You have done some good research, visiting some local gems in Oslo.

Thank you! Did we miss anything? We’ll need to plan a second visit and be sure to include it!

Must - trY- food from Oslo and Oslo, Why didn't someone make a Must -Try-Food fromRørosand a video about this place? The plant world/geologically this place is amazing. Former glacier or the leftover of it/hvit sand beach, leftover after copper mining...!

We’d love to hit the road and explore the villages a bit. I’m sure it’s a different world from the big cities! With only 48 hours, we had to stick to one major city this time, but next time - more ☺️

Protip: Sometimes the background music covers your words. I say don’t use music all through. Just use some vignettes of a few seconds to transition etc. Speaking as someone who really struggles when there is background music.

We certainly don’t want anyone to struggle to enjoy a video. Thank you for bringing that to our attention 😊

@baldrbraa I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate your time not just in watching but engaging as well. We like making videos, and we have several in the pipeline to edit and post. This trip was our first really taking a shot with recording, and we didn’t have mics at the time. Still, post production sound design can be mindfully designed.
      We learn and we grow!

You should have dropped the bread and gone for double lumpe instead. Bread flattens the taste.

I didn’t know that was an option! I can definitely see that being a good thing. Sounds like this will be on our list when we visit for a proper stay in Norway. 48 hours was not enough!

trust me, you didnt miss out on the Hiroshima okonomiyaki, that one is not great.
and i do prefere Hiroshima over Osaka style.

    • @AwayWithTheMays
      @AwayWithTheMays  Месяц назад

Yessss a believer! Hiroshima style all the way! To be honest, it didn’t look all that great impressive once I got to the stall. I usually try to find it in every big city we go to. A lot of swings, a lot of misses.

@@AwayWithTheMays i know that feel, i do that with Carbonara, always fun testing out other countries take on it.
And yeah not a fan of street food hall in Oslo myself, very lack lusting and very expensive.

    It is not a by-product.

I’m no expert on cheese, but it is my understanding that whey is typically acquired as a byproduct of cheese production. Certainly brunost has a production process afterward and we did read up on that before recording. Just an ad-lib 😉

Norwegians dont use both 😊. Hotdog with bun or lefse

Oh wow! That’s how we were served so we figured that it was a ‘both’ thing. Which do you prefer?

Usually we don't at home no, but it's common at Syverkiosken.

@@AwayWithTheMays You didn't miss out on that much 😅 "homestyle" often just means boring. Using a lompe around the bread is actually not that bad of an idea if you have stuffed the hotdog with condiments.
