This was really a great storyline
Maybe there will be a sequel where Groot goes to visit his kids (the trees) and takes vengeance on Zeus for having destroyed them.
Olympians don't get much attention in Marvel. Same with Asgardians in DC. Zeus has become a jobber and dies too much.
I agree. Isn’t he supposed to be equal to ODIN in terms of power? It seems that Odin is leagues ABOVE him!
I have the Masters of Evil and this series. Thor had been scarred in a battle with Hela hench the beard but have left the Avengers prior to that. His replacement Hercules while just as strong had a problem taking orders from Wasp and then Captain Marvel. So much so it caused him to be in such as state where he was beaten into a coma (Olympians can be wounded in battle but can't die by conventional means). I didn't like the fact that Hela made Thors bones brittle, unable to heal and made him unkillable in battle. He would've been able to put up a better fight against Zeus.
I have that issue. :) They don't call him Zeus for nothing. The sky father didn't realize who he was hurting until it was nearly too late. That's what stopped the battle.
I had this book when it first came out Zeus is no joke when he decides to take matters into his own hands.
I still wonder what a fight between Zeus and Odin would be like.

@ensabahnur7657 When it comes to raw mystical power maybe, but when was the last time you actually saw Odin get physical other than the time he backhanded Thor for disrespting him and the time he headbutted Galactus which gave him a big time headache to the point where he had to go into the Odin sleep to recover?
What I like about Zeus he don't mind dishing out an ass whooping every now and then.
There was a Thor annual in the 70s or early 80s where there was a war between Olympus and Asgard.

I almost didn’t recognize Zeus because he wasn’t a jobber in this issue. First time I read it I was like “that bearded guy is powerful but when is the Zeus fight starting?”
I didn't realize him and Her were Redbeards.
I miss Marvel's old style of art. I think that's why I stopped buying the books. Masters like Johns Buscema, Don Heck, Tom Palmer, John Romita and JR. jammed so much great art and story telling into a single page, it was like xmas opening a new book each month. Today's anime inspire art just doesn't have the same impact for me.

Goliath who at his largest size has the same strength as Thor and Hercules. He softened up Herc and then the other heavy hitters Mister Hyde and the Wrecking Crew finished him off.
