well, this is from their first episode, right? the actors who were in that episode clearly remember it, and fall right back into the roles, so they are acting so believably, even though it's just for a reading, they are all so excellent! Tom and Lauren have such chemistry together! Tom is able to project his lucifer-ness through even casual throwaway dialogue, so amazing to watch! And the other cast are clearly having such fun!

honestly, I have so much respect for these actors. Not only are table reads awkwardly, in general, online acting over screens can also feel unnatural. They delivered this scene perfectly and I truly saw the story in my mind. They recreated it with such poise and clarity and it just proves how talented they are.
....also this is hilarious
As an actor who did acting online for over a year, I can confirm it is extremely different and awkward.

Same! Caught the first episode on a flight back home from Seattle after the first season had aired and was hooked immediately. Caught up on the rest and was in love by the time the second season started.

I find her the weakest link of the cast. Maybe it is because Chloe is boring most of the time. Tom carries the show on his own, with an amazing supporting cast, which is not a good thing for Lauren. She is not a strong protagonist. I liked her better in Hawaii Five O. My opinion.

Even though this is not an act on set, the fact that Tom took his role seriously in this is amazing. Lauren and tom switching roles was funny af! 😂😂 I died during the whole thing. And inbar's version of dan was quite hilarious too. I love that all of them who weren't in season 1 got to enact the guest stars roles. Wish kevin and scarlet were here though, the cast would have been complete

When you’re an actor you have to do things besides act on set. You have to do promotion whether you have social anxiety or not.

Tom has every line memorized which is hard. Of course, they all do and all are wonderful. Tom really has the lines down and is full on acting in the table read.
My favorite thing is Dennis Haysbert geeking out and knowing what was and wasn't in the aired pilot.

It's interesting to see little changes in the show vs script. For example, song in the first scene of the Pilot is not rolling stones, but Cage the Elephant Ain't No Rest for the Wicked. Imo they've made fantastic work with the show. It'll be always # 1 in my heart.

tom literally is lucifer lol, feels like it just naturally comes from him more than it does him reading off a script... couldn’t imagine anyone else playing that character, he’s such a natural actor and that part was tailor made for him!
miss this show so much, if there’s any one i could singlehandedly bring back on air lucifer is it. would love to see them do like a broadway play, similar to the musical episode. that’d be fire.

While Lauren (even when a role switch ) can make everyone laugh with her goofy Lucifer acting (she took goofiness of Lucifer and took it up a notch to make everyone laugh)
Such an amazing chemistry. You can give them any role and they’ll do amazing at it .

This was fantastic. My face hurts from laughing. From Inbar reading Dan, Tom reading Chloe and Lauren doing a HILARIOUS Lucifer impression, this was such a gift. Loved Ildy and Joe's narrations.

That was adorable! Everyone was loving it! Tom was fantastic as always, almost never breaking, at least during his own lines. Lauren was hysterical! Also Eve, coming in clutch with all the odd men's parts lol.

A lot of fun, especially the role reversal bit and Inbar's version of Jimmy. The one change I would have made was to get Aimee to play Trixie's part, complete with full-on toothless lisp. "What'th a hooker?"
