Pat Broderick is a great artist. I loved his work on Legion of Super-Heroes and Green Lantern.
I read a smattering of the 2099 issues, but the only title I read in its entirety was X-Men 2099, also by John F Moore. This was around the time I left comics for a few years, which is probably why I didn't read a lot of the 2099 line.

Sadly in my small town, comic shops couldn't stay open to save their lives. So whatever knowledge I could obtain was from Wizard. Was how I first learned about Spawn and Pitt

@@ChrisMacPresents I live in a small town too. I've always had to drive out of town to get to a comic shop. Wizard was a great magazine when it first started out. Like you say, it was really useful in the world before the internet.

      Good review 👍
This was a great series. John Francis Moore was a very skilled writer. Later during his run on X-Force he was able to connect stories and characters from his 2099 books ( X-Men 2099 and Doom 2099) with stories from Age of Apocalypse and fit them into the 616 timeline. Brilliant. This was by far the best 2099 title ( Spider-Man 2099 is a very close second). Issues # 5-9 lost their way a bit but by issue #10 everything was perfect again.

@@afroscifizianzcomix7836 I miss when creators were meticulous like this and had fun doing it. It was exciting to see how things tied together and made you wait with anticipation for the next event

@ChrisMacPresents Yes. There is something missing from most modern comics. Thers doesn't seem to be any passion. I get the feeling many comic writers today are not very literate and take most of their influences from movies and tv.
Reading actual books has gone out of style I guess. Every issue of Doom 2099 ended with a quote from a poem. You just don't see that these days. I hope you track down all the issues of Doom 2099. It gets spectacular when When Warren Ellis starts writing. I will be watching your reviews 👍👌
