  • Replacing the brake pads on my 2013 Porsche Boxster. The pads I installed were Brembo pads bought off eBay ~$150 with sensors. Pretty simple to do and save yourself a lot of money. Please like, comment, and subscribe!

Okay after following the video just a few notes. Do not use screw driver to pry open the brake pads against the rotor @11:36 it will scratch them!! The brake pad cleaner from walmart specifically says not to use it on painted* calipers. Other than that it was pretty simple!

I have a 2014 981 with about 25k miles. The local shop wants to replace the rotors, brake pads, brake sensors, and caliper bolts. My daughter lightly drives the car, is it necessary to replace all of that or just the pads and sensors? Please advise.

I would say replace the pads and sensors, bolts too if they require it for the service(bolts should only be a few bucks but they want to take as much money as they can). I had 32k miles and drive it hard and my rotors were fine. Just needed cleaning by getting the holes cleared out for proper cooling. They just want your $!
