The video I've been waiting for! Thanks for this. I myself am trying to decide whether to do a more conservative or aggressive drop since I love the look of a more aggressive drop but honestly don't really want to shell out the money for a camber kit... might just have to do that though lol. Looking forward to your next video of the end result!
It is a minimal drop (but still noticeable). We’ll see how much the drop has on the alignment first, then I’ll decide on the camber kit. Thanks for the support.
Can't wait to see the result of this on your next video. I have the 2018 touring model and have been really debating on to either get the Proline or Sportline from Eibach.
They are still installed - and I’m enjoying them as much as when I first put them on! I haven’t been tempted to switch them out, and think they’re a great match for the OEM Touring shocks/struts 👍😁
Love your videos you make it to easy!!! I have the EX-l and just put some light weight wheels and high performance tires on using same size as oem(225/50/17). The new tires are amazing in performance and handling when compared to the original Michelin Tire that have very hard compound. Now to my question since I'm running a slightly smaller tire in diameter(about .6" shorter then your stock tire 235/35/19 like the Touring) I decided to go with the Megan lowering springs to help get that gap closed in some more. I watched your video on the different springs and great video on that. After I swap to the Megan springs I'm going to put the oem wheels and tires back on and ride a few hundred miles to let everything to Settle In. Now the to the question in your opinion should I go with and install the rear camber arms because the Megan springs are lower then the Eibach springs? Thanks for any info John
Thank you for the support, John. 👍. Good question and under your circumstances I would recommend installing a rear camber kit in order to get your alignment in order.
I will order one now and thanks to getting back to me. Since after the long term test I see your Eibach setting some more and got lower. I guess I can use my Longacre camber gauge to check before and after spring install to see how much it did change. Just wondering how much factory adjust is in there, oh well that is a different problem. Also it was nice see the spring comparison on the spring rates without having to do the research my self!
Still waiting on the rear adjustable camber arms to get here, oh well I guess I will install the JB4 and lowering and put stock wheels and tire on. Thanks again for your quick response back to me. Oh I am going to break out the Longacre digital camber gauge just to check before and after. Hope the batteries still work in it😁
Hey man great video! Quick question though, i am looking to get the eibach sportline springs , do i have to also buy aftermarket endlinks or have to buy a rear camber kit in order for the springs to work with no issues ?
I’m still using the OEM endlinks without issue, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt. With such a modest drop I haven’t experienced any visible abnormal tire wear, however I do rotate my tires every 5,000 miles. With that said, my alignment is out of spec, but not by much. Rear camber arms certainly would help, especially if you’re going lower and also depending on your wheel specs.

Thank for the insight! One more question, are you supposed to cut the bumpstop on rear shocks as well? Or do you only cut the bumpstops at the top mounts for the front struts assembly?
@kevintabares3085 it’s been a while, I don’t recall. But if you follow the video, and reference the instructions that come with them, you should be good 👍
A little off subject but I saw them in your video, are you contemplating changing your brakes? I have felt that with the horsepower increase I might need to increase my stopping power!
After the springs settle, I’ll have an alignment done, and I’ll see how close to spec I can get. If I need to, then I’ll purchase the camber kit, but I want to wait and see food it’s really necessary.
Hard to tell without being there to hear it and feel it. However, if the clunking wasn’t there before the install, it’s most likely from a loose nut / bolt - go back and retighten everything to spec. If the noise is still present, check your swaybar connections as they may now be too tight from the lowering. Good luck 👍
@TheLemonFactor I love it! I like how the drop is not too low but just low enough to be noticed. Should I get an alignment done now or wait a couple days?
Although there were some minor changes in 2021, I don’t believe the suspension was changed. However, to be certain of fitment I’d recommend checking with the spring manufacturer you’re considering.
Only if needed. This is a very conservative drop. I’m going to let the springs settle then get an alignment. If I’m too out of spec I probably will get a camber kit.
@@TheLemonFactor ok. You might want to reconsidered putting in the camber kit first then alignment so you won't have to pay twice. Keep it up. Love your videos. I myself have a 2018 accord sport 2.0 and your videos are very informative 👌
@@TheLemonFactor I did, and thank you for that. I only saw where you cut the front, and wasn't sure about the back. I already installed the springs and didn't cut the back. Dang it! I will have to do it this weekend. Thank you.
I’m still letting the springs settle and driving it as much as I can, but so far 👍. I’ll have a video published on Friday going over my initial feedback.
Recommended as your camber will be out of spec. However, with my conservative drop, it wasn’t too bad, and the tires show no signs of uneven wear with regular tire rotations 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Near spec is good enough for me. Most my lowered cars aren't ever 100% alignment wise, but have never given me any problems either.
Hey! So I stripped the hex key hole in the front shock trying to take it apart. Would there be any way to change the spring after that happened? I also have the touring as well and I was wondering if I got Coilovers instead would I be able to get rid of the suspension warning by using my ktuner?
There are two manufacturers that sell modules so you can run coilovers with the Tourings adaptive suspension, but I can’t remember off the top of my head and I believe all the module does is prevent you from getting a dash light. You’re still going to lose your adaptive suspension capability 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor Do you suppose I could put the spring clamps on while the shock is still on the car and loosen the center nut from the hole at the top with an impact? Hopefully that makes sense. First time working on suspension and wondering if that would work

I’ve heard that most places are quoting 4hrs of labor time, which is unfortunate 🤷♂️. Another reason why I like to do it myself - many times what I save in labor ends up paying for the parts.
@@TheLemonFactor I hear you there, I plan on ordering the spring compressors, and the passthrough socket set. About 60 bucks. I have everything else. ;)
Agreed. Looking forward to driving impressions! I’m not too concerned about esthetics of drop. Curious about firmness of suspension. But I like the way you are doing it incrementally to isolate each improvement. 👍🏻
Nope, nope and nope. If you care about your suspension and especially warranty. Don’t do this on the Touring with the adaptive dampers.
