  • We work on passing, cutting and replacing in this drill.
You need to be in triple threat when you catch the ball so you can pass, shoot or drive. Moving as fast as you can looking for the ball is one of the most important components of this drill.

What are the players doing before hitting half-court? Is there any passing before half-court (3-man weave) or does the middle player handle the ball all the way until he makes his first wing pass around half-court? I am going to use this drill with my 4th graders because it shows the player that they can initiate the pass, cut, and replace early in transition before the defense is set up rather than waiting for the full 5-out formation to be in place.

Great question. I was wondering the same thing and I’m also want to use this out of transition with 4th grade boys
