I didn't realize how fast this mech could dump ammo into a target till now lol wow.
It identifies as an AH-64 with dual GAU-8's. That hovering ability without out the reticle shake is NICE. I love my RAC's and this looks like my new RAC Mech. The MAD-3R has been my standard and my bully mech most of the time. The Apache might get the name "Animal Mother" like the rest of my RAC Monsters I have. Great watch, Phil. I was hoping you would add the mech lab details of the mech such as hard points and such, overall seems like a really fun mech to use.
Its close to the stock loadout, these 2 hovering mechs are quite the one trick ponies if you follow the quirks, compare speed / ammo and make it exact the same ^^ Heat Shieldning from JJ and such are nice nodes to test the difference with on this one ^_^
Damn this looks more like Zombie Gunship than MWO. The Apache looks pretty cool.

I'm loving these new pinata mechs, they just hang here while you beat them until the goodies fall out.
I played a match recently where there were 3 of them hovering there. I ran, it was a bit intimidating. I didn't want to be tip of the spear on that day
I really hope it doesn't get nerfed. I have been loving flying. It works extremely well in flight squadrons or even with just one wingman but also solo. Opens up so many angles to shoot from. Had the most fun playing this game in a long time on release day flying with b33f, MPG, and Hat. Needs a third RAC in the nose GAU-8 style or on an Apache style gun mount

@griffingamer8624 do not like the animation style forgot the name I prefer the classic look also mwo looks and feels off to me ...I really hope MW5clans is great but have low expectations after MW5....also there better be battlearmor/elementals/infantry in the game(there will not be).I am thrilled to see that there is now aerospace included about time,also why the same vtol ?? I know there are many many vtols in the BT universe.please give me some more...also I would like to pilot tanks aeros vtols hovers and Artillery at least in instant action .......also I am sure after pgi there will be others to continue this illustrious and beautiful Universe SEYLA!!!!

The funniest part in match 1 is that you really should not let the RACs jam like that over and over with the amazing cooldown, got a coolshot and 100 shots left, can reach 1500 dmg prob. ;D Guess the Cooldown is the best to nerf as to not remove the small moments of joy that the other aspects bring!

I think this might be Phil's first real Champion video. This Apache seems so gnarly but in a goofy way. I dont really like the wing stuff esthetically, but hover mechs I can get into so long as they dont go full on Gundam Transformers.
When my friends told me about the hover tech, I pictured mech-tanks that hovered like the jedi tank from star wars lmao
just needs a sound pack to make it sound like the GAU-8 Avenger
2x Rac5 is insane.
Anything else just sucks (e.g. 2x rac2, 2x mrm10 2x mxpl to be more of a chopper build)
Also for the Phantom hawk, would range+cd be enough to push it to decent dps?

yes they work. it's straight stupid fun. i like to spin 360's while i JJ across streets and such at the beginning of matches to amp up the team.

That's ridiculous. First game, 3 Apaches on the field. Phil does more than twice as much damage as the other two combined.
The one drawback seems to be that it doesn't really seem able to gain altitude.

I think it's PGI experimenting with how jump jets can work in MW. They were always weakest part when compared to how they work in the lore.

Nope. At least with Partial Wing Mechs, they free target practice for your LRMs. A Lance of Pirahnas are still annoying little anklebitters. I'd rather take shooting clay pigeons over annoying lights anyday in MWO.
