Imagine the most expensive fursuit is made out of wolf fur, pure gold and diamonds
I believe those prices are very high, and I probably wouldn’t get it myself, but it’s amazing how others can do it!
Apparently it’s also likely that in the near future people will be also purchasing expensive fursuits as investments with the intention to make a sizeable profit by auctioning them off for a higher price a few years later! However this would generally only be viable for extremely well known and popular fandom members so their old suits could be worth more then the original commission price after a few years because of how popular the owner and their OC are but it can also be from the suit being pre-made and being extremely famous for having a specific design! :)
I can totally see this for suits like Telephone being auctioned off
@@chumii5678
It could of also been the case for OdinWolf’s first fursuit if he decided to auction it off instead of destroying it so it’s sort of a shame he destroyed it as it would of been quite interesting to see how much it would action off for and how much more it would action off for a few years later when the second owner puts it up for action! :)
The truth is most suits actually lose their value over time, not gain value or is really a good investment? Foam and fur do degrade over time especially if it's worn (which it would have to be for them to become a popular character? You can't really get away with having a popular character that sits on a shelf for a few years never to be seen?) and most need to be refurbished after a few years even if they are incredible quality made suits. Things like fur, foam, glue, eyes, materials, ect are also constantly getting better as time goes on too out dating old materials used in older suits.
Aka don't "invest" in a suit expecting it to gain value. That's dumb. It should mainly hold value to the owner of it.
@@3amhellbeast
I guess in that case it could also depend on if the ownership of a character is linked to the suit or not as if the full rights to the character were sold with and linked to the suit then maybe it’s value might increase over time if the character was originally created by an extremely famous creator and things that were made by that creator manage to continue to remain in high demand beyond the time the original character creator goes into retirement. Another thing that could make it’s value increase over time is if the suit was a direct part of a highly historically significant creative production like a highly successful movie or live action show for example but that would probably only happen if a group from the furry community managed to achieve a massive amount of mainstream cultural significance and success through a popular live action show/movie! :)
Why... $50000... you could get a very nice car for that amount
Yeah
But what about a very nice fursuit
@@watermelonaj6307 FEED THE HOMELESS
@@briananeuraysem3321 lol
I mean the amount of time it takes too make something like this it can take nearly a year to make a suit of this quality and don’t forget the material to make the suit you would expect someone too pay a lot of money for it
honestly that made fur u one was meh for the price there’s definitely more color accurate fur for the character they could’ve done but they went with more of dark greens? Which is kinda weird but maybe the commissioner wanted it so can’t bash hard w/o knowing
Yo if telephone was sold imagine how insane that auction would be?? Damn I’d sell telephone too tho if I knew how crazy auctions were and be set for life lol
its somewhat sad to see people spending all this money on an auction for something they could have made custom for much less. that extra 50k could be going to charities to help people, but its being spent on costumes.
Exactly my thought!
It all is so very interesting!
I think it's great that artists get so much for their work. I mean, look at paintings and how much they cost, often in the thousands, and painting supplies don't cost hundreds before even making it. In my experience and research as a new maker, most of the time enough fur and foam for a fullsuit would cost $200-$600 depending on style and colours. Then factor in that these things take hours and hours to make, at least one week of full time work, often even months. While I'd never charge that, most fursuit makers do undercharge for how much time and effort goes into it. Most of these things are sewn by hand, and that's a lot of work.
High quality paints do cost in the hundreds if you do not want it to fraid with in a few years of you getting it. Look up the cost of brushes, paint, canvas and time on top of that and see it can be a expensive unless you buy student grade paint and supplies.
Oh lol that’s my suit in the thumbnail 🤣
Im gonna guy a custom fursuit and its gonna be my first time purchasing one. Im gonna get a galaxy wolf fursuit
50 grand... that is about the same price as a new Ford F-350.
I want all the fur suits XD
Too bad I’m too young to buy any TvT
Seether Cord NFT'S when?????
50k you can buy a down payment on a god damn house-
money are supposed be burned if you arent having issue with first need goods like humans arent like cattle that can just sit in theirs cave getting food and water and be happy with that
Okay, 50K for a fursuit?
That is bizarre for anyone to bid on
I personally don't understand how the prices on some of these got so high, since they look pretty much like any high quality suit that costs around 3000 - 4000 dollars. Recently the maker Beauty And The Bass had their commissions open, and they make incredible detailed and unique suits, and if I were to commission one from them with my character it would have been around 5000 dollars. Which is lower then the lowest one on this list. I mean, people are allowed to do with their money what they want, but damn I really don't get it.
Some do it for bragging and others do it because they really love a certain maker and sometimes bidding is the only way to get the oportunity to get a fursuit from them.
I got lost at the word expensive.
Its been a while since I seen one of your videos
0:01 intro legends
I searched for this in 2015 but find nothing
I always fought the most expensive fursuit was gone be with 24kart gold and diamonds and robbies
I mean there must be some rich guy that once some part of he's suit to like that?!
50k is like a whole fucking apartment
What ever the prices are for these I’d pay way more for fish stuff
I feel like it can be hard to judge when money is involved. On one hand, kudos to the makers that were able to get so much for a suit. But I honestly think it is absolutely ridiculous prices!
I know it’s not exactly the same, but I don’t think I will ever get rich people who spend tens of thousands even millions money on weird or outright ugly items (ugly art, uncomfortable furniture, NFTs etc). People can do whatever they want with their money, but there’s always a part of me that’s like “People are dying, and starving, and this is what you choose to spend all your money on, huh?”.
I know that some artists will add an “Instant Buy” price for adoptables so that it doesn’t get totally out of hand. You could do that with suits as well. But again, no hate towards the maker/seller.
This blows my mind, majority of the suits you showed (excluding the wolf) didn't even look that good. Can't stand the big goofy fursuits with giant eyes that look unrealistic. I liked the look of the wolf, or look up Beretta-DarkWolf, his mask looks amazing and far better than these other ones.
I think that's more an opinion though. I personally think rhe suits look gorgeous! The stylization makes them so unique, and therefore more one of a kind than realistic suits. Not that realistic suits aren't beautiful. I just think that that kinda fursuit shaming is mean
4th
Seeing this, I just hope that by the time I can afford one (in around 2023 / 2024) there are still decent full fursuits priced at around the "US$ 3K - 4K, maybe 5K at most" range ...
I mean, kudos to the ones able to splurge that much money into stuff like this. I don't think I'll ever consider buying a fursuit for that much tho considering the trash currency where I live - Obviously not my fault that my parents have the citizenship of this s------e country with the world's 4th weakest currency now.
There are some fursuit makers that are willing to make fursuits for under 2K.
Or you could buy an used fursuit from TheDealersDen website.
In my opinion, I think that if someone wants to buy an expensive fursuit, it can go for it, the consequences would be present.
Consequences?
@Tony Hinshaw Thank you!
@@KhramChee they can easily get faded, damaged, stolen and will just fall apart over time due to the materials used.
@Tony Hinshaw you not getting what he saying the consequences would be bills loans has to be paid back and many more
no furry hater in the comment my faith in humanity as been restored
ya allah
Im the first on the video!!!
I'll say it again, fur/scale suits are NOT worth it.
Why not?
Give me a good reason I can’t combat
I fully understand TBF - they are, in a way, "merely" one elaborate mascot costume. Moreover, there's the training required to do stuff with it + the handler & heat issues.
Most fursuiters, however, think of their suits as part of their identity & a way to bring their sonas into the real world. I'd say that there's no problem with your statement really - fursuits are not prerequisites in the community (though I'm still considering one)
@@trustweb99 shouldn’t be too bad after you mess around with it for a bit
And heat, I do Motorsports so it’s probably not gonna be an issue
