This may have been a "short" video, but it is by far your most important one. As a retired firefighter with 38 years of service, I applaud you for posting this information and hopefully saving someone from tragedy. People do not realize how rapidly fire intensifies and spreads and this is even more dramatic in a confined space such as a camper van. Thanks again for the great work!

As King and Queen of Van fire, this has sparked our interest. We have a fire stick, smoke alarm and fire blanket but THIS would give us peace of mind when we are away from the van!
It’s a cool little thing isn’t it . And cheap as well plus no subscription charge like most things now . And they do a carbon monoxide and fire alarm in one . I think im going to get that as well and put the other one in the garage

They do mate there about £45 which is fine cos it’s cheeper than buying both together I guess . I’m gojng to get a few of them cos I’m super impressed with the quality

Brilliant device. At a van meet. Youre having a beer. Run back and save youre van . masking tape over the red light. It wont affect the sensor. Another brill safety vlog
There will be away to stop that light . But may be a good idea would be allowing us via the app to turn it ff

Been using the xsense water detector after having a leak and not noticing for a while, also temp sensors so I know if it's too hot for doggie in. Needless to say, I have not had a leak since so no warnings from water detector. But temp sensors are great and use all the time to monitor the van.

Hi, no we haven’t had any issues so far touch wood but we do have the max air fans on when cooking

I worked for fire service for 8 years wifi smoke detection pointles coz by the time u warned anyone your van would be burnt to a crisp

Don’t know many basic alarms that connect to the WiFi mate mate be you do . And it can also detect smoke from heated wires . But hey if it’s not your thing then it’s not your thing .
@@UrbanVanlife I'd hope my fuses went before the smoke as the cables are over sized and rated at 200c. I do have an extractor fan in my cooker hud for the vape and also a smoke and carbon alarm. I'll take my chances without the WiFi 😉

Can it be turned off with the app ? When we leave the dogs in the van they get demented if our battery goes low so we take the batteries out when we go out without them. Ps they ran away when you tested the smoke detector 🥵
Dogs were not with me when I did the video mate . And even more reason to NOT take the batteries out when the dogs are in the van . An early warning system my save there lives
If your in the van every one should have one but while your away from it not going to help .
If your away from the van and you get an alert from something that’s cooing or you forget about something that’s turned on then that’s going to be the difference between your van, going on fire and five minutes and you preventing it so I’d say that’s 100% going to help
