To awnser the question you asked at the end of the video: Yes, I would be highly interested in one or more videos on the modern/more recent eara of AI chess
In a little over a decade and a half, we went from Sargon, which could take up to half an hour to make a move and play at a strictly intermediate level, to WChess, Fritz, and Deep Blue beating nearly everybody. So yeah, I think I can sympathize with Kasparov being shocked.
Any educational ASMR is great but this channel gets it right every single time. Reminds me of French Whisperer. Absolutely wonderful to listen to while doing other tasks. Keep it up!
I would love an episode 2 of this series about the modern era of computer chess! I usually don’t comment videos but this one was so well made and interesting I just had to ask for more! I love your channel and wish you the best !
amazing video! regarding your question at 32:00 i personally would love a video explaining the math behind computer chess algorithms! that kind of nerdy stuff makes my engineer mind tingle
An incredibly ambitious and impressive effort. Well researched and nice production values. I’ve been following this channel for some time and it’s great to see how you’ve grown. Well done.
I feel like the absolute genius of these ai is taken for granted and not fully understood. The reason some games may look conventionally "boring", which is a complaint I have commonly heard, is that they are so stupidly good now that the ideas you see were founded 55 moves in advance. It's an awe inspiring thing, really! Please cover more, thank you!
Building chess programs was one of the most interesting and funny things I did while learning to program. And then putting them up against programs of others or different programs against different players is a very good way to learn more about it
This is the first sort of documentary that I have watched that I have not been required to watch from school. Even though I probably won't remember anything from this video it was still very enjoyable to watch in the moment and was indeed very interesting.
great video. ive been waiting for your return. this was so good, and i know you put a ton of work into this. that rook endgame bot was so cool. you are my favorite youtuber
I love the quality of your work! Never thought chess and asmr could mix so well together, being an avid chess player this channel us been a delight to come across. Thank you so much, it’s clear you put a lot of effort into this video and most of your content in general.
Great to see another video from you! This is absolutely brilliant and very well researched; I very much enjoyed listening to this as I was doing my classwork. I look forward to seeing more of your chess content!
I never liked male asmr until I heard you and Antarctica. There’s something intrinsically different going on there, and these videos have really helped me to get through stressful days, as well as disbursing some chess in a busy one. Love your work and very thankful for the drop.
So glad to see you uploading again, I absolutely love this channel and have been binging and learning from this video every evening and night. I love your opening videos especially. Keep doing what you're doing :)
Thanks so much for another AMAZING video! Computer chess is a much older and more complex subject than I could have imagined. Would love to hear more about the concept of move pruning as well!
Wow, what a well put-together video. Impressive even by your usual high standards! Hope you had a lovely holiday/new year period. Would definitely be interested in hearing more on this topic, if it's not too much work to put together.
You know you create great videos when you can get somebody like me who can barely play chess so fascinated by this topic that I definitely would like the sequel to it (AI chess)! Thanks for another awesome video!
You are my favourite youtuber so there ain't surprise, this video is a masterpiece. And yes, I would love a video where you explain us the math behind move pruning!!
Is this the real History Channel?? Great job with the…what is it called, filmography? The visuals made it all the more fascinating. Good quality video! Not to mention super tingly. I like how you change the speed of your voice or go between soft spoken and whispers. That’s my favorite. Bravo!
Wow this was great, so original. I would love to see a part 2, especially since AlphaZero is the most fascinating part in computer chess history for me. I would also like to see if Leela/LeelaZero will make an appearance, as it and Stockfish have had some competition
This was the most beautiful video! Great content, so relaxing, and I loved the intro, too. I like, also, how your promotion was not too imposing in style, Super well done!🥰
Ey Secret Scholar is here! So cool you watched the video! I am happy you liked it. Sponsored segments are tricky aren’t they? I have all these points I have to hit from the contract but I still want to make it as much a part of the video as possible - or as non disruptive as I can rather.
I'm so happy to see you back that I've actually liked, commented (right here) and favourited (already subscribed, so I had to do another 3rd thing). I've missed your content so much!
One more comment asking for the "second part" of this documentary. My favorite video of ASMR in RUclips and it's also very interesting and educational.
I am so glad you came back mate, your voice is one of the very few I find extremely soothing and relaxing. I would love to hear the mathematical explanation and also, please consider making a whispering only video, I'm positive it would put everyone to sleep in no time!
the interesting thing about the ending part is that despite stockfish grew stronger and right now is better than alpha over all, the alpha zero can still win some games as white against it just because they take different approach and it just depends on what kind of position they make out of opening. but yeah, stockfish is just unbeatable defender and when you give it slight advantage it just wins. i made an experiment when i was analysing my openings with this bot and it took me like over 2 hours of constant trying over like 10 moves combinations, to finally break it with 1 move so it was like "wtf, how did you human get +3 position against me without any help and i can't even draw with you anymore". the most valuable for me was just that i really understood my opening from that moment, because for real its ability to equalise and draw everything is just painful to beat and i don't think i would have any chance in real game without backing my moves, especially as black. (also my elo doesn't speak for me, like 1600 with literally like 6/7 month of experience with our wonderful board game xD) but i totally recomend doing such experiments if you are patient enough, cuz you'll seriously start beating everything that used to be on your level after you lose and draw agains this thing few dozens times.
@@rayvaasatlotld9357 it was about 10-20th move, but i can look for it again later. It was something in catalan. Stockfish tends to be confused about those setups.
