You're that ninja...
Now I’ll show you why they call me revolver
Congratulations on the beautiful revolvers and congratulations on becoming a grandfather
Thanks.
I just got a Colt cowboy SAA as a graduation present, I absolutely love that pistol and almost passed out when my mom and dad handed me the box. I plan on either getting my future son one or handing mine down. I love how each generation of yours has one. That’s truly a special thing! I keep mine next to my Henry long ranger. Two of my most prized possessions. 🇺🇸

Subtle focusing onto the swinging red plate.
Nice I have one from 1875 that still shots great it has been in the family since the 1800s

Our family has multi-generational weapons. My late paternal grandfather had a Colt .44-40 he owned and carried all his life. My oldest paternal uncle has it now. My father gave me his S&W Model 10-6 when i left home at 18, now 41. He's since bought a new one, a 10-14.
When my nephew is old enough, my 1971 Walther P1, with hexagonal pin and improved slide, will go to him
What a great idea Hickok. You are going to be the coolest grandpa ever.
Thanks, but being "cool" has never been a priority of mine, to say the least. In fact, I take pride in being "uncool." Maybe that's why my friends are "uncool" and weird like ME! :-)
hickok45 I meant in your grandsons eye's, you will be. Not that you are trying to be cool. But when little Davey grows up he is going to remember his grandfather as the one to think of something like this. And what a cool memory it will be. Merry Christmas Hickok
"Let's try the cowboy" *DING* "Got it....... somewhere" {red plate is swinging} almost John
JE 123 saw that too. I was literally LOL.
Man that is awesome! Beautiful guns
yah that is awesome
This is a real special video, and I’m very happy for you and your family. The passion being passed down to generations.
I don't want to dwell on the negative but I can't believe there are people out there that didn't like this video. A very heartwarming gesture of you purchasing these very fine firearms for your son and grandson. Not only not liking it, but having the nerve to plop their ignorant finger down onto the thumbs down button. It's jawdropping.
If I don't get one of those before I die, I will have failed at life.
I agree. Please don't be a miserable failure and start saving up! :-) Sounds like a good bumper sticker: "Own a Colt .45 or you've failed at life!"
Wow, looks like you uploaded this video just as I was in the market for one of these! Incredible timing! Happy holidays Hickok!
@@hickok45 lol :)
That's wonderful! Lots of love to little Davey and his Mum! He's sure got a fantastic Grandpa. Huge cheers to Colt for their ability to help you make these beautiful firearms happen. 👍🏻
Congratulations on the beautiful Colts. As impressive as they are, It is even more touching that they are sure to be cherished by your family for generations to come. While I thought that it would be hard to top John's "birthday" gun, you may have just done so. The beauty of the situation is that there is no need to contemplate which is more special. You seem to be passing along the love of firearms with the family while building lifelong memories. I am sure that years down the road family will be seeing Hickok45 and the memories of him as the true beauty of these. They will truly be priceless.
Great video Hickok! I love how you did such a special thing for both your son and grandson! So awesome! I know they will love and cherish them forever! Keep up the great work!
Man, these holsters look so nice.
What a great story and meaningful gesture, Hickok! Congrats to you guys on the new addition.
John I agree with you like the 4 3/4 barrel length the best. Hickok 45 sir what a awesome thing you did for your family. 3 Colt's numbered consecutively. Some day it would be amazing to see all three of you shot at the same time! And Hickok 45 sir I do have a bib on drooling, but in heaven seeing this video. Thanks for sharing Sir
Hello Mr. Hickok45,
Merry Christmas!
After having watched your channel for 8 years. I finally had the chance to drive through your great state of Tennessee. I saw the sign 4 Buds Gun Shop and took the opportunity to stop in and take a look. They have amazing prices. Much better priced than I would have paid back in the West. Picked up a Sig P320, a Walther PPQ M2 and a SD mod 2. Thanks for the tips and awesome videos. The folks at Buds Gun Shop are great to work with. Life IS good
About 70 years ago when I was 10-11 my dad taught me to shoot with a Colt SAA. I later acquired my own made in 1904 chambered to .38-40 with 4 1/2" barrel. It had been carried by a long time OR sheriff. Bluing and case hardening had faded away, but the gun is still tight and accurate. I carried that gun until the mid 1980s when I semi-retired it. Reason: I learned how valuable it had become. I contacted Colt custom shop and ordered a SAA with 4 3/4" barrel in .45 LC. I did have one custom feature, it has a brass grip frame. Makes it very distinctive. It has been my primary carry to this day. I have owned several other handguns, but have never found anything with the "pointability" of the SAA.
"This is the greatest handgun ever made."

lucas pivatto louzada i swear I thought he’d say his name
Absolutely gorgeous!! Wow! I had no idea they would even do that! Thank you for sharing! Congrats to you and John on your Grandson and Son!!
Really enjoy the father, son and grandson connection. You always make the best videos on the net.
Revolver Ocelot (Revolver Ocelot)
Don't forget that Claire also wields it in RE2 if you do the secret key trick at the start of the game
This is such a great idea. I couldn't imagine a better bonding present than these SAAs. Keeping it classy Hickok.
Awesome idea and great gift hickok45! Your son and grandson will hold them near and dear forever.
What Lovely three generations gifts! Lifetime and generational quality! Thanks So Kindly for sharing such a personal family gift! It’s much appreciated! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
WOW! What a beautiful set of Colt Pistols! Well done grandpa!
Hehehehe, John's "cowboy" was red and square. :) What a beautiful set of Colt's. Such an awesome idea for the Hickok Clan!
Thanks. Yeah, this is my new favorite Colt SAA.
Congratulations to John, you and family! Welcome to the gun community Davey! My three grandsons and two granddaughters will be shooting with Papa some day soon. The older grandchildren are aware and respectful of Papa's love of firearms - they do watch (and assist😉) with reloading time. Traditions are important to pass on. Thanks for sharing your Colt story!
how cool is this what a wonderful grandfather you are sir. hats off to you. why have i not see this before today after watching hickok videos all these years
such a great thing to have memorial revolvers for your family
Merry Christmas to all three generations
I love that you did that for your son and grandson. That's just awesome! Boy O' Boy those guns sure are some eye candy for sure!
What an amazing gift for you and your family! Thanks for all the great content you put out, I'm glad to see you treating yourself with this set. Merry christmas
Love those Colt revolvers! I can't afford one yet myself - but I've got my uberti to hold me through till then!
I love when you break out the Colt SAA's. It's for sure going to be a great video.
Very cool gesture. Being a grandparent is just the best thing in the world.
Hickok, every firearms enthusiast should have a father/grandfather like you! You are the coolest most thoughtful person there is. Merry Christmas to you and your entire family.
Can't think of a better way to welcome your grandson into the world. Congratulations!
congratulations on the growing family.
Merry Christmas to you and John.... congrats granpa..........
Colt SAA has always been my favorite handgun, it's such a fantastic piece.
For me, this was the most special video - what a great gift for the family and something that will be treasured for sure 😌
Love the presentation of the guns, holsters and ammo on the table. They look like a delicious platter of food ready to be served. The bowl of bullets look tasty.
Excellent vid excellent heirloom thank you for sharing! Best wishes for Christmas
What a great idea and gift dad and grandpa. They will cherish these forever.
Well done. Gosh I appreciate the sentiment behind this "theme" as much as you do. Really a priceless thought. Good to see John and also congrats on the "youngster".
Six bullets, more than enough to kill anything that moves.
Bailey Jones some whales might disagree with that

Ocelot would be proud!!
Hey Hickok45, loved this video!! Congratulations to you and John, and to Davy on his first gun being a Colt :) When you get a Colt SAA, do you have any action work done on them by yourself or a gunsmith? Have you ever had any of them sighted in for windage by turning the barrel? I have also heard some people have the forcing cone re-cut to 11 degrees to tighten groups. Judging from how well you shoot, you probably don't need to do any of that, but just wondering. Thanks again for the awesome video! With the stag grips you now truly have a Marshall Dillon Colt :)
I have smoothed up actions before with a stone kit I've bought from Peacemaker Specialists. I don't know if they still sell those or not. These don't seem to need it. Some of the late 2nd Gen Colts and early 3rd Gen Colts had rough actions. Yep, now I'm Matt Dillon in my fantasies, for sure. :-)
A Very Awesome and Touching beginning of a Legacy! May it truly go on for a hundred generations!
Thanks Hickok for your being a True Traditionilist. Father, Son & Grandson matching Colts is so Cool!!!! Gets me to thinking of doing something similar.
Merry Christmas!!
2:05 "engravings give you no tactical advantages whatsoever"
It doesn’t need to
Crappie Gamer mgs3 reference
@@duxnihilo I think that's from MGS5, not 3.
@@antthomas7916 Well...
* breathes in heavily *
In MGS3, Naked Snake criticises Ocelot for having an engraved revolver which he considered frivolous. Ocelot grew to admire him and would constantly change his guns almost as if he wanted to please Snake - even his choice of gun being a revolver was a recommendation from Snake. Ocelot used to use a Makarov, which is a semi-automatic pistol but changed after Snake pointed out his tendency to twist his elbow to absorb recoil would better suit a revolver.
By the time MGS5 happens, Ocelot had already embraced the revolver and he, in turn, made the same commentary about engravings offering no tactical advantage to a random DD soldier, as a nod to what had happened in MGS3.
So, what happened in MGS5 was a reference to MGS3. :)
Also, Ocelot's entire personality was shaped by Big Boss/Naked Snake. He went from using one pistol to three revolvers, to finally one revolver because of his repeated failure to best Snake in combat.
...
I need a life, don't I?
The bullet ear plugs are awesome
What bullet earplugs?
@@codyallen2838 did you not watch the video?
God bless, Hicock45. Hope your grandson lives a long, healthy, and prosperous life. He's blessed to have a grandfather that's as thoughtful as you, but he doesn't even know it! Happy New Year!
Top 5 fav RUclips videos in my book. And yes , I watched all 36 minutes. it's well worth it for anybody that's question yet watched the whole thing is awesome.
Merrrrryyy Christmas.
I pray to god that you retain good health and a long life :)
Awesome video!! Just think .. somebody out there has the serial numbers bracketing these three. It boggles the mind ...
Well Hickok, once again you have demonstrated on so many levels why we Americans are very fond of you, have a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Great video! What a perfect project for the new shooter of the family. I'm sure Davey is going to be as tickled as y'all are, when he's old enough to squeeze the first round off on that beautiful Colt! Congratulations to you both!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to the HICKOK FAMILY, and VIEWERS! May your New Year be more prosperous than imagined.
The Dillon's
That's awesome. Not only will Davey have the guns to remind him of you two, he will also have video of you both shooting them. Make sure you store a copy for him in a safe place.
super cool. what a great gift! I dont own a firearm, but love the channel and would love to have received such a special present from my granddad! especially having lived in Hartford during college and having had the opportunity to visit the factory and learn about what a fascinating history the company and these firearms have. thank you for enriching my appreciation for that history over the years! merry christmas to the whole family
hey John you got a great dad there, you need to cherish those firearms that he has gotten to hand down but also cherish your dad while you still got him, I wish my dad was still here for me to cherish, Aloha and Happy New Year guy's
DAVIE? NO! Big John should have named him Lil' John. I thought he was a comedian?
Frohe Weihnachten 🎄.. Mit Heimatlichen Grüßen aus Deutschland...
Hi Hickok... Every time I have "commented" I always start with, " I have never seen ANYONE who can shoot such a variety of guns, as well as you can"... You are an inspiration.......
With the purchase of these Colts, you have created an amazing family legacy; I know your son and grandson will cherish these guns for their life time; and their sons and grandsons. I love Colts. I have only one Colt in my collection (a 1974 Colt Huntsman), but that one Colt is my prized position... just because it is a Colt. I have a few dozen other firearms of various types, calibers, etc....And I love them all, for various reasons. But the Colt is now, and will always be my favorite... I had stopped shooting it a few years ago (it's about as hard to clean/ re-assemble as a RugerI) but you have inspired me to get it out of the case, and shoot the bee-gee-bees out of it....
Thank you for all the vidoes; I may have the record, for watching the most Hickok45 vidoes of anyone on earth.
congrats to you guys!!!! I love your videos they bring me so much joy it is so nice to here of your new member to the Hickok Clan children are the greatest gift on earth and I can't imagine a better pair of roll models!!! thank you guys for all the great videos .
At 24:50 John missed an important aspect of the old west of course everyone was an amazing shot! Anyone that wasn't was already wiped out in a gun fight leaving only amazing shots to wonder the old west. :-) lol
Natural Selection at its finest.
@@LucyPero Natural selection indeed.
I find my self holding my breath while they aim lol
Just love that case hardened frame. Beautiful. Merry Christmas to all the Hickok's and all the many subscribers.
Your son and grandson are very lucky to have you ! and you are lucky to share something you love so much with your son. And in the future your grandson!
Hey Hickok, have you ever fired a LeMat revolver? Would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Could you do a video on the colt commando assault rifle please?
Zelios "assault rifle"? dose it have a 60 round, 30 cal clip with homing tracers bullet button ghost gun?
The term assault rifle is what the media often refers to modern sporting as. It is meant to make them seem evil, it is unaccepted in pro gun vocabulary.
This is my favorite hickok45 video. I've watched it atleast 3 times. Beautiful guns. I hope to have one myself someday.
after hearing the great news, sir, you could have been demonstrating a trash compactor for all i cared. hickok45, son, grandson, and family, congratulations!! what great news for you, yours, and us all who have followed you, and your son john for years. merry christmas and happy new years to you all, with all the best in mind, and all the best to come!!

Wish you were my dad or grandpa.
Wish you were my dad or grandpa.

Not sure how I missed this one last year, but what a wonderful thing you did there with the three colts. Just wonderful!! Thanks for sharing these special revolvers with us, I really enjoyed this one. The most special guns I have are the ones that came from my family. Take care.......Darryl, AML.
Congrats to both of you. Becoming a father is probably the most important moment in any man's life. And becoming a grandfather probably the best moment. Stay safe.
Any chances I can be adopted by you?
i just couldn't understand why these people would dislike this vid.???? Maybe it's because they envy you Guys huh?
That would be some of it. The rest are probably anti-gun goof-balls. :-)
People are afraid of what they don't understand, why not educate themselves, right? Anyway, congratulations sir.
hickok45 I wish I had a Remington 1875 why don't you do a video with one
Hickok, I think this video, may very well be my favorite video, ever! This is just great! God bless all three generations of Hickok45! I just love the Colt SAA. I have one, myself! Great Gun! ♰🇺🇸👨👩👧👦
Beautiful posting, Mr. 45. Merry Christmas to you and to your family Sir. Thank you for posting/sharing. (I've got good coffee and good donuts waiting for you anytime friend.) HNY too! Wonderful of you, to let us in to the private side of your life. Three generations of hickok45's...congratulations John...life IS good. Amen.
sorry i'm a silly englishman, why does he only load 5?
Mr Beaverson so hammer not resting on live round while carrying
Watch the other .45 vids.... its because if you load six the hammer (when down rests on the percussion cap and could fire if knocked or banged hope this helps
Best wishes from another silly Englishman
Could get snagged on a fast draw
I stand corrected
Laid one skip one load 4 more hammer drops on empty
(Number of dislikes) are here still bitter about Hillary's loss.

Great Video Hickok45 ! Very touching... All the best to you, John and Davey!!! - Merry Xmas and God Bless your family !
That's an amazing thing you did for your son and grandson. I hope I can do something similar for my daughters one day.
Thank you Hickok and Son for presenting such a memorable event in your family history. Congratulations to you John and also to you Greg. I certainly hope to see the first time Davy is out on the range getting his first shooting lesson from Dad and Grandpa. A year old, I'm counting the days. Wait, this was posted almost 2 years ago. I better go find the video of Davy's first shots. Ha ha
Such a wonderful gift and legacy. I was trying to imagine John's ear to ear grin when he found out what Papa Hickok had up his sleeve. Probably a close second to when his son was born. Hopefully these fine firearms will last many generations in the Hickok household. That was pretty slick how you found an excuse to get another Colt SAA. Mrs. Hickok certainly couldn't say no to that one.
The Ermey earplug trick caught me by surprise. Just happened that way or was it another Hickok scheme. Rest in Peace Mr. Ermey.
That's Awesome Hickok Love the looks and passing down your love for the Colt Single Action to your son and grandson
Merry Christmas to Hickok & John! Thanks for all you do.
I have a new frontier in 44 with a 7,5 inch barrel. I got it 6 months before they announced no longer doing regular production. I love my Colts.
Thank you for sharing. The color case hardening on John's Colt looks more appealing to my eye, as it comes across on camera anyway. All three are gorgeous.
