourselves from using full power on our flash.

    All points are right!
    The additional info could be that with a TTL capable flash trigger unit:
    1. We can have TTL flash exposure with a TTL flash unit for A,S, P mode.
    2. One can have manual power control over both Manual and TTL flash units.
    3. On non HSS camera one can still use HSS higher shutter speed by making flash to full power output.

    • @JiggieAlejandrino
      @JiggieAlejandrino  4 года назад

      1. TTL can still be used even in M mode
      2. No you can’t, but you can use flash compensation to make it stronger or weaker.
      3. Best people learn and understand the principles of flash sync speed and high speed sync

    • @vimalneha
      @vimalneha 4 года назад

      @@JiggieAlejandrino
      1. Yes even in M it can be used.
      2. A TTL flash you can still be used in Manual mode, so you can use it as manual flash but no the Manual flash which costs half of TTL.
      3. Yes, people have to understand, and to explain them it would be a longer video.

    Hi Jiggie, at 12.57 you raised your ISO to 400, which allowed you to lower your flash power and reduce your recycling speed, Thai understand fully and it's a great idea.However because you increased your ISO to 400, surely the ambient exposure will now be 2 stops brighter. You are already at 1/8000 so you cannot increase your shutter speed to lower the ambient. Can you please explain how you correct this increased ambient, I am confused regarding this matter.
    Many thanks in anticipation of you solution. Michael
