It does help when a band member writes the music themselves and considers that the lead singer has a different style to himself so therefore he'll write it in such a way that it can either be a rock anthem or a slow acoustic tune.

You will have a completely different experience if you watch Noel’s performance of Slide Away (Chicago 1998). Completely solo acoustic in front of 25,000. He transcends on another level in an almost out of body experience. Worth witnessing.

When you hear the studio version with Liam singing and then hear the acoustic version with Noel singing, it really is night and day of how a song is sung by two completely different styles, but still being fantastic in their own way. I always prefer Noel's version because Slide Away was always meant to be an intimate song.

To be honest as a Brit in his 50s,I think,Oasis are ok at best,but not really much stage presence,no interaction with their audience and something always seems missing..I don't get this obsession with the Beatles as I don't rate them either,now that would be taken as controversial by many.🙄
