Tools: First the tools you will need will be a rubber mallet, torque wrench, 4mm, 5mm, and 8mm, Allen heads, and a long rod or screw driver of some sorts in order to remove the star nut.
To begin installing your warp 9 stem lock, remove the rubber cap on the top of your steering tube.
Using the Allen unbolt the the top cap
Mark your bar mount alignment with your steering tube to keep your aliment when you go to retighten it.
Lossen the bar mount bolts with the 5mm Allen
Next looosen the top triple clamp bolt
Unbolt the 3 bolts to your fender and remove your front fender.
Now its time to remove the star nut,
Take your long rod and rubber mallet and begin to pound the star nut down the steering tube
You will pound all the way through so make sure to have a long enough rod,
Pound until your oem star nut pops out the bottom of the steering tube, it should look like this.
Now take your warp 9 stem lock and apply the anti seize provided to the threads of the stem lock
depending on your bar mount make sure to use your hight spacers and Place your stem lock down the steering tube, while also inserting the stem lock bolt up the bottom part of the tube and begin to thread them together by hand
make sure your stem lock cap is aligned where you like it before tightening
Now tighten the stem lock bolt, make sure not to over tighten, this bolt can cause your steering to tighten or be too loose so make sure its to your liking.
Tighten your triple clamp bolt. Torque spec for this bolt is 11 nuton meters
Now realign your bar mount to ensure your mount is straight and then begin tightening your bar mount. The recombined torque on this one is 4 nuton meters
Now put your front fender back on.
Your warp 9 stem lock is now installed and you’re ready to go!

Don’t you have to cut a whole under the fender in order to put it on, because the stem lock bolt sticks out a bit at the bottom?
This is perfect! I was looking for just this! Thanks! You guys are awesome!
Glad we could help! 🔥🤘
Love all the tutorial vids!
Glad to hear it!
Hey let’s go! Great content!
Hey Thank you!!
@@StokedElectric no problem brother! Just started a channel myself!
uhh..you forgot the part whete you have to cut up your fender for it to fit again...
Will it work with direct stem mount?
Yes it will. You will just add the spacers that come with the Stem Lock to the steering tube.
@@StokedElectricwhat’s the steering tube?
@@StokedElectricwhere is it
Steer tube is the one that goes through the head tube of the frame
@@StokedElectric I cut my steerer tube down after I installed a direct stem. Will the Stem Lock still work with a shortened steerer tube? (only using a single 10mm spacer now.)
Should the wheel be in the air when installing this or on the ground?
In the air
I have an E Ride Pro SS and the alignment for the fender rear bolt no longer lines up. What did I do wrong?
I have a new stem coming in should I wait to do this or did you figure it out
Great video plz get a direct mount
Definitely next up on the list!
On Talaria mx4 I took off the old stem bolt and cap and beating the hell out of the star nut but it doesn't go down at all..
Did you put your purse down and hit it?
@@CadillacCoopdaville23 lol ye. Mallethead was too soft. Wasn't transferring much force
@@BalanceOvOppositeshell yeah. How’s it look? And feel?
@@CadillacCoopdaville23 lookin better, feelin better. Did the bars, direct mount, grips and stem lock so it just feels a lot more sturdy and locked in

What if stem lock doesn’t tighten all the way is steerer tube too long?
@@benhatchell1802 the bolt that goes through down the headset assembly doesn’t want to go too tight, as said in the video it will lock the bearings up and your front end will be stiff to turn. Tighten it enough that bars wont move independently of the forks but not too tight that you feel any resistance when turning the bars
WTH was the point of that !?
