The food lovers dream that's The Foodies.
"Foodies" is a term used to describe individuals who have a passionate and enthusiastic interest in food. These individuals aren't just casual eaters; they consider food an art form and a way of life. Foodies are not only interested in the act of eating but also in exploring, appreciating, and critiquing different types of cuisine, cooking techniques, and food culture.
    Characteristics of Foodies:
Adventurous Eaters: Foodies are open to trying new and diverse foods, even if they might be considered exotic or unfamiliar to others. They enjoy exploring various flavors, textures, and culinary experiences.
Appreciation for Quality: Foodies appreciate high-quality ingredients and often seek out restaurants, cafes, and markets that prioritize fresh, locally-sourced, and sustainable produce.
Culinary Knowledge: Foodies tend to possess significant knowledge about cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods. They might also follow food blogs, watch cooking shows, or read food-related books and magazines to deepen their understanding.
Restaurant Connoisseurs: Foodies are known for their love of dining out and often have a list of must-visit restaurants and eateries. They may also share their dining experiences and recommendations with friends and fellow food enthusiasts.
Social Media Presence: Many foodies share their culinary experiences on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and food-related blogs. They often take photos of their meals and dishes to showcase the artistry of the food.
Participating in Food Events: Foodies enjoy attending food festivals, cooking classes, and other culinary events that allow them to indulge in their passion and connect with like-minded individuals.
Home Cooking Enthusiasts: Foodies not only appreciate restaurant cuisine but also enjoy cooking at home. They experiment with recipes, try different cooking styles, and take pride in preparing delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Food Critics: Foodies may develop a discerning palate and be capable of critiquing the taste, presentation, and overall experience of the food they eat. They often share their opinions and recommendations with others.
Cultural Appreciation: Foodies have a deep respect for food culture from around the world. They appreciate the diversity of culinary traditions and enjoy exploring cuisines from different regions and countries.
Food as an Experience: For foodies, eating is not just about satisfying hunger; it's an experience to be savored, shared, and celebrated.
Overall, foodies play an essential role in promoting and supporting culinary creativity and innovation while embracing the cultural significance of food in our lives.

I know Waitrose is expensive but your shopping trip brought back memories of our UK holiday this year. We usually shopped at Tesco, Sainsbury or Morrisons. One thing we did notice, wherever we shopped, was that the variety in UK supermarkets is much better than here in Adelaide. Very disappointing with those mince pies guys considering what you paid for them !
Aren't Waitrose supposed to be the Premium supermarket? Or is that just in price not quality? Great to see Tracy out 'n' about again. Talking about singing wrong lyrics to songs, Jane had me in stitches when she was singing the song "Where do you go to my lovely" by Peter Sarstedt (Google it if you've not heard it). There's a line in that song that goes, " you sip your Napoleon brandy" but Jane was singing, "you dip your nipples in brandy" LOL

Hi Robbie & Jane , yes Waitrose is a premium shop … it might be able to redeem itself … you’ll have to wait and see 🤔😂😂
Oh that has made us laugh 😂😂 haha

What I'm noticing in ALL supermarkets is that many sausages now have "alginate" (from algae) casings and these are really, really disgusting - totally ruin the sausages. However, if you shop around, you can find traditional sausages, with "pork casings" (or simliar words). So, if you're in a supermarket, do check the sausage ingredients on the back, to make sure you get the nice ones!!! (I just had to throw out 5 packs of Sainsbury's sausages and I wrote a scathing review on their website about them.)

I like Waitrose, normally in Canary Wharf & Stratford Westfield next to Olympic Park. Only been in a few times, plus Kensington High Street (after Sainsburys/Tesco vanished) for a snack. Food is better quality than Asda
I'm going after Howie's Haggis in Tesco for £2.50 end Dec. Gonna drag a load of goodies back from Dudley. I've done a main shop there once & I wasn't impressed with the quality of the pastries/desserts

HA HA, Colin making the piles in the kitchen!!! "rubbish pile, good pile, DOUBLE GOOD pile" And then Tracy starts switching the piles around.

This was an interesting shop, some things seemed really expensive for some things.
You two with your banter are so funny 😂 Home back to your place. Colin so funny putting food into categories, lol! 🤣
Mince pie. Filling sparse, nothing special. Don't diss those lemons, lol! 😂 Mice pies not good. 😶
You two appreciate good food and are always honest. 🥰
