I just went on vacation for ten days and put my store on vacation mode, no sales allowed. I wanted to enjoy my vacation and not have to worry about dealing with buyers during that time. When I got back homr, I began listing at least ten items a day and my store activity was back to normal within a week.
USPS will purposely deny many claims. You have to be vigilant and appeal. Sometimes 2 appeals. They make it difficult before they payout any claim. Make the buyer ship the damaged item back. I've had USPS require me to bring in the item several times.
Great timing for this video. I just set a store coupon at 15% and have already seen a big increase in sales. Hoping to flush out my poor decisions from when I first started my store. HA!
Man, I did the thing where I sold something within minutes and wondered if I could have got more. It was a rare vintage NBA hat from the 90s but had a bit of musty smell (which I disclosed). Sounds like that can happen to all of us at times. Hope you're having a good week!
Hello. I've been selling on eBay for a long time, and I like listening to your videos and hearing your opinions and ideas on different topics. I just wanted to suggest the people that I create a category called non-sale listings for those listings that I obviously don't want to put on sale. I found it hard when you might have one item in one of your store categories that you don't want on sale but you want the rest to be on sale.n
My store is on sale mode until December. 15% off with a $5.00 coupon. I beginning to think watchers really don't buy. Got 50 watchers. Some are trying to get an even lower price with all the above. Most of my items are in the $20 range but I do have many that are over $50 to over $100. . Ebay say send offers. I am like they already have two. Not doing another one. What do you think?
@@justinresellsi find that some people are just watchers because they own the same item and want to see how much it sells for… haven’t found this out from a seller perspective, i just know because i do it myself 🤷🏼♂️😂 when questioning buyers, look in the mirror 😎👍🏻
Ebay buyers are just a bunch of entitled individuals specially below the 50 dollar margin. Amazon at least you don't have do deal with this hassle. I am now only focused on high ticket highly desirable unique clothing and I had no problems.
I saw that today. I e been thinking about what we’re going to do. eBay was showing that stores who do their suggested banner, logo, & video have a 26% higher conversion rate.
If your package is delivered after the last estimated delivery date, eBay goes back to see if there was an official acceptance scan within your handling window. A scan sheet scan will not count because it’s not an actual acceptance scan. Insisting in getting each package scanned is the best way to protect yourself from shipping defects! The internet is full of scan sheet-related descents to below standard!
I think you are incorrect about sell thru rates… You must include the sold in the total number assuming everything else is equal, because the sold were part of that 90-day active. Example; 10 active, 10 sold. This is 10 sold out of 20 that were active during that 90 day cycle, everything else being equal. So not 100% STR, but 50%. Please correct me off I’m wrong.
Yes that sounds right, though in this video I was not calculating a proper sell-thru rate, but talking about seeing 30 sold over the last 90 days, which is about 1 every 3 days on average (90 / 3). And with 120 currently listed, if no others were listed, it would take approximately 360 days (120 x 3) to sell the remainder of the active stock if demand remained constant.
I have best offer option on all of my listings. When doing a sale or coupon, do you, or would you remove the best offer option. Particularly for Black Friday but also as a general rule of thumb. Thanks for any advice you can give.
When you include items with the "Best Offer" option in an eBay sale event, buyers can still submit offers. However, any accepted offer will override the sale event discount. This means that if a buyer's offer is accepted, the sale event discount won't apply to that transaction.
I want to know the best way to advertise I have an actual eBay store. I’ve been selling since Jan and only have 35 followers. I put it out on FB and I do promotions all the time without much luck. How do you get people to even look ?

Did you advertise to past customers?

I have found that viewers and watchers are not a good indicator of how fast something will sell. Sell-through rate is a more accurate metric.

hey Justin, did you add a video to your store? eBay recommends doing so. I’m not sure what to show in it actually lol
didn't even know that was possible!

Do you mean that it doesn't count if you use the self-scan kiosk at the Post Office?

Fair enough!
I’m not sure why I thought I heard an incorrect STR in there. Imagining things.
Keep doing what you’re doing, and creating great content
I started a Black Friday Week sale event Monday 12am. and woke up to few sales. I may break a personal record today. 💰💰💰

Thanks, Justin
We've submitted claims to USPS at least twice with all required information including pictures of damage and they still denied us both times.
So weird! I have never had one denied.
@justinresells yeah I make signs and one of them was bent at about a 30 degree angle
Thanks
Thanks Justin
