why so many dislikes? was a good video. however the game looks rather "raw" right now. at this point i wouldn't spend any money for it. the physics i dislike the most from what i have seen
While the game looks interesting it is too early on in development to really be played. It is an MMO but doesn't have the required player base. They are burning out the players that would be hyped at launch and as such it will likely never get off the ground. That, and it is Gaijin, so we know it will be heavily monetized and p2w.
gaijin isn't really p2w. is it borderline killing it's own games from greed? yes, but not p2w! (1,5k hours War Thunder / 600 hours Enlisted / 300 hours Crossout)
You can board and capture NPC ships, which is the only way to get superior ship hulls and a chance of obtaining its ship parts(superstructure/turret base, etc). I'd say that's pretty much the only endgame content of the game right now - to 'catch 'em all' and to build your dream ships.
Looks interesting and I do like boats, ships sailing et al. From the very early days in the single player Cutthroats, to Silent Service to the MMO of Naval Action. Though I, along with those I know who had the game, we stuck with the PvE side of the game. There was even a game on the Sinclair Spectrum in the late 1970's _(Yup! I'm an old gamer!)_ about being in charge of a sub, but I can't recall what that was. But I did find it funny when you said that the world has been flooded so only the tops of buildings and some mountains are only above the water. Though currently the highest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa at 2,716 ft which, when you think about it, is still just a very, very small mountain or a highish hill. So technically speaking, if some building tops are showing, there should, in theory, be a heck of a lot of ground still available 8-))... But then this is just a game and designers have control of what is and what isn't reality. But I don't care about that. This game just looks kinda fun 8-))...
Gaijin = big no. They publish good games but the monetisation is horrible. They tried to SELL there free to play en steam recently Enlisted Le progression will be exponentially slower as you progres. I have 1 700+h on WT i know the pain
Gaijin big no - spend 700+ hours playing their game ,I don't get people like you , giving something a bad review yet have played something for so long ,for free
Looks cool, but hard no. I already burned myself on Crossout (also published by Gaijin). It USED to be cool and creative, now you're target practice in PvP even if you dump 100s of hours into grind (rather than $$$).
Hmmm, well I always love a good Naval Combat game. Although GUN FLEET (Which this reminds me of) and STEEL OCEAN came and went, so pardon my skepticism. Still Its Gaijin so it probably has SOME staying power behind it. Maybe I'll check it out.
Game looks great but Gaijin after all. they probably postponed P2W elements until they reach their expected game sales. As soon as steam sales slow down they gonna bring micotransactions.
This is Gaijin, so it'll be pay to win - that is just a given. With the different versions it's already started. However, as PvP is not enforced, I don't see a huge problem with that - and it is 2024, so pay to win is a truth of life nowadays.
Publisher recognized your channel as sponsor-worthy? Nice. However please do not confuse publisher with developer, the developer of this game is Three Whales Studio. It's impolite. :c
No they didn't. I requested a key because I wanted to cover the game. I think I mentioned that the game is published by Gaijin, not developed by it. Sorry I confused it.
@@Stealth17Gaming Oh, sorry, with how broadly you presented it and your channel being recognized for ship combat gameplay, I assumed they used your channel's authority on you, not you on them. I guess it makes sense you simply want to keep covering plenty different fresh games on your channel then.
@@avmlaa6639 Yes finding naval games that are worth covering is tricky. Not many out there. I really hope this one won't turn sour as I can see myself playing it for a long time.
I had the same idea: looks great. Publishes by Gaijn. Ehm... Played yesterday and today. Good so far. Maybe it helps that you have to buy the game first instead of being squeezed by grind and not-so-micro transactions.
So the world is underwater, but Tirpitz which is underwater, and 80% not there since its been salvaged for scrap, is suddenly 60% complete and floats...
When I first saw the trailer I was like "Hell Yeah!!! Then I saw Gaijin's name.... Hard pass...... Will never ever again get a game related to gaijin....
Published by Gaijin..... Oh hell no. I've gone through this donkey race twice already and the donkey always loses, while being left as a drunk, homeless bum in Las Vegas by Gaijin.
Enemies way OP on this game, I wanted to like it and you just get too many of the enemy at very start and you are just constantly fixing the boat instead of missions
Team snail would never make a game pay to win would they... I'm afraid I have zero interest in MMO's these days. Can I just show up play the game do a little bit of resource gathering and enjoy the many features and systems of this game? They all end up the same grindy and boring. If you enjoy a game you'll commit your every waking second to it right?
What is going on in the comments!? did i missed some big news or something? you guys are acting like Gaijin is as bad as Blizzard, EA or Wargaming. they are surely no saints, but c'mon... there is so, so much more worse in the industry. i'm anything but a Gaijin fan, but i really can't understand the dislike here
they have a history of predatory business practices. they operate similar to drug dealers: at first they attract players with a fun game/freebies/nice deals, and after they're hooked, they start dialling up the grind factor, squeezing them for more and more money (exploiting the players' sunk-cost fallacy)
@Stealth17Gaming The best way is using cannons to target gunners, then machine guns mostly for the helms. Man, cannon is quicker only if the hull is good. I am currently using a teir 3 boat with teir 3 engines
@@timothyfulkerson6785 Thanks. I'm only at tier 2. Character is level 9. You get this massive XP batch early game and then it suddenly slows down. Is it worth farming tier 2 boats?
@Stealth17Gaming yes because I'm downgraded to a teir 2 boat just to test some stuff. I made my patrol boat all metal and added teir 3 fans, and it goes about 60 I'm using it due to its speed and turning capabilities
Graphics is outdated and stupidly cartoony. Gunfire sounds are sh it, as expected from gayjin. Co.bat looks boring and primitive. Long story short - gayjin in every aspect
What do you think? Like it? Dislike it? Let me know :)
wouldn't buy, too much for the quality. also not enough players
It looks interesting. I hope they have destroyed hulls and battleship hulls. I want to ride around in USS Montana.

"At the Moment not P2W"... It's Gaijin, give them time, they'll find a way.
Absolutely. I think they already have plenty of ways in mind.
Disclaimer: 4000+ hours in War Thunder. The snail got me bad.
gaijin isn't really p2w. is it borderline killing it's own games from greed? yes, but not p2w! (1,5k hours War Thunder / 600 hours Enlisted / 300 hours Crossout)
Guaranteed to die from monetization.
If you buy the gold version of the game your crew have better stats automatically. How is that not p2w?
Clearly inspired by Waterworld, looks interesting.
More like Black Lagoon anime and the Apocalypse Now anesthetics😄

I thought end game is to finish the tec but tbh I learned where to farm medallions
"Published by Gaijin" oh no, I already know where that's going.
Quick hide your wallets
yamamotototo premium. Wallets sweating coins.
Skeptical about the whole 'Gaijin' part, but conceptually this looks really cool.
"Will GAIJIN be able to resist being greedy?"......
No
*Challenge level: **_Impossible_*
It's basically a different look at "Water World"
Naval crossout vibe
I said the same sht!
Interesting. That explains the AoW related decals datamined in War Thunder.
Lol I saw the “kitty sark” and immediately thought oh hey the fastest clipper ship
This is Water-world meets Mad Max.
Thank you for the review! Very informative and straight to all the points needed to touch on.
Have a lot of potential and might get into my favorite games list
Waterworld, the game ^^! Where's Kevin Costner?

Hey that look like a pretty fun fame, especially if you can build and manage large ship
This looks like what I hoped Bloodwake was going to be back in the day, plus an mmo. Seems intriguing at the very least
They way the boat behaves is already all i need to see.. -.-
Offline mode is an option nice 👍
Solid content brother 🫡

This could scratch my Warship Gunner 2 itch.
Man this game could have a lot of potential.
Was excited to see this, then i heard it was with gaijin....hahaha....no. Ill just watch. ^-^

I do enjoy this game a ton. I hope it works out

i see they found a use for naval battles

looks kewl
I like it
This also reminds me of Bloodwake on the original Xbox.
I was interested until I saw Gaijin..... you just know it'll be p2w or Russian bias which kind of puts me off getting this game.
Man this is the type of game i dream about it's like rust but you use boat to travel. But I'm sad it's gaijin made it :(
Don't worry, is Gaijin they don't make pay to win games... maybe pay to have fun but not pay to win😅😅😅
You WILL see Pay-to-win aspects of this game, i guarantee it
Lots of promises can't wait to see more
Burnt by Gaijin in the past.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice.....
The game looks right up my alley, mores the pity.
Looks like Water World. I like the concept but the only business model Gaijin knows is P2W.
Crossout in water, check.
The moment i heard gaijin I payed everywhere and grinded to where it was
Played the demo. It was alright.

However, as PvP is not enforced, I don't see a huge problem with that - and it is 2024, so pay to win is a truth of life nowadays.
I'd be more inclined to play this game if it was made by any other developer haha

Crossout ocean edition?
Gaijin is a scumbag company. After playing Crossout, I will NEVER touch another Gaijin product.
As soon as I heared gaijin i was nah im gonna stay clear from it
ah.. looked like a super great game to play.. but then stealth mentioned its GAIJIN.. instand no! thanks for the warning!

Is it free or do I have to pay?
Gaijin?
Instant nope.
The movie water world.
Gaijin has made good games without microtransactions before, but... (looks a warthunder) yeah...
Not gaijin 😫
Was my thought too. No in-game monetization as of right now. I really hope that persists...
knowing them.... probably not
If you get the gold version, your crew automatically have better stats than someone who bought the regular or silver versions. How is that not p2w?
Some early skills are different. Later game it's all the same.
Because there is no large scale pvp but soon they will have pvp areas
So this is crossout with boats
The idea is good, but the execution wasn't. But hopefully they will make the game better over its Early Access.
For me, It's a "No, just No." Reasons: MMo; "The polar Ice caps melted and the world is TOTALLY flodded."
When I first saw the trailer I was like "Hell Yeah!!! Then I saw Gaijin's name.... Hard pass...... Will never ever again get a game related to gaijin....
those boat mechs are jank asf
I just wish the physics were a little more realistic, the movement is really really lacking.
Where’s Kevin Costner?
Naval Crossout, but unlike Crossout I hope they have Servers near South America 😂
Waterworld the game???
The second transactions were mentioned I bailed. On the game that is, not the review.
How do you get base... ty
Keep following the quest line
boat game or Ship game?

Agreed
Screw Gaijin
damn you gaijin i bet that gaijin will add get more medallion for real money this is gaijin after all
Looks like a boot version of crossout
Please don't become Crossout on water.

Published by Gaijin...nah
It's gonna get pay to win quickly
Props for all the diversity found in the crew. Hopefully there will be some nonbinary members too with creative pronouns.
Anyone know how to get into the tripitz club? lol
I was confused too. You have to complete 1 quest for them and then you can talk to the door guard
Gaijin forces p2w in all their games. Doa even if it looks promising.

What are you recommendations for boarding? I want to make a guide on it but I haven't found the most effective way to do it yet.
