  • Introducing the all-new MK3 Rail Square ULTRA, a game-changer in precision cutting and woodworking. In today's market, there's a multitude of track saw options to choose from. Having sold over 12,000 units of our MK2 rail square, we've closely observed the needs of craftsmen and woodworking enthusiasts. What we discovered is that many individuals possess multiple track saws and varying track lengths, making it challenging to find a versatile and compatible rail square. Recognising this substantial demand, we embarked on a mission over the past few months to provide a comprehensive solution to this problem.
    We're proud to introduce the MK3 Rail Square ULTRA, a single rail square that harmoniously works with some of the most popular track saw brands. Say goodbye to the hassle of switching between rail squares for different saws and tracks. Our ULTRA square is designed to offer seamless compatibility with the following tracks:
    * Festool
    * Makita
    * Milwaukee
    * Dewalt
    * Mafell
    * Bosch
    * Erbauer
    * Flex
    * Kreg ACS
    * Triton
    * Excel
    But we didn't stop there with just the ULTRA. We've taken the concept to the next level with the ULTRA MAX Extender. This ingenious addition extends your rail square by an impressive 340mm, providing you with that extra reference edge you need when tackling larger sheets and extensive projects. The ULTRA MAX Extender empowers you to take your woodworking to new dimensions, ensuring precision and efficiency in every cut.
    So, if you're tired of juggling multiple rail squares and want a versatile solution that works seamlessly with your collection of track saws, look no further than the MK3 Rail Square ULTRA. With the ULTRA MAX Extender, you'll have everything you need to take on projects of any size with confidence and precision. Discover the future of woodworking with the ULTRA series - your go-to solution for precision and versatility. Explore this remarkable innovation today.

    Could you add a bevel to the side facing the material and add ruler markings?
    Likely couldn't add numbers due to all the different saw clamping method but it'd be handy in a pinch to line up with a marking on a board

    • @ralphmignano215

      The markings are a good idea which is why we have the repeat stop, all tracks are slightly different sizes so the repeat stop is the better option as it calibrates to the track.

      @f.kieranfinney457 11 месяцев назад +3

      The cams are completely useless. It’s a really well made otherwise and a precise square but useless cause it slides with the slightest pressure. They should give Mk2 owners a huge discount on this new one. I’ll never buy anything else they make because of it.

      @@f.kieranfinney457 I wouldn't say useless. We have many customers with the rail square and love it, but we have noticed that the extruded tracks are not the most accurate pieces of equipment. You'll be surprised what 0.05mm will do and the tolerances we have had to deal with, hence why the butterfly clip which pulls the track to the reference edge .

      @@Benchdogtools if the cams had been made adjustable it wouldn’t matter. Just a little slot to slide the cam closer.
      The irony is I looked at the butterfly clamped types and thought cams should be better. Jokes on us. The only feature that IS useful is the adjustable stability tab and now it’s gone.
      Why even sell something you knew had issues with tolerances you understood to be problematic? Letting your customers beta test or just soak up the flawed R&D costs is a pretty shitty way to do business.
      “We knew it didn’t always work but sold it anyway”. Thanks.
      MkII owners should get a massive discount if they’re dumb enough to buy another product from you.

    Good to have a system that can be used with many different systems so that you can change.
    If you were to put a dog position in the extension piece you could use it to cut 22.5 degree. If there was a slot into which you could clamp a dog you could repeatably cut a range of angles.

Unfortunately Benchdogs doesn't accept American Express credit card and the shipping to the the United States was $66. @@samsonacc8081 the Mk2 uses cams to lock the rail on. They don’t hold. Just a slight tug , which you HAVE to do to set the rail square, and it slips. Really not happy about having to shell out £140ish (with taxes) to the UK?? I live 2 hours down the road from where you ship from for gods sake. How can you charge £99 and screw the UK buyers with unnecessary taxes?

    • @Benchdogtools
      @Benchdogtools  9 месяцев назад +3

      Do you know everyone has to pay VAT? If we export the country where we ship to also pays taxes when they receive it. If you care to read to website where it states that we only display prices without vat and it will be added into the cart. No matter how we display it you will always pay the same price. £99 plus vat £118.80. You also have to pay VAT on shipping. Unfortunately not our decision it’s the government. We will be changing the way our website works in the new year to show prices inc VAT so not to confuse.
