Sure it’s a lovely idea, but think about how David put it here. The dragons we see and the dreams we hear Targaryens have, have their origin in Valyria. But all of this is just a fragment of what Valyria was like, just generally. How can you fit all that in? I think it's deliberately unwieldy as a story setting.
Yes I suppose it's a comment on how the legacy of Greece and Rome is one of great positivity - art, law, science, literature, the higher things. Like the secrets of Valyrian steel making being lost. But the very significant dark sides are perhaps overlooked. Especially the Romans, and Sparta.
There are 3 surviving ancient valyrian families the Targaryens, the Velaryons and the Celtigars. Since Dragonstone, Driftmark and Clawisland are so close to each other I am excited to see a member of that family.

Hadn’t thought of that with the skulls being kept as religious relics but yeah I remember in the first teaser daemon says gods when the clip Is showing a dragon skull so I imagine they do hold them in reverence
They can go the way like the Netflix series Arcane was done. This was very nice done and opened the door to a big lore and world with ofcourse without losing some nice storytelling

"She heard a voice that made her jump but saw no one" it told her when to cross the courtyard after (before) she killed the stable boy in the first book. She then hears voices in the tree when at harrenhall.
